Everyone in Manyang and Munju seems to be mixing lies with the truth, and trust with suspicions. Dong Sik and Ju Won tenaciously carry out their investigation, putting pressure on the suspects. Meanwhile, Jeong Je begins to lose his grasp on things as memories of the past continue to haunt him. (Source: Viu)
They are not disappointing me, always giving me more surprises, living to my expectations. The scene between the 2 friends was really moving, Dong Shik screaming and pushing his friend Jeong Je so he could remember killing Yu Yeon, and when you ask yourself, what is happening next, they are 4 episodes left, 4 episodes just to prove that he killed Yu Yeon, and JL killed Sang Bae and Jin Mook, too long. They answer me with the last part, I’m really happy that I’m watching this now and not when it was airing, because I don’t think I could really wait, they always end with a confession!!It was Han Ju Won’s father who killed Yu Yeon, and Jeong Je just run over her body. That explains the forensics result, she was run over multiple times, and that’s why her bones were crushed that way.Hell what would they do now, Han was just promoted to the most powerful man in the police force!!!
this is so fun. not a single kernel of information or scene in this show is wasted. did not see the end coming but of course, every person in this town during 2000 was involved in the murder and cover-up except the literal young person they framed and blamed. dong shik stay strong
THis epidsode was just truly insane with all the new charcter links we got confirmed and obviously the plottwist at the end. I Think one could see Jeong Je running the "deer" over coming for a while now but then having it happen in a completely diferent way than suspected..this show really pulled it off amazingly. I'm super excited for the family drama that is yet to come, especially with an even more powerful player in this game now (as in that we now have confirmation thta he is responsible foe Yuyeons's death but also that he litterally got more powerful this episode).
I STARTED TO TRUST YOU, HAN GI HWAN SSI.... WHY?? WHY???? omg these plottwists keep coming and coming I am both loving this and hating it hahahah. its amazing but they keep sending down the wrong path.... anyways, 10/10 as always
It’s unbelievable how many people are involved in Yoo Yeons case. It’s also shocking how many bad things Yoo Yeon went through that night. Gosh bad luck on its peak here. While I feel sad for Yoo Yeon and Ding Shik (I really wonder how he didn’t became completely nuts by this point), I‘m excited to find out who else is involved in this, probably in hiding evidence and hiding the corpse. And also I love how at the beginning of the drama they established Joo Wons father as a suspicious character that maybe involved in Xoo Yeons case but throughout the drama we were derailed from this thought by him acting genuinely surprised about the corruption in the case and also by him being so calm and trying to find out more about the case, so I began to think he might actually have nothing to do with her but here we go with this awesome twist.
With the overall dynamics between the characters lightening up and becoming much better, it really started to feel good watching the episodes. Because it was hard watching Juwon continue being treated as an outsider when he just wanted to investigate the truth.
Even when the team still facing many lies and deceit mixed with truth by people who wanted to cover up the truth about Yuyeon's death, it felt a bit more bearable now that Juwon don't really have to struggle alone by himself.
Episode 12 built upon 8's perfect climactic impact for an ever-bigger emotional bludgeoning
You KNOW a show is phenomenally carried out when you guessed the core of it right from the very get go (I did, at least) yet they manage to keep it incredibly suspenseful and full of dreadful uncertainty the whole time, dragging viewers through the turmoil right there alongside the characters! They say things like marriages are the truly special shining moments of a lifetime, but Shin Ha Kyun and Choi Dae Hoon, wow, this show and particularly this episode are brilliant testimonies to their skills. While Shin Ha Kyun's fantastic skill has been evident from the get go, Choi Dae Hoon (Jeong Je) was given a character that was (intentionally) awkward, strange, and a bit tough to relate to or truly connect with/empathize with, but this episode just emotionally soared... their chemistry together made that sledgehammer slam into my chest. I've liked some other performances by both, sure, but this one tops them all in terms of impact, even if the incredible impact is a bit like being smashed by a car as his memories finally come back, clear-but-not, terrifying, horrifying-I fully felt his brain trying to repress the memory this episode; the others built up to it slowly, methodically, and in a way that was unbalanced and as a resulting unnerving. Beautiful performance-the car crash you can't look away from, personified, an emotional interpersonal version of the white truck of doom hitting both of them and ricocheting off me in turn. Part of me was, even though I know the result, mentally begging Yu Yeon to call 112 with that cell phone! Just when I thought episode 8 was the climax (and it was one, for sure, but...) this hit me like a ton of bricks-all my hard heavy concrete-busting kinds of language in this post, definitely the highest concentration of such language in my disqus world, really are an exact depiction of how I felt the whole episode. This is what I imagine to be the emotional equivalent to a really agonizing migraine. Who knew my heart could feel like my head when the neurotransmitters flooded my system?
