Satoshi is sick and he tries to hide his illness from the others. Also, Kiyama's secret is revealed as a nasty rumor about him starts to spread - Wataru, knowing the truth, defends him. As Satoshi experiences an attack in front of the club members, he's forced to give up his dream of doing a group performance for the sake of his health. Kiyama, also, overcomes what happened in his past with the help of Wataru.

Kiyama's burden

Shunsuke's Kiyama is a picture of a boy who is forced to grow up after being exposed to what it means to take responsibility.

How he copes with his loss, unfortunately, is also how he loses part of himself in the process. He wallows in his guilt so much that he couldn't even consider moving on and isolates himself from his friends.

This episode brings Satoshi from the club and Kiyama on one hand, how Wataru proves Kiyama still has friends who believe in him on the other...and ultimately, how this gymnastics club is the channel where he can move on and regain that sense of belongingness.
