It became this weird mix of horror, slice of life about unfulfilled dreams and mellow romance. And nothing matched well together. I understand that they needed to set up a proper motivation for Yamano Yamame to even move into these problematic houses, but so much focus on these failed dreams was not needed - it made the initial exposition too long and too boring.
Then we have the romantic undertones between Yamame and Azusa and honey, no one watches horrors for romance. Not one person. It never happened. It’s unnecessary.
And the worst aspect? No development nor closure for any of the actual ghost cases. The actual screen time they spent in these “hunted” locations is laughably short.
The worst crime though? Nao’s acting. She truly needs to tone it down. I have not seen someone this animated and over the top in a horror movie in a while. Girl was determined to use every muscle on her face in every scary shot, even if barely anything was happening to validate such a strong reaction.
Overall, poorly constructed plot, decent editing, mediocre directing, questionable acting.

I want to start off saying this movie wasn't terrible. The storyline is actually hella creepy ... but the pace is what completely killed this movie from being what it should have been. Everything about this movie was so slow that even in the parts it could have scare you..... it didn't. The pace was boring. Even set at a higher speed that made them walk and talk like someone on speed, did absolutely nothing to help the pacing... and that's sad.
This movie went on way longer than it should have imo.
I think the only actor I didn't like was the "big bad ghost" that was in the last house that was actually there from the start. That little battle scene had me laughing so freaking hard. Nakai was blowing the incense smoke on him and all I could see was that meme of the alien with "when the toilet paper shifts mid wipe and you drag your finger through mud valley (MEME: https://img.ifunny.co/images/70b59d7dac109af0195c3b2ff59a2a5f7f57939ed958feab7f77b339d43ee753_1.jpg )
That is honestly what it looked like and I couldn't stop laughing. So I'm sorry, I can't with this movie.
This is one movie I kinda wish would get a remake but.... better. Lol

I'm so confused but I kept watching it.
If you are looking for a pure horror and suspense movie, this ain't it chief. I don't know if they intended it to be a lil funny (cause you know, the main character is a comedian) but it's a mixture of horror and comedy, as well as romance and action. I know, a lot of conflicting genre to this movie. But that's how it is.The concept is good that's why I had high expectations about this movie. Sadly, it didn't achieve it. Maybe the non-closure of the homes is the reason for it? Sure, the plot didn't say that they'll gonna "solve whatever happened to the place" cause it's definitely not a ghost hunting story but transitioning to the other scene makes it difficult to understand.
Unlike other people (i've seen other reviews) i sorta liked the ending. Maybe because it's the only part of the movie that excites me lol That's the only part that caught my attention.. well.. disregarding the weird vfx from the incense (it was cool at first but doing it repeatedly is a lil cringey and doesn't really match up with the horror vibes.. but THEN AGAIN i don't know what genre this is categorized on) It reminds me of a Korean drama called "Sell Your Haunted House". ESPECIALLY the real estate agent? oof- (Yes, that one is a ghost hunting story and IT'S VERY GOOD– okay i'm not here to review that. I'm here to review Stigmatized Property. Let's go back –)
The acting is okay. Some people find the lead actress' acting obnoxious but it's an -eh- for me. Kame's okay. The rest is an -eh- too.
All in all, It's an okay movie. I don't really expect nor wish to have a remake cause it's an open-ended storyline. There's no proper ending for this so there's not gonna be an organized plot for it.
