A naive high school girl, Satsuki's life changes drastically when her family is sought after by some creditors. In order to repay the loan, she is being pushed to become an innkeeper at a well-established ryokan. However, life down there is not much better. She finds herself in the midst of the competitive maneuvering between the grand innkeeper and her daughter-in-law who seeks to take over.
