im shocked

2 years ago i started put your head on my shoulder and i said ok the fl and the ml were so cute together because he was a shy kid and the fl really helped him to be more talkative...on December i saw the same fl with the second lead of pyhoms and i said no way bc they werent a good match back then. BUT their chemistry on that series... its unbelievable. ive seen so many cdramas but i think it's the first time that i saw soooo passionate kissing scenes. also their acting skills are so improved especially the ml i almost didnt recognise him.
fully recommended!!!!

Lighthearted romance drama, however the last two episodes are disappointing

If you like lighthearted romance dramas, then you should watch "My Little Happiness".

The story is stuffed with clichés, but it didn't bother me at all because of the good acting and chemistry of the leads Cong Rong and Wen Shao Qing. Dialogues, camera, editing, continuity are all on a high level.
Wen Rang is a little bit annoying, as I can't relate two is apathetic behaviour.

It's an entertaining drama that never becomes boring...
...well except of the last two episodes that very very disappointing:
The last two episodes don't fit to the rest: neither in terms of quality of production nor in the story itself.
My guess: due to the COVID pandemic and maybe as a tribute to the medics and volunteers they added this "earthquake" storyline which is totally unnecessary and lacks of realism. Realism that can't be achieved with a drama budget where a natural disaster is just a sub plot.
Second: How can Wen Shao Qing decide on his own to have babies with Cong Rong and announce this in front of the whole family without having discussed this with her in advance?
This doesn't fit to a young, well educated, ambitious and career-oriented couple as they appeared in the episodes before.

DADDI CAN BE MY DADDY. SORRY, BUT YOU'LL GET IT ONCE YOU WATCH THIS. PLEASANT SURPRISE, THIS GEM.

Let me be honest and say coming into this drama I was expecting a 7.0 star rating. Like average, not very good, but not extremely bad drama. I was only here because well... hot doctor! I was thinking this was going to be trashy, but this actually had substance! I'm way too gone to function when it comes to hot doctors. I can't resist. I have a huge thing for hot doctors, and Daddi did not help. He dropped me off a cliff.

Things:
- Shang Guan Yi backed the fuck off. He never actually did anything, which I really liked. I was wondering if I would respect him or want to mutilate him by the end of this... well, let's just say mutilate him, I did not.
- Qin Chu, yes, started off annoying. But then she did back the fuck off. Thank you.
- The kisses weren't horrible. They also weren't very... hm, how do I put this? Aggressive? Gently agressive? They were much more romantic than passionate, let's say. Daddi clearly did most of the heavy lifting, but Fair at least wasn't a statue (*cough cough Love O2O; ZS was a certified statue; Yang Yang broke his back carrying their scenes).
- There's not an actual break-up! There was an "oof" moment, but you get over it quickly.
- Misunderstandings before they get together, but hey, what drama doesn't? I'm just glad that Wen Shao Qing didn't text her being "Chubby" without her knowing. I was afraid the story would go that way.
- Things are cleared up relatively quickly. One episode usually.
- I think this is the first time I gave a real shit about the secondary relationship! Wen Rang was honestly... ugh with a slice of mmmm and a piece of awww. Dude was so... interesting somehow. His whole vibe and demeanour thing? I dig it. Zhou Cheng Cheng was pretty typical of a best friend character. Nothing really bad to say about her. I'm glad she decided to basically say "fuck you" to Wen Rang. It was his turn to chase her, so I was glad she stood her ground.
- Holy shit, that height difference! In some close-up scenes, it was clear that they probably boosted Fair up because when the camera backs away, you see Daddi is like a whole head and a half taller than her! Ouch, to both their necks. The height difference is kinda cute though, no cap.
- This is intoxicatingly cute. Disgustingly cute. Sometimes a bit unrealistic, but eh, fuck it. Very pleasant surprise for me.

If I could, this deserves 8.25 stars.

Perfect To Me

I couldn't ask for a better drama for the start of 2021. The main cast was amazing. I was intrigued by the plot. Didn't have the messy interference of love triangles or family dramas like most dramas. From childhood love to a happy end for the main characters to the second leads finding their own love story was worth watching. But this review is my opinion. Of course, this drama may not be for everyone. Everyone has their own specific drama niche. But at least give it a shot before judging. And if it's not for you, there are many other dramas in dramaland. Happy watching or happy drama hunting to fellow drama lovers out there.

Cute drama with clichés and without much drama

I'm usually all for drama, break ups and stuff like that in relationships, but surprisingly I enjoyed this a lot. Even though there's a lot of clichés it doesn't bother me so much. I'm glad to see that the female lead is not dependent on the male lead even after they started dating. She shows a lot of strong sides and does not give up on the stuff she believes in. Though, if I had to criticize something about her: the last few episodes did not really make any sense for me. I didn't really see the reason for her to go volunteer to help with the earthquake just so that she could go see the ML. I do think that her leaving her job behind is against everything she has shown so far, but other than that Fair Xing did a great job at portraying Cong Rong.

As for the ML i don't really have much to say. He starts out as your typical cold ML who does not care for the FL at all. I do think that he "fell in love" with her way too quickly. I feel like you didn't get to see any build up in their relationship and we didn't see a growth in his character since he was pretty much the same from the moment he found out who the FL really was.

I do wanna compliment the leads. They had great chemistry and i quickly forgot that I wasn't watching Fu Pei and Si To Mo acting together. As someone who very much enjoyed PYHOMY this was the biggest fear I had going into this drama. They looked cute together and I enjoyed watching it. I do wanna point out one thing about their relationship. The reason why I only wanna give the story a 8 is because I don't really see many interesting moments about them after they started dating. I started out this review by stating that i love drama in relationships and this story did not have any for the lead couple. There is a small misunderstanding between them, but they don't break up or anything. In my head it just got pretty boring watching them being sweet with each other in every single episode, but if you're looking for a drama without any break up, then this is definitely the drama for you.
The kissing scenes are great too. Theres many of them and they didn't look awkward. Even the second leads had more kissing scenes than some leads in other dramas have had.

What I liked the most about this drama is definitely the second leads. They are the definition of what I would like to see in a drama. There's denial, angst, emotion and fluffy moments between them. Both of them showed a growth in characters and had much more of a development than the main leads had. They made this drama enjoyable and gave me a break from the main leads, so if I were to watch this drama again it would surely be because of them. I seen that the SFL can come off as annoying at times, but I didn't see any of this to be honest. Yes, she does seem a bit childish but I think she pulled it off and even though she matured a bit, she still didn't change her personality even when she started dating the SML. She stayed true to her childish side till the end which made her really cute and she is definitely one of my favorite characters one the show. The SML's growth is probably my favorite. Being someone who has been left heartbroken before, it's interesting to see how the SFL slowly makes him open up to new romances and the actor relly did a great job pulling off his role.

This got pretty long so please bare with me lol. Overall this is a very cute drama without much drama, so if you're looking for something cute, then I definitely would recommend you this.

Light and fluffy

This drama was vert light and fluffy, the ML surprised me tbh, i seen him as second lead in put your head on my shoulder, and then this, sooo much difference, so very mature, he did a great job with his role, it was very believable. The FL as always very sweet and cute, she is so short and the ML is soo tall and they're literally the cutest couple... soooo cute

If you're looking for something lighthearted and fluffy, you got the right show here. you wouldn't be disappointment with all the sweetness when the couple get together. something to watch that would put you in great sweet fluffy mood.

A very chill, laidback, feel good drama

This is one of those dramas that gives you a warm cozy feeling like you’re sipping on hot cocoa while snuggling under a warm blanket reading a good book. It just gives off chill laid back vibes. Some may call it slow because its more focused on the leads everyday lives and careers and there’s not a lot of angst. But that’s how slice of life dramas are supposed to be. They don’t use misunderstandings, overbearing parents, or scheming second leads to make the drama interesting. Instead, they delve further into normal everyday situations finding deeper meanings and understandings of things. And this is a classic example of how a good slice of life drama should be. It pairs soft sweet music with the poetic musings of various characters thoughts throughout the drama which I found both interesting and endearing.

And can I just say how refreshing it is to finally have a Chinese drama that doesn’t dress its female lead in odd looking clothes that are at least two sizes too big? It’s one of my biggest gripes about Chinese dramas lately. Fortunately this female leads wardrobe is not only form fitting but it’s very stylish and flattering too. And speaking of the female lead, I just love that she’s a strong, confident, woman that knows exactly what she wants and is willing to put in the hard work it will require to achieve her dreams. And even though she’s confident, she’s not arrogant or rude. I also like what she says about her desire to be a lawyer and why she has such a strong sense of justice. She says; “the silent majority is a victims accomplice. I can’t stay silent. As long as I can make even a little bit of change to society then my dreams will come true. We must uphold justice even if it’s trivial justice.” Her character is very likable because even though she has a very high profile career she’s still down to earth and dedicated to helping others.

The male lead isn’t your typical arrogant chaebol with a cold aloof personality. Even though he’s a doctor with a wealthy family background, he’s very kind and considerate. And he’s especially nice to the female lead as he chases her. He’s very principled with strong work ethics and a deep desire to help others. I like how he’s so cool and sexy one minute, then a sweet little puppy the next minute. And boy is he obsessed with kissing the female lead or what? I’ve watched hundreds of Asian dramas and I’ve never seen one with so many kisses. And they were such realistic kisses too. If you’re looking for a drama with real kisses, lots of skinship, and an epic romance, you’ve come to the right place.

I’m not usually into the side couples in dramas but the second leads romance is really quite good. At first I didn’t like the second female lead because of her tendency to cry at the drop of a hat. But she grew on me as her character began to mature. I liked that after she got her tears out of the way she was always very determined to keep working hard toward her goals. And she was a very loyal and thoughtful friend too. I liked her character and her romance was both realistic and sweet.

The main drawback of this drama is the storyline. It touches on many interesting subjects like dealing with meddling parents that oppose their children's career choices, how judgemental people are towards doctors, how unfairly lawyers are viewed, and how the elderly are easily taken advantage of. At the same time it’s dealing with the main leads romance and the issues they were facing in their careers. And they spent a ton of time on the secondary romance too. I think they were trying to put lots of little storylines into the drama to make it more interesting but it ended up backfiring for me. They spent too much time on trivial side stories and not enough time on the important stuff. If more time had been invested in the main leads lives and the challenges they faced in their careers as a doctor and lawyer, the drama would have been much better. For that reason, I deducted a point. The other problem I had was that they used the very much over used childhood friends reunited to become lovers trope. If this were my first drama or early on in my many years of drama watching I wouldn’t be so bothered by it. But I’m really tired of seeing this overused trope in dramas. Therefore, I deducted a half point.

That being said, I just loved that there were no evil exes, no parents opposing the romance, no love triangles, and no evil corporate bad guys. This drama was free of most of your typical cliche drama tropes that are so annoying which gave it a fresh unique feel. There was the one childhood friends to lovers trope but it was the only thing that was cliche about this drama. For the most part it was very unique and refreshing. I would definitely recommend watching this sweet fluffy romcom.

Loved it!

As a fan of 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder', I was a bit skeptical when I first saw that these two actors were paired together, since, if you've seen PYHOMS, you would know that they previously played friends who had feelings for each other in the past/had current feelings. I did not like Fu Pei in PYHOMS, but I watched this drama anyway because I loved Fair Xing in PYHOMS. I can gladly say that the two lead actors exceeded my expectations, and I think they have great chemistry. Daddi Tang, who plays the ML, Wen Shaoqing, has greatly improved since PYHOMS, and I think he did great in this drama.

There isn't much for plot in this drama, but I honestly was just looking for something cute to watch. The basic plot is that Cong Rong is an aspiring lawyer who moves back to China from Australia, who after getting an internship, is assigned to work as a mediator (is that the word?) at a hospital, where she meets one of the surgeons, Wen Shaoqing. Unbeknownst to her, Wen Shaoqing is actually her friend from childhood.

The second couple is also cute too, and by the end, I was rooting for them exclusively. Zhou Cheng Cheng, who is Cong Rong's best friend, owns a restaurant, which is next door to a small bookstore owned by Wen Shaoqing's uncle, Wen Rang. I thought their dynamic was absolutely great, although I wish they had gotten together sooner in the drama. In particular, I loved how willing they were to help each other with their individual businesses. I really like enemies -> friends -> lovers plots, and so thats why I think I particularly liked this couple.

I did not pay much attention to the OST, but I don't usually unless I happen to like the artist singing it.

This drama as a whole doesn't have much in terms of rewatch value. I think I'd rewatch just for the cute moments between Wen Shaoqing and Cong Rong, but I'd likely skip stuff unrelated to them.

Overall, I'd give this drama an 8/10, mainly for the somewhat lack of plot. The score is saved, however, by the actors/characters, as well as the really cute and romantic moments between both couples.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

[Contains some spoilers]

One of my favorite Chinese dramas so far.

I absolutely loved the characters, especially the ML.
I've always been a fan of childhood connection love stories, and this one did a great job with that.

While other people's "blockbuster curse" were fireworks, and fancy dinners, mine is mostly acts of service.
It's the kind that is expressed on a daily basis, it's the simple things someone does for you in your everyday life like cooking or fetching you from work.

The simplicity of this series made it so heartwarming for me, no annoying second male or female leads.
All the characters were great.

ML and FL's relationship wasn't perfect, but it was realistic (at least for me)
Both of them sacrificed willingly for each other, showing just how much they loved one another.

The confession, proposal, and FL's speech at their wedding truly left a big impression on me.

This series gave me a major "hangover" after I watched it. I still listen to the soundtrack to this day, reliving my favorite moments from the series.

This turned out to be surprisingly cute

Personally, I don’t expect much from Chinese dramas, and this wasn’t any different, Buh it surprised me. Gave me what I’ve been searching for for a while. No long trope, not a lot of unnecessary playing hard to get, Twas cute, romantic and steamy. The kind of romance that’ll make we the single ones out here wish we were in a relationship. I loved every kiss scene. They didn’t make us have to count the kiss scenes , we would have lost count anyway. Of course they were still cheesy and unnecessary parts, but if your expectations aren’t high, you won’t have much of a problem with them.

Great Drama!

This drama was amazing! I think there has been something in every drama I've ever watched that drove me nuts or a character that I hated but this drama didn't have any of that for me. I think they got every single thing about it right. I thought all the cast was amazing and had awesome chemistry together. I can't say enough good things about this but I will not say them here because you should enjoy it for yourself with no spoilers. I will just say that if you like a good romance and a little comedy on the side, this one is for you.
