Start-Up (2020)

They’re both totally different story but with same vibe, such as:

- both are romance
- both are office/ workplace story
- both are AI/ tech related story (Start-up, the whole story, but in Yumi’s cells, it’s in ML-side)
- both were the male first who had crush on the female lead (at first sight, then pursue her)
- both male are smart but don’t dress well (not fashionable) but when dressed well they became good looking
- both has strong female lead - tough… in workplace specifically

A young CEO of a IT Tech Company (who built this startup company called Next-In) eventually got involved w/ a employee who he has a past. Drama surrounds itself w/ a mix of high-technology. The CEO also has a prosopagnosia, a person who has trouble w/ face recognition. Then the story goes from there. A 7.5/10 watch.

They have in common the rivalry, the winning ideas and the desire to offer innovative content. Convincing exposure, planning and genius are key.

they both have people with a dream struggling to reach their goals and dreams
i think they have a similar vibe even though they have different plots all together.

the plot surrounding the main leads is almost identical. The love triangle, the high production quality, the excellent actors are all similarities as well.

Both are business dramas with strong female leads, who have a love-hate relationshop. Although the plots are different, they give of a simillar vibe

At first glance, these two shows would seem like they have nothing in common save for Kim Seon Ho being in both of them. And you'd be right... to an extent. But both of these shows also have:
> Kim Seon Ho plays a very similar character; loving, sacrificial, and incredibly nice. But while he's the 2ML in Start-Up, he's the ML in CTG.
> The ML falls in love with the FL first.
> One of the leads is not honest/keeps a secret from the other for more than half of the drama.
> There is a love triangle. In Start-Up the Love Triangle becomes the main plot; whereas in CGT there's a double love triangle but it's a small aspect of the plot.

Similarities:
- Both dramas are bout the journey of a start-up company that aims to better the lives of those in need
- Both dramas include a love line between the main characters who are colleagues and business partners in the start-up
- In both dramas FL is inexperienced in technology but she is headstrong and passionate about helping and making a difference; and both FLs maintain leader positions in their start-ups
- In both dramas the start-up company is attempting to become successful through a competition; in Start-Up they are participating in a Sandbox event, and in Unicorn ni Notte they are participating in a competitive event held by Cyber Mobile (CEO Haneda Sachi) called the Unicorn Creation Project.
Differences:
- Since Unicorn ni Notte has just started, I can't say much about differences except that in Unicorn ni Notte they are also addressing the issue of age-knowledge gap in the workplace, where one of the new employees in Dream Pony (name of the start-up) is a middle aged man with little knowledge of technology. Although he has been in the economic workfield for a long time, he has little experience with technology and thus is a disadvantageous asset to many companies who adopt technology in their work. Despite this, he is a seasoned worker and passionate about learning more about technology. In Unicorn ni Notte we will likely also see his development and relationship with the FL, ML, and rest of the Dream Pony team.

Takanashi Hinako is a 30-year-old office lady who has been working as a secretary at Relation Gate for the past 8 years. Everyday, the company's charismatic president would give her various "impossible tasks", making her single for the past 6 years and have no time to think about her future. One day, the president gives Hinako an extremely huge "impossible task" - Be the president of the company's subsidiary.

FL longs for a man and mistaken and fell for another man that she thought was the man she's waiting for.

Everyone has dreams or a BIG WHY that pushes them to succeed, or do their best despite obstacles, whether it's lack of resources, experience or even luck. I liked the messages behind both dramas that inspire us to dream. Dream BIG!

Both has the same theme about Start-up a new idea, project, company and then make big. Both has dream, team work, supportive friends, great idea, hard work, faces harsh challenges. Young enthusiastic people.

Both are about People in their 20s trying to become successfull, and working together
Love Triangle, where the ML hides his true identity
Interesting Family Dynamics.
Both are funny, make you feel inspired and are well written, filmed and acted.

Both are youth based dramas where the main characters are trying to make it big in the world by starting their own businesses.
Kim Seon Ho comes off as a common link between both these dramas by acting as a capital investment mastermind.
Personal /professional relationships getting blurred is a also a common ground.

While the story is quite different both shows have a similar aesthetic and the FL has a similar feeling and energy (soft but strong, emotional but hopeful).
