Now that I thought I understood a bit of this world we suddenly change palce... NOice!I love the way Shang Que is having some fun with the fact that his Lord (even though he won't admit it for anything in the world) is completely fallen in love with Lanhua, bit he hates dealing with his lover, he find her such a pain in the ass at the moment! PUHAHAHAHAHAThe new environment is pretty interesting, and I want to know more about Daqiang's background!His brother doesn't seem to have missed him particularly much and also the fact that he killed his father is interesting, hopefully we'll find something out soon! ??Let's see in the next episode what that kiss means! ?

You know Xiaolanhua already got under Dongfang Qingcang's skin when he creates the arbiter hall for her in Cangyan Sea. Rationally, XLH only needs food but DFQC also noted that she might miss her home so, with his limited knowledge about human emotions, he tried to recreate her home. It's just so sweet.

This episode was pretty epic! From start to finish! Watching Dongfang Qing Cang return and all those men bowing. Orchid joining in. To see Dongfang Qing Cang pleased by cowing her, but then being bothered and just wanting her to be like before with him. His anger getting the best of him when he couldn't understand what she liked about her real home. I mean the surprise was amazing, but I get Orchid. Sometimes a fake is the worse. A replica can hurt more. Oh, and she brings up Chang Heng again. So yeah jealousy ensues.
It's interesting to meet Dongfang Qing Cang's brother. Dongfang Qing Cang realizes his brother wants to kill him for murdering his father. So I'm guessing little brother didn't get brutalized by daddy dearest.
The other two men looming over Orchid's life don't get as much time, but they're being setup for their plots. Chang Heng wants to storm the place and kill Dongfang Qing Cang, but Immortal Empero is flexing his muscle saying Chang Heng can't do anything unless he gives the command. Rong Hao is infurated at the failure of his plan. He vows to get Orchid and the Spirit book one way or the another!
This was the perfect kind of build up for the forbidden love that this drama clearly is. Oh, that ending. Orchid I didn't know you had it in you! That was no accidental slip kiss. Oh, no. Dongfang Qing Cang can't fight it. He wanted to help her and reach out. He can't resist! I can't imagine where the next episode is going to go! I mean I can, but . . . will it?

I dig this. The acting, wardrobe/hair, CGI, and plot, are all outstanding. I personally am fond of the lead's performances that perfect the dynamic of good vs evil, soft vs hard, dark vs light.. People are attacking the FL over her innocent annoyance, but it is all in line to what this story is about. FORBIDDEN LOVE/ROMANCE/FRIENDSHIP amongst opposite personalities from opposite worlds. This only the beginning [ep 10/36] and I already am rooting for both sides through the treacherous hidden inside the god's and the devil's world. Both have to watch their back from their own people. I want Dongcang to protect Orchid from Rong and the king and I want Zhang heng to redeem himself in her eyes. I want her to stay in the devil realm and also go back home. This emotionally puzzling feeling of rooting for both sides (but mostly fl/ml) is really exciting. Dylan Wang's skill is body language, eye language and expressions are dangerously good in playing a dark lord. He is the stand out for me in this series. Also, Though Esther has to play such a role, she does it well and quickly grows on you. She is lovely.
