Ainu Mosir (2020)

Both movies are the work of the same filmmaker that uses the beauty of wonderful forest and rural scenery, as well as Japanese folklore tradition and rituals, to tell the story of a marginalized community.

If you liked the beautiful cinematography of The Village and the conflict of ancient tradition with modernity, Ainu Mosir offers a more gentle approach with excellent execution.

Both films talk about the moral dilemma of killing a cub bear. In Ainu Mosir is because it's needed for Ainu's ancestral rites.
