This is the Chinese adaptation of the same storyline. I really love this version. Others might argue with me about the merits and downfalls of this version verses others, but isn’t that the beauty of opinions?

Boys over flowers is third official adaptation of the Japanese manga 'Hana yori dango'. It is also the most famous one. F4 Thailand is the 5th official adaptation of the same manga.

it's the same story and plot, this is an adaptation it just didn't get permission so it wasn't counted as an adaptation

so the ml has the same personality and practically the same life, minus the f4 part, he's arrogant and rich and finds himself falling for a poor girl that stands up to his bullying, I feel like this is a compilation.

This is the original adaptation of F4, dating back to the early 2000s. The classic starring Jerry Yan as Dao Ming Si and Barbi Hsu as Shancai. If you want to feel nostalgic and relive the times when people didn't use the internet, go for it!! I did not recommend Season 2 because it was really sad and frustrating.

-both rich ML.
-both poorer FL who is on scholarship.
-both ML bullies FL but they fall in love, (F4 has more severe bullying and more social media being used.)
-both ML fails at asking on the first date smoothly.
They are both very similar but F4 is Thai and D.D.Y.D is Chinese.
I loved them both, striking similarities.
Greatly recommend you watch it.

Both series are adaptation of a Japanese comic called Hana York Dango written by Kamio Yoko. They both have attractive main casts(Tsukushi and F4).

This gives me much F4 vibes...although it´s not a BL there are a lot of actors who belong to GMMTV also and the stories are kinda similar..
-Rich vs Poor
-Classmates
-Social Classes
-Bullying
The main thing here is the money and power, if you like this kind of stories you will like this one too :)

Both are a FL who becomes close to a group of four guys. Both feature a triangle in the romance storyline.

- Both are school stories, (young love, etc)
- both show the gap between the rich and those less so

It is also an adaptation of the same Boys Over Flowers Saga and I must say that it is my favourite.
The acting is superb and the casting as well as the direction. The modern touch and new innovation has definitely made it worth the watch.

Both have bad boy MLs who bully the FL at first, and a love triangle between the ML, FL, and a nicer, gentler SML. Both are set in school.

Both dramas are about a poor girl who becomes involved with four guys who are a package group. She becomes close to each of them and develops a romantic relationship with the most difficult one of the four who she clashes with at first.

I know this may seem strange but i found so many stuff resembling this lakhorn to the modern F4 Thailand that it just blew my mind away.

First of all, the character of Theewarat belongs to the archetype of the High chair tyrant. The same as with Thyme from F4 Thailand. Both are drunk in their power and products of their environment. They like to brag, are arrogant and look down on people thinking that they are able to buy everything for money.

Well that is at least until they meet their female leads. Their female leads are having nothing of their crappy behaviour and infuriates them at every turn when both Theewarat & Thyme realizes they have no power over them. And that they are losing their hearts to them.

Both are enemies-to-friends-to-lovers story-lines. Both are fated soulmates and have the sky and earth symbolism in their storylines.

"When the Sky Falls" is a historical romance drama with action and adventure mixed in while "F4 Thailand" is a modern high-school drama that tackles bullying, growth and society commentary.

But both dramas does the redemption arc for our both Anti-hero Male Leads so well.
