The storyline is quite down to earth. It touches on youthful dreams, first love, working world ruthlessness, start up struggles, success and defeat.
Throughout ML&FL 6 years journey from high school, they faced lots of challenges- from family, friends and colleagues. But their love rises above these challenges to finally get where they are today...at their wedding.

2020 has been shitty but it also gave me Forever Love
If I could give this drama gajillion stars then I would. I love these kinds of drama where you could see their journey as they mature in age and personality. The leads have the near chemistry. They served their best and not only them.. also the supporting roles as well. Forever Love has an overall effect in me. A rewatch top tier indeed.
No unnecessary breakups here. My only problem is probably they were all suddenly OK with every person who wants both of them to fail. I mean I understand forgiveness or maybe not? Or maybe Linxi and Zhenghan are just damn good people not to let negative mindsets of other people affect them. Like I wanna beat up Qinyue and Zhili for their audacity. Wanna slap some sense to zhuang fei and senior who obviously is not looking for the wellfare of her juniors.
But overall... Forever Love is such an experience. It was a joy to watch. Hanzhi did so well and Anyu too. The chemistry is just there and the fact that they both have nuances in their acting and does not leave any scene dry is such a gift.

A Feel Good Light hearted drama
If you are looking for an adorable youth romance which will keep you smiling at the couple without too much drama or antagonists, then this is the show for you! Of course, it has it's share of love triangles & characters that you may want to fight but what's a show without some spice. The best thing though, is that it never becomes too much to handle.I have to give it to the main leads for adding life to the characters because the plot itself was nothing extraordinary or never seen before but they played it so well that you can't help but smile at the cuteness and root for their happiness. PS: They both have beautiful smiles
One highlight was how natural the chemistry between the protagonists was, the smiles, the looks passed will leave you feeling content & happy. The pair is supportive without being overbearing. Both leads are smart, capable and understanding towards each other. They might not always make the smartest decisions or go about dealing with their life problems in the best way but you won't see any third person creating issues for them.
Overall, it's a show I would love to binge watch again & makes me look forward to more shows by both the main leads.

The 2nd to Last Episode Ruined The Whole Show *SPOILER *
The conflict in the relationship introduced in the second to last episode ruined the show for me. Why did the main leads need to separate for two years. Her choice to accept her mom's deal and go abroad was stupid. It makes all of the choices tge leads made to stay together was made redundant; eapecially considering the female lead was so mad at the male lead for doing the same thing. There was no point of me watching the last episode. For some reason the mothers on these coming of age dramas couldn't get any worse. Solid, Slice of Life Drama
This is a fun, stress free drama. There are no tearful, agonizing moments. It's a good drama to watch when you are in between dramas or want to relax during the evening. I really like the healthy relationship of the lead couple and it was nice to see both characters become more confident and mature. There is a sense of nostalgia watching this as it reminds the reader of innocent first love. I would have wanted to see the mains overcome more challenging obstacles together. This series will fill your heart with all the beautiful elements of a storyline, casting and characters. Kudos to the whole crew, actors and writers. This is a well written story with strong characters.From High school to college to growing up and getting married, it tackles all difficulties in life. Failing and achieving high score in school to failures in startup and being successful and getting married. The cast are so perfect for all their role, seemed like they are really well chosen to act so naturally and delivery their character perfectly.
Your heart will be extremely satisfied watching this. thank you to the whole crew for such a good story!

It's not for singles?just avoid it
Just a perfect high school story to start and end with such a beautiful and remarkable notes thats makes it a impeccable drama and also gives a lesson that life is not easy for anyone, there are many ups and downs, so you have to choose which path you'll get along with. I'm gonna rewatch it sometime. Just go for it. Just love the characters. A nice rom-com drama to enjoy on weekends and specially when you away from your family and your closest ones and students don't watch it please study and work hard don't waste your on this type of dramas just a healthy remainderWas this review helpful to you?
Best romantic coming-of-age drama!
I thoroughly enjoyed the romance in this drama for many reasons:1. No love triangle drama where either lead wavers, it was super awesome to see the pair committed to each other.
2. Not too cheesy dialogues or over the top kiss scenes, every moment was true magic and well written into the storyline.
3. No unnecessary conflicts, dragged out jealousy or misunderstandings that didn't get resolved quickly. Yes, unrequited love for each lead exists but they're never given a serious chance or make the leads waver.
4 Seeing the ML & FL mature and support each other through and through was very refreshing.
I can go on an on, but the recent editorial does much more justice to the magic that Forever Love is.

Cute and beleivable
Oh I did love this drama !Although I started it without much expectations, I truly got hooked.
The lead is suuuuper charming, warm, intelligent and well-balanced. The female lead is not perfect, not overly silly, dressed well, carries herself well and is independant. Nice banter, squabbles and flirting between the leads too.
There are of course lots of cliches in this drama but I cannot but feel calmer, happier, rosier, as I finish this.
I just finished Love o20 in the same story type and I much much perfered this one.

A love that never falters
This drama was about a love that never falters. Throughout the entire show, the main characters are confident in themselves and their love. Once they actually get together, they do not doubt each other. They believe in themselves, each other, and their abilities. They believe in each other's strength and fight together to ensure that they will be together in the end. The drama they face together, with the support of their friends, results in a happy ending. The writers even gave all the characters redeemable qualities which may be unrealistic, but made the drama easy to watch. The visuals were stunning, especially the ML's bedroom eyes. (Sorry, I'm shallow like that sometimes. LOL) I enjoyed the difference in this drama, in that it started from the end and told their backstory. So while you know how it's going to end, you have to watch to see how it got there.Personally, I could have used another 8 or so episodes focused on the side characters as well. I would like to have seen more of their journey.
