Promising story, horrible conclusion - UGH
DDSSLLS was solidly enjoyable in the beginning. Ra Ra was a bit of an airhead compared to my usual tastes in FMCs, but she was innocent and wasn't malicious at all. Her struggles were cliched, but believable - a fallen heiress having to adjust to life without. But who picked Ra Ra's wardrobe? It was okay *sometimes*, but most of the time, it was AWFUL. I know that name-brand expensive clothing can be pretty ridiculous, but this is crazy. Just WHY? *shakes head*ANYways, the side characters were also entertaining. I generally liked all of the side characters and their stories, but my favorite was Jun.
Jun was precious and a classic tsundere and I loved him 100%. My fierce adoration for him is why I'm pretty upset with how his story turned out. I was surprised by the initial plot twist in (I think) episode 6, but recovered quickly because the plot twist didn't destroy who he was. But once Jun's big secret was revealed, I wasn't a fan of how they wrote his story around his tiger mom. And THEN they wrote his "tragedy" into the finale and I just couldn't stomach all the flaws in their story writing anymore. How is it possible that this is the same screenwriter from Shopping King Louie?! (Though, not to go off onto a complete tangent, but Terius Behind Me flopped too sooooo. >.< )
I'm not sure why the writers felt the need to go in the direction they did in the last 6 or so episodes, but it didn't make me happy or satisfy me at all. Just because they "overcome" tragedy doesn't mean that their story all of a sudden becomes more endearing (this could apply to more than 1 character/set of characters). *sigh* And then the time jump in the end before the "epilogue" was such a cop out (so many products in entertainment do this and ugh it's annoying). *roll eyes* Write a strong ending/conclusion instead of a forced "happily-ever-after" after destroying the story with garbage tragedy and plot inconsistencies and fallacies.
I wouldn't recommend this drama. The beginning seems like it'll be a fluffy, sweet, drama, but it's really not worth it, even if the majority of the drama is light and fun. The conclusion to this drama really brought down this story.

Starts well, ends in a wreck (writing wreck)
I'm giving a 7 star because the bastard made everyone think he died for 5 years straight. What was the reason?! I'll never understand it and I'm a bit disappointed scriptwriters resorted to a miscommunication trope where the ML doesn't explain anything and breaks up with FL because of an illness. Up until the tropefest from ep 12 and on, the drama was enjoyable. The earlier scenes and interactions between FL and ML and very sweet and I loved watching them support and trust each other. Initially, I thought I was going to finish watching feeling refreshed from a nice watch without frustrations and with a nice memory of this drama. Unfortunately, I finished feeling wistful for the first part of the drama when the drama wasn't a tropefest and trying to be like every other drama.

Luckily 1 of my Drama-Guru told me that its worth the watch so i give it a try... in deed its really worth it...
The Story is about Parent's Love, Sacrifices & Friendship... Also, how a positive attitude can bring good vibes to the people around U... The FL really did a good job on her character... bubble & positive person & the ML who is in love with the FL & will do everything for her...
The OST is also good... Just prepare towel or box of Tissue on the last 2 episodes...

Bruh Why
When I started this series it was soo good everything was cute and interesting then in the middle of the series everything gets confusing and weird like there's so many parts in the series that could've been left out and to have Jun die for like 5 years just to have him come walking in Lala Land like nothing ruined it all,I srsly ugly cried when Jun does for like 20 min just to find out he was alive, I have no idea what the writers were doing but they were just going overboard with things at the endIn reality it was the writing of the ending episodes that really sucked but everything else in this series was really good like the acting, actors, music and the story at the beginning
If I'm going to be honest I don't hate this show I really enjoyed it except the end so I would lowkey watch it again but maybe just the first half but idk I usually don't rewatch things overrall this gets a 7/10

Do do Sol sol La La Sol .....Soup For the Soul
This drama has one of the most enigmatic title that I have ever come across. "Do do Sol Sol La La Sol"....... I danced around this title for a while, not sure if I should or should not attempt it. I finally went for it! Surprisingly, I did not fast forward and watched every single episode.I found this drama a truly entertaining 16 episodes watch. It was appealing to me at all levels of romance, relationships, mature love, family, friendship which warms the heart. It reminded me of the book "Chicken Soup for The Soul" which consisted of inspirational true stories of ordinary people. The love story in Do Do Sol, is in it's own special way really inspirational and encouraging too.
Furthermore, everyone in the drama made it feel like each of the roles were specially written for them. No one else could have done a better job with special mention to Lee Jae Wook (lead role Joon Sunwoo) and Kim Joo Hun (Surgeon friend Eun Seok) who were so naturally impressive.
Enjoy the drama with no high expectations. This way, you will appreciate it a whole lot more.
Cheers! K-drama forever!

No no no do not watch this
Sorry this was adorable until the last two episodes. Do yourself a favor and don't invest your time because the ending was terrible.Spoilers below
As for the ending, I think she died and that terrible contrived explanation of his being away was what she saw in her moment of death. That makes a hell of a lot more sense than his lying to all of them about his death for 5 years. I mean, they didn't even do the “I was in a coma and my mom was evil and wanted to be sure Ra Ra would move on so she lied about me dying.” trope. At least that would have been more believable.

First Loves and all that
I have loved Lee JaeWook ever since I watched him in WWW and Extraordinary you. So when I found out that he has a new drama, I was quick to jump into it. I loved it! The story is fluffy and sweet (while getting a bit dark at times). I must admit that the last few episodes felt a bit disconnected from the entire story especially with the whole leukemia scene. I just went no when that scene dropped. I don't mean like oh no, he got leukemia but more like oh no, I can't believe that the writers are pulling this stunt. It just seemed unfair to put the audience through that especially since they must have known how much the viewers were rooting for them. But overall, yes I would watch it again because I just can't get the first scene of them meeting out of my head - the way Jun just stares at Lala like they are in entirely different worlds. Was this review helpful to you?
Started out fine, charming characters and was entertaining, but turned into an absolute sh*t show
I have never written a review before, but the ending was so stupid that I had to warn someone. The first 12 episodes are good, the rest are complete garbage. And there are still useless plot points that don't go anywhere in the first 12 episodes, but the characters are very enjoyable so you shrug it off. But it becomes intolerable after that.
Pointless drama. No communication. Added character out of nowhere with cliché plot. The DUMBEST ending of all time that is an absolute insult to viewer's intelligence. The writers need to lay off the crack. Nothing about what happened those last 2 episodes was excusable.

Funny fluffy family romance drama w/a twisted plot near the end (the dying kind!)...
Highlights:1. The casts & actings r top notch!
Main leads’ chemistry is good, the sidekick friends that became a couple r so loyal n hilarious, the women’s club r funny n entertaining, there were no real villains (just unbearable rich parents and a stalker who is also a murderer, though he is in only in the drama for a short time), no real 2nd lead (the doctor likes her, but she never sees him more than just a nice guy, plus he isn’t a bad person so not annoying)... every side character got their small part n all r executed nicely... the dog Mimi is so cute! Basically the people in Eunpo is one big happy family, luvin that small town people vibe...
2. The plot
It started off so good! The fluffy funny family drama with some romance n lots of type of relationships... I was hooked from the first episode, especially after Jun-aaa came into the picture... Anyone would want a Jun in their lives... just the way Jun has always been there for Rara is just so cute! All those part time jobs he had to do just so he can lend her money... I admit I was annoyed by Rara at first, she was such a spoiled brat who can’t do anything! She takes Jun for granted... But along the way u sees her best side, not that useless side, n I like her character gradually...
Things I’m not a fan of:
1. Also the plot, especially the twisted plot near the end of the drama
10eps in n I was kinda surprised by the lie that Jun told, he is a highschooler! I really didn’t expect that kind of twist, but that is still kinda acceptable, it explains Jun’s behavior a lot... not actually a fan of noona type of romance, but this one is ok coz the age gap doesn’t show that much visually...
after that, things kinda went up n down, all the unnecessary separations, the on and off again, “the I let u go for ur own good” kinda plot, done by both main leads... I thought this would be a light drama but suddenly the main lead is dying! I cried a lot the last 2eps... then the half of the last eps is just WHAT??? How can u not tell someone u luv that u actually hasn’t been dead for the last 5years! And IMO isn’t it weird for Rara to not ask where Jun was buried? If someone u luv dies, u’ll for sure wanna know where his resting place is n at least visit it one time right? Plus Jun is the son of the rich family, if he dies, his death would be a big news that’s not hard to look up online don’t u think?
2. Too much repeated flashbacks IMO...
Overall this is still an enjoyable drama up to the last eps when Jun supposedly dies n not reaching out to Rara for the whole 5years! I don’t know if I’d forgive him that easily... the so called “forging ur death so ur loved one could get over u quickly” plot never works out for me... especially when u suddenly come back and not even explaining urself well n just expect her to be ok with it just becoz u survive a deadly disease... I wish they give it a better ending... at least after that give them a nice wedding with the whole family... I’m still relieved it’s a happy ending though...

i'm so confused
So i loved the story up until ep.14, but then the writers decide to mess up a perfectly good love story, a happy ending in the making.No. Instead they crush our souls and give him cancer, what the ...
But still, i had hope. I figured, noooo he's not gonna die, they wouldn't do that. But there it was. his grieving mom comes to give back her tea cup. Really???
At this point i' m bawling my eyes out, mad at the writers for this kind of ending.
Nearly ready to turn of the tv and end this series, there is a flashback to where Jun enters the room while Rara plays piano.
And I think 'Oh Great another flashback, rub salt in the wound'
But then apparently he wasn't dead? What?
As Bella would say "These mood swings are giving me a whiplash"
Loved it up to ep.14, it just crashed and burned from there

the story is worth watching just for the amazing visuals provided by Lee Jae Wook. Wink*
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is a romantic comedy, something u just sit back and watch in peace. It will lift up your mood kinda drama. You won't be seeing a strong female lead that goes around kicking butts kind, but a different type of strong female lead. This drama is fun and easy to watch. At first, the female character can be annoying but Go Ah Ra did a wonderful job of portraying it so I can't end up but liking the naive and clueless Ra Ra. from the outside it looks like the girl is practically mooching off from the guy, but i kind of like how the guy just practically buy her things whether she ask them for or not. He buys her stuff just because he feels like buying them for her and it makes him happy.
the story is worth watching just for the amazing visuals provided by Lee Jae Wook. Wink*
Also, I should say "I have leukaemia" is an outdated cliche plotline. apart from the confusing ending( i was crying buckets), I think I'll probably be rewatching it. =).

This show was so close to being amazing....
This show was so good. The story, acting, and music were all really good. I loved it so much......UNTIL THE END. The whole story Jun made up was honestly terrible. There were so many better lies he could have come up with...or he could've TOLD THE TRUTH. He probably caused so much pain for all of them, especially Ra-ra. I feel like the directors/writers could've written that part of the story better. That's the only reason why I can't give this show a 10....but other than that, I definitely recommend it. I love that it's a happy ending as well. Was this review helpful to you?
