I started this drama with no expectation because it was a recommendation from YouTube and I decided to give it a try. Here I am being grateful that I found this gem, a drama with pure and innocent love everyone needs^^

STORY: The drama started with Xia Lin Xi a very bright and intelligent high school girl who was given the task to make sure all her classmates were on class,and that was when she met Jiang Zheng Han. Xia Lin Xi managed to make him come back to school and somehow Zheng Han became her tutor just to earn money but he ended falling for her. Later,something happened and Jiang Zheng Han had to leave with telling her about it and Xia Lin Xi thought he broke their promise and was heart broken.
A year passed by and both Jiang Zheng Han and Xia Lin Xi reunited in university and they both became a couple after so many pleas and confession from Jiang Zheng Han and that led to their Forever Love.

ACTING/CAST: Most important reason why I loved and enjoyed this drama was because of the characters acting,it was amazing they displayed and pulled off an amazing acting. Zhang Huai Wu( principal's son) acting was just great,whenever he was on screen I would laugh so much simply because he is so funny just like his father lol.
Jiang Zheng Han and Xia Lin Xi chemistry was great,their scenes were just so sweet and all the time Xia Lin Xi stood beside Zheng Han when he was a nobody despite her mother telling her to break up with him made my heart flutter. They're just the cutest^^
Chen Yu Chuan bragging about being the second best always was just so cute too lol.

The OST used is so beautiful,calming,relaxing and goes well with the scenes.

Overall I would say,this drama is definitely a must watch for those who love college dramas and those who don't too hehe

One of the best School Life to Adulting China drama I've watched.

I really loved the 2 main leads together, their chemistry is really good.
One thing I really like about this drama is that both ML and FL are mature and there wasn't any misunderstandings caused by communication problems like in many dramas. They say what they needed to say and cleared up any unhappiness immediately when something happens. They stick together through thick and thin and never let anyone get between them.

The character development for the leads was also great. The FL comes from a well-off family and started off making a few snub comments regarding the ML spending all his time earning money instead of studying like what a student should be doing. But over time she came to understand ML's actions and also encouraged him to change him for the better. Great and natural interactions between them.

Its a pity they did not put much effort into the 2nd couple. Gu Xiao Man blindlessly continues to love Chen Yi Chuan without any reason, and even after being treated badly by him continuously until he finally realises his own feelings. They did not justify the reason behind their feelings and also there was no growth.
There is however growth in Chen Yi Chuan's character himself than his love line.

Overall I'm head over heels for the main leads and would definitely rewatch this again.

Beautiful drama (MUST READ MY REVIEW FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE DRAMA)

If you want a smart leads who go through every obstacle together without break up then this drama is for you.
The leads are smart in their own way, one is hardworking and other is genius. I loved their characters so much.
FL is not dumb, she is a very hardworking girl, down to earth and always stand up for herself and for the ones who is wronged. She is a brave girl. Before she met ML her life is prearranged, everything was arranged according to her mother but after she met ML she began to explore herself, she always does things that what she wanted to do, she knew what she wanted after she is close to ML. The actress is beautiful and her acting is on point. ML first shown as arrogant and con man but you will realise that the first impression on him is so wrong because he is very hardworking and responsible person. He is kind of a guy who is meant for leadership. He is kinda flirty, mischievous and has his own charisma, I even loved his hairstyle throughout the drama may be because the actor is so handsome and the acting is superb. At first in school days he was always misunderstood by everyone even though he is kind but after sometime FL is there to help him. ML is the person who doesn't care about future but because of FL he began to realise the importance of the future path. I loved how they influenced each other in the better way.
The storyline from high school days to wedding day is beautiful and realistic. They have their up and downs and faced many obstacles together and supported each other. Before they got together they kinda seperated but they resolved in 2 episodes but once they started dating they never break up , this is one of the reason why I really liked the story because I'm tired of watching dramas where leads are separated because of every single fight or misunderstanding but thankfully in this series there is none of that nonsense. Leads have great chemistry, full of fluff. Actually their love story doesn't felt forced because in some dramas you will be thinking why they suddenly started liking each other but in this drama you will feel why they attracted to each other and their love story does comes naturally. All actors did great job. Every character matured in their own way.
The storyline arc about 'start up' is very realistic because every business has there up and downs but in this story they had problems in business but they handled the pressure and issues very maturely. I loved whenever ML was at lowest point FL always there to support him and whenever ML is dispirited FL always handles him maturely and give correct encourage words to make him feel charged up. Both are very sensible persons. The friendship between the group is precious.
There was one thing which I really liked in this story is whenever FL wanted her private space then ML always gives her space, always respect her and her decisions and silently supports her, he is not a jerk or a possessive guy but a mature and real gentleman. They always communicate their problems.
In this show the leads always indirectly indicate that doraemon is ML and nobita is FL and at their confession scene (at ep 12) they have mentioned about doraemon and nobita, I had repeated that scene to understand what they actually meant and when I finally understood I found it is very heart touching and romantic.
Everyone should watch the series without high expectations then you will love the show, some people might find it boring but for me it is simple and beautiful drama and I loved the flow of the storyline.
Definitely didn't regret watching this series. Definitely re-watching it. It may not be perfect drama or best drama but this show is close to realistic and with better mature lead characters. Wish they had more episodes.

Light-hearted piece with a pure puppy love

This is a story about a couple from their teenage time all the way to grown-up working life.

A good choice for people that is looking for a simple and pure story. TBH there wasn't having very spectacular plots, but it was not too bad too! I personally enjoy the first half more which is the part of the high school campus life.

Despite being very young and new in acting, two main actor and actress got pretty good acting skills, with natural interactions and on-point chemistry, making it very enjoyable! Two of them are always together with one another in this drama (unlike other drama where they always argue, breakup etc), and I thought I was going to be bored with their dating story but apparently I don't! Maybe because the love between them are just so pure that you will not get enough with it :)

Nice pace, opening and chemistry

I like how this series starts with ML and FL wedding, with the start of each episode the wedding proceedings are played out. The pace and flow so far is great for this series. It keeps you hook on the series just to see how the wedding plays out and how the couple got to this point.

I was not that convinced with this pairing from the start, but the FL lead Xiang Han Zhi really played out her role of a perfect student well. This is the first project that I have seen her in but I was sold after 8 episodes. FL character is fiercely loyal and a brilliant student but with a tiger mom that is very focused on ML's school results only.

Wang An Yu has also grown in his projects till date and he looks great in this role too. I am a fan of his growth as an actor. In this series he plays a math/computer genius but with many personal issues after his family's factory closes, from financial burdens, moral burdens and even parent's health issues.

The ML and FL chemistry can really be felt from the wedding proceedings and how they look at each other. After the 8 beginning episodes, I feel that this will be a good couple pairing and is sold that they really care and grow with each other. ML really knows how to flirt with the FL very well and the FL responses well too. Its really sweet to watch the process and end the year 2020 with such a sweet series about promises (which are not meant to be broke). So in my opinion this is a better pairing than the currently running chinese drama of twisted fate of love and you complete me.

Episode 1-6 is when they are in high school, puppy love or infatuation stages, FL really starts to understand ML at this stage and ML opens up to her when he has shut out the world and was only focused on monetary gains.

Episode 7-12 is when they are at the same university, So it should be the pursue/ courtship stages. Episode 12 is when ML and FL confirm their relationship.

Episode 13-18 the development of their relationship and the side couple relationships

Episode 18 -28 onwards its just career, family and getting to the marriage stage

If there is one weakness in this series, I would say its the voice dubbing, especially the voice of yuan hao (FL neighbor that is interested in her), which is a pity because I had really liked this actor in the Romance of Hua Rong when he played a pirate captain.

Completed this series and the early stages of this series is the best in terms of romance, but as it went on, the love scenes became lesser and lesser, last deep kiss scene that i can recall is at the cinema. After that its just downhill and we dont even see a wedding kiss, which is a pity since the FL and ML had such great chemistry. Easygoing, sweet and simple.

I thought this would be a very typical school drama and would be boring but go my surprise I LOVED it!!! It was so sweet and I love that there weren’t any arguments between the main leads even though they encountered problems. It showed the ups and downs in life and was quite realistic. Another good thing was that they got together quite early in the drama to my surprise (not complaining). There was a love triangle but for some reason this time I didn’t get the second male lead syndrome!!! Maybe because he did a few bad things.
I like that it was the boy who was poor and the girl who was rich. We don’t always get such a storyline. These kind of dramas are always refreshing.
All the friends were amazing as well.
The main lead was so cute and it was my first time watching him act. I am a big fan of him now. The FL also did a good job. She was so understanding and supported him no matter what.
One thing I would suggest is that maybe they could have shown a little more of their happy times. Like the male lead became so successful at the end, they could have shown their life more when she returned from abroad. This is just my opinion.
Overall, it was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this drama.

Main couple is the highlight!

This is a decently well executed high school/ uni romance drama, but the main couple scenes are definitely the highlight.

I love how the whole drama is sort of a flashback from their wedding (similar to Le Coup de Foudre). The overall plot in the end was decent and paced well, but nothing special. The main couple open up to each other quickly. They have different backgrounds, but they match up to each other very well. I love how the female lead is smart, strong and willing to speak up for herself. The main couple scenes are just too sweet, sometimes way too cheesy, but I still loved those. It is the first time seeing the main actor/actress, but they both did an excellent job. Especially the way the ML stares at the FL just melts the hearts of the viewers!

As a lot of people have already given it a 10/10, without much criticism, I will just list some not-so-good stuffs of this drama:
- last ~8 episodes story line was not really interesting to me
- introduction of way too many love triangles, but then never taking the time to develop any of them properly
- too many annoying side characters that I had to skip the scenes of
- the second couple is really boring, and the way their "relationship" developed makes absolutely no sense. They spent quite some time of this couple, while there were way more interesting characters (e.g. Duan Ning, Wen Yue) that deserved their character development time.

BEST SCHOOL CHINESE DRAMA

Worth my time watching.. realistic story of love, friendship, family as well as working environment. The leads match well with each other and whole cast. The storyline is so amazing.. A realistic view of a relationship that is mostly common in real life these days (unlike many dramas both rich characters), how they deal and overcome issues both in love, family and work. How he proved his love for her despite of his familu status. How she stayed by his side thru ups and down👍👍👍

They are both rookie in showbusiness but they nailed it. Hope to watch more dramas of u two. I really love their chemistry.

Absolutely Adorable

If you are in the mood for an easy watch that is sweet and heartwarming, then I highly recommend this drama. Is the story something you've never seen before? Probably not. On the surface it is just another school romance Cdrama. However, the lead characters really set this drama apart.
Let's start with the female lead. If you watch a lot of Cdramas you probably know that they have a tendency to make the female leads, "stupid" and clumsy. This female lead is intelligent and confident. Sad that this is even something that makes a drama stand out but here we are. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first leading role for this actress and she really did a great job.
As for the male lead... I'm totally in love with this character. He is supportive, sweet, and doesn't ever try and stifle the female lead. There is one scene that really epitomizes why I love this character so much. The second lead says, "I've been protecting her for so long" (even though she is totally capable) and our male lead says, "She isn't a girl who needs protection. Do you understand? She pursues freedom." I wanted to stand up and give a round of applause when he said that. Also, I have to say this actor is exceptional. He is able to express so much with just his eyes and has the best micro expressions. The way he looks at the female lead... just watch and you'll know what I'm talking about. Whenever another character fell in love with him, I was like really who wouldn't? He oozes confidence and charisma.
Together they make an adorable couple. The actors really make you believe they are in love with each other with just a look. There is an ease and comfort between them that makes it all seem very natural and organic. Honestly I would have been fine even if they never kissed because their hug scenes are cute enough.
However, there were a couple things I didn't love about this drama:
-The cousin/best friend love side story. I'm sick of these female characters that desperately follow around some dude. I didn't understand for one second why she liked him. I wanted her to end up with the other guy who was actually nice to her. I will re-watch this drama, but I am skipping their scenes. The cousin was annoying and never grew on me as a character.
-The female lead's mom is too much. Take your typical overbearing Cdrama mom and turn it up to 100 and you have this mom. She is completely unlikeable and treated her husband and daughter like trash. I felt suffocated just watching her. So while the drama is easy to watch for the most part, her scenes are not.
All in all a very endearing drama that made me smile.

One of the best CDramas I've seen

Basically this was of the few Cdramas I looked forward to every week. The actors were extremely believable and did not over act their parts. The girls didn't act dumb and submissive which can be very cliché for Cdramas. And the chemistry between the two leads was undeniable. You can feel their love on the the screen which made this drama so so watchable. The plot was unique and the episodes didn't drag like some Cdramas. The supporting casts had their own unique stories and kept the drama interesting.
Please watch it, don't waste your time on other high school Chinese dramas, this one will be up there and it will be your most remembered.

Interesting story, smart leads

STORY: Great story. Different than the traditional rich man, poor girl. In forever love, both the guy and girl are smart and capable and come from well to do families (not anymore for the boy). Development of the relationship between the two main leads is entertaining to watch. A simple story but so nicely done and original.
EXECUTION: Acting is great from everyone on set. Some episodes has start with a time skip to the marriage between the two main leads, I personally really enjoy the time skips. Main couple gets together EP 12. Main couple doesn't breakup and make things unnecessarily complicated. Music is great and quality of the show is on par with expectations.
OVERALL: After finishing this show, I changed my review from 8.5 to 10/10. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this show. Forever love reminds me of Le coup de flounder. Watch if you enjoy school to marriage romances, back story, and capable male/female leads. This drama seems to be a good pick for learning Chinese if you'r interested.
