Haven't watched this yet since it just came out in the theaters in Taiwan, but from what i've heard it's top notch and even topped the box office surpassing every other movie for 2020 (in Taiwan). Friends with feelings for each other that go beyond the friend line. This and I told sunset about are the highest rated bl/lgbtq/coming of age dramas, put this on your plan to watch list cause it won't disappoint + it might be the only one that can compete with I told sunset about you since it set the bar so high. Top bls/coming of age of the year don't miss out.
With one of the male lead is proudly gay and the other one is going through the journey of self-acceptance, the series doesn't shy away from sexual attraction towards a person of same-sex. These series stand apart from the contemporary Boy's Love series tend to ignore the sexual orientation of the characters, by using the "I am not gay, I am just in love with you".

Watch either of these two when you're emotionally prepped to take a break from the light, cute, fluffy and low stakes dramas. Both are heavy, mature and deep with poignant themes that'll have you deep in thought all night long.
They aren’t exactly similar but the yearning ‘to be together but unable to’ is very similar in both shows, added with the natural chemistry and great acting. ITSAY is definitely a much more intense watch but I feel those who truly appreciated it will appreciate Bad Buddy as well!
-Both are childhood acquaintances
- both have a hate-relationship because they started competing with each other as kids.
-main character is in love with someone else at first
-rivals to lovers

Trust me, you'll like it
the cinematography, both are very artsy. Both value the visual medium and choose "to show" more often than "to tell"

HCTM is an underrated drama. It has a great body of actors who deliver a great performance and story. If you are looking for a story that relies on character development and doesn't rely on gimmicks and silly tropes, then you won't regret watching this.
It's more on the realistic side of homosexual relationship. Both great in giving tension and bringing the perfect atmosphere!!
Both take place in unique but beautiful locations, and they both have couples with a very authentic and passionate type of love.
Both are thai bl but more imprtantly they both are like beautiful slice of life , deep sad but still full of hope
Continuation of Teh and Oh-aew's love story from season 1 of I Told Sunset About You (BKPP The Series)
The aesthetic and vibe of these two shows are quite similar, because they have the same directors. Both shows have really good representation of teenage relationships and have a great way of portraying how the characters feel. The acting is FAB.
