Not Good Enough
Korean Drama " The Spies who loved me " sounds a bit like the American movie, and has more interesting aspects, but it's messy and doesn't serve the plot well. The drama juggles two themes: the mysterious case of the leading lady's best friend, and the game of temptation and lies between the two ex spouses and the two current spouses. For the mystery, it was okay, enough thrilling to keep things interesting, and with plenty of action and players. The bromance helped here as well, adding humor to the plot. However, the leading lady turning out to be a super spy was a bit off and sudden. As for the romance, it was odd because of the pacing. The drama went back and forth on whom it supported as the love interest. For once, it made it clear that the leading lady was still not over her ex and that it was possible for them to get back together, when, at the same time, it promoted the current husband as the perfect man for her, a man who loved her more than her ex. And, finally, they did the complete messed up thing of confusing their characters even more with that ending.
Other than that, the performances were great and the action scenes well orchestrated. But, the drama got boring at times, especially towards the ending.
So, overall, 4.5 out of 10.

The Spies Who Lied To Me
Although its earlier parts were better than the rest but the initial set up needed more time and thoughts to be put into it. They wanted to kick start the premise quickly but they rushed things along the way which made later parts to drag instead of having a better investment at the start. The first 5-6 episodes kept you interested and had a good amount of intrigue but things slowed down significantly after that and it began to lose its attraction even when Derek began to be involved in the story heavily. They had a lot of elements lined up perfectly to create something good but never committed to one theme. Derek was an interesting addition to the dynamic but his character was never consistent, his character was forcefully bent 3-4 times to fit whatever narrative the writer wanted to steer the story towards. This also affected how the triangle played out. Again, they had a lot of time to better allocate and divide the runtime to make it more natural. There were a few attempts where the drama tried to get preachy and profound with dialogue and inner-monologue but once you zoom out it turned out to be condescending nonsense. I would say the drama was partially fun but not all the way.Was this review helpful to you?

Great premise but not so great execution
Show has a premise that was interesting but just not executed to its full potential and leaves much to be desired.First few episodes were good and seemed to go in a good direction but about halfway through just seems like they didn't where to go with it.
Ji joon and Ah Reum were OK characters nothing special but Out of the three Main leads Derek was the more intriguing prospect and had a interesting story to tell but to bad its never really explored, it could have been more fleshed out with more screen time and perhaps could have been the lead 1. They way the basically just wrote him off at the end just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Acting all around was solid.
Besides Derek there was really no character that was interesting and supporting characters that were memorable other than doo bong , there were none.
Ending last 2 episode felt like a different story sprouted out of nowhere as if the writers had no idea how to end the show and just threw darts at some post-it notes with some possibilities and just ran with whatever they hit.
I feel I like if the show had a more serious tone and less comedy would have worked a lot better but end the end we got what we got, a story with potential but left the audience to wonder what could've have been.

Great until the final 2 episodes
I really enjoyed watching this show, and i though the husband and wife were so lovely together, obvi they had so many issues but they really loved each other. I just hate how the entire plot was comptely ruined by the last 2 episodes. I feel so disappointed and empty by the end, and cried so much over it.If I ignore that part of it, the show was good, and it kept me on the edge. I particularly loved the actor who played Derek, and the story of how they met was so cute.

Rhythm, action, humor... A pleasure!
Super series Spy-Rom with Eric Mun & Yoo In NaPLOT: 1 Interpol agent (who has always hidden his profession) meets his ex-wife (the FL) during a case. She remarried the "perfect husband", a diplomat (but who also practices industrial espionage). The FL will find herself involved in the fight at her friend's wedding.
+++ Duo of great actors (beautiful, talented, subtle, with real chemistry). The ML2 (husband of the FL) is excellent. As his role as "perfect husband" requires, he is attentive, but his relationship with the FL is more formal than warm.
+++ Effective production, with a good mix of action, humor, emotion and romance.
+++ Excellent overall cast
+++ Excellent OSTs, very suitable for the scenes.
=> entertaining, intelligent and beautifully performed series.

Fica aí a dúvida no ar...
