This drama was like a poem!
I usually don't drop reviews of the dramas I watch, I just watch them silently and keep my feelings for me. This time, though, I feel like sharing.Since the first episode this drama was so peaceful, the cinematography is excellent, which is something I love about tv series.
The story of our two main-leads is so sweet, especially when they first met. Multiple times I felt butterflies in my stomach for them and while they were slowly falling in love I was also falling in love with them..
Good job to everyone involved honestly. And the actors were so good at sign language, too, which must not have been easy. The actors were really good in general and when the main leads were watching each other they were expressing themselves so good through their eyes ❤️.
I am sad I finished watching it already. I definitely recommend it. It's a quiet, peaceful, feel-good romance drama (of course with a happy ending for who's wondering).
Enjoy watching it, it's worth it!
P.S. everyone has such a nice smile in this drama lol, even the supporting characters ? it was nice to see

I cried. I laughed. I smiled. I enjoyed. And I fell in love.
This drama is absolutly wow. Like there is so much to say about this drama yet ther are no words found to describe this drama, because of how good it is. I would 100% recomend this drama to anyone. This drama was amaizing. From the start to the beggining to the end everything was soo pretty and so touching . (i even cried because of how pretty it was)The storyline is so good, the actors behind the characters are also soo good.
I especially liked the message that was delivered in the drama. And i will definetly rewatch it.
And thanks to the drama i learned korean sign language.
The only thing stoping me from giving this drama a 10/ 10 is that there was no hug or intimacy at the end of the show.

PLOT: meeting in Jeju between a deaf painter (and introverted due to his disability and trauma) and an aspiring actress.
What I liked:
+ Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Been are awesome in this series. Their characters are difficult, marked by their childhood, their traumas. They were able to highlight their hesitations, their difficulties in communicating, their lack of confidence. So many emotions pass through the looks and their micro expressions!
+ the pace of narration is slow, but fits masterfully with the story.
+ All the actors are excellent, including in the supporting roles. The secondary characters are well developed (at least those who contribute to the story, because there is no unnecessary development). They are complex, with depth.
+ The images are beautiful and the framing is finely crafted.
+ Beautiful OST lineup that heightens emotional moments. My Personal favorites are "Try Not To Cry" by 10cm and "Greeting".
What I liked less:
- The vision of disability! OK, I know that it can be hard sometimes, that there are many constraints and difficulties to overcome. But why see disabled people as sad, even depressed people? I know many people with disabilities, and some are the most optimistic, strongest people I have ever met.
Jin Woo seems to carry all the misery in the world on his shoulders... Fortunately, there are the students, the couple of friends, who show that you can be disabled AND happy!
- By watching dramas, I'm starting to hate these (recurring) characters of exes who come back years after a break-up, trying to rekindle their lost love
I'm sorry, but in real life, that doesn't exist! An ex who comes back to see me after 10 years of no contact, I don't even know if I open my door to him. Longing for a lost love for a lifetime only exists in movies (and dramas :).
- In the same way, I know that the standards of dramas (almost) impose a break-up of the CL, BUT the doubts of the FL from the 12-13 episodes are not credible here. Her empathy, her understanding suddenly disappear? Why? She doubts, so she is no longer able to think?
=> Despite some flaws, this series is a little gem, worth watching and rewatching one day.

What I liked:
+ Beautiful OST lineup that heightens emotional moments. My Personal favorites are "Try Not To Cry" by 10cm and "Greeting".
What I liked less:

Great work!
I so enjoyed this drama and had a hard time breaking away after hours of watching. The actor Jung Woo Sung did such an excellent performance. It must have been very difficult to not speak a word through out and still perform and convey the message thru his acting. Shin Hyun Been also did such a great job. The storyline definitely gives an insight on what a deaf person goes thru. There were things in the drama that I never put a thought to it when I run into a deaf person. It is heartbreaking to see what the character, Cha Jin Woo went thru starting at such a young age. Puts a totally different awareness when someone is deaf. Thanks to the writer for putting out such a great story. On another note, I love seeing the "behind the scenes" for dramas/movies because it gives me a realistic view on the actors and the extremely hard work that goes into producing such excellent entertainment. Thanks to the actors and all that worked on this project. I am a huge fan of Kdramas and watch them daily. Was this review helpful to you?
Best melodrama!!!
I re-watched this drama so many times. It portrays the subtle love between two mature human beings. The chemistry between ML and FL are super amazing that for the whole drama didn't even think they are acting. I cried hard for their break-up scene, luckily they gave me the happy ending - so I satisfied. Was this review helpful to you?

The story unfolds very slowly and can be boring
Watching this drama, you need to sip your wine slowly, enjoy the background music and observe the hand gestures. The conversations were largely silent. I saw a man, given away to an orphanage as a child, who lived a lonely life, steered away from people and relationships. A kind and sweet woman, struggling as an actress, opened her heart to him, and he reluctantly accepted her feelings. His ex-girl friend returned, hoping to rekindle their relationship. Their relationship then seemed perfect and unbreakable, but their affair broke after a fire accident. He lived a broken life until FL appeared. Likewise, FL's childhood friend decided to pursue her. a quadruple relationship is formed.
The deaf students introduced another aspect of him as art teacher and mentor. He saw in them, his own struggles growing up as a deaf child. He was generous with money and time to help people and his orphanage. I never knew a deaf person is allowed to own and drive a car.
He has established a good career as an artist that give good income and comfort. Yet, her family were sad and objected to their relationship. Her mother cried after learning her boyfriend was deaf. Doubts seeped in her, FL feared she won't be able to endure a relationship with a deaf person.

DOWNHILL WITH EACH EPISODE !!
I started watching the drama when I discovered this was a healing one. I liked 3 eps and then idk why the story became repetitive and stucked in a loop. Both of the leads were great at acting but the story sucked after the 4th ep.
Listen i respect all the people who've had impaired hearing and aren't able to live a fulfilled life but IT FRUSTRATES ME TO THE NEXT LEVEL TO SEE THE MALE LEAD NOT ABLE TO TALK AND EXPRESS.
We are core Kdrama watchers and I've been into this since 2016 & I know how imp it is for the leads to open up the romantic cheesy cute scenes at the right time. I loved how good the ML is with the sign language but he just never makes efforts to reach FL. The female character seems obsessed and trying way to hard to keep him connected in some or the other way to her but that doesn't work.
The ML always has this habit of thinking that the FL should date a normal guy and he ain't good enough for her so bro pls don't waste her time & GO TELL HER STRAIGHT UP THAT SHE DESERVES BETTER !!!
YOU KNOW IT'S HARD TO EVEN IMAGINE A COUPLE WHERE BOTH ARE STRUGGLING AND THEY JUST HAVE LIKE NOTHING TO TALK OVER. THE STORY IS FULL OF TRAUMAS THAT THE GUY WENT THROUGH. I just checked out their actual age and the FL is 37 while the ML is 50 WTF
THIS STORY COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THE FL WAS ALSO SHOWN DEAF/IMPAIRED. I feel like they could have been paired up better.
Ep 5 I started literally skipping almost all parts just for the sake of finishing this ep.
THE BEST SCENES ARE THE ONE WITH THE FL's best friend and her brother. They're so cute and comedy to even begin with. I wish they could have covered even more scenes of them.

Started were mature then turn into same triangle drama
i was interested when i watched first Episode so i continue but then comes the 5th episode and it become same drama with all otherwe until end will not find the reason this woman seem obsessed with a mute dumb man he don't even look that handsome to be obsessed over him. he isn't Hyun bin
why would SFL be in love with a man who doesn't even save her life and left her to die, normally people hate that person but in KDRAMA world even ML left SFL to die she still shows how obsessed she is with that heartless selfish shit,
i loved 4 episodes of this show to with i am giving 6.5 rating and dropping this show,
after watching ep 5 there was no need of SFL in this and it could have been a healing drama of 8 episodes
but since they have to make it longer so it can earn more advertisement money they introduce a SFL who will be so cunning still pitiful because this NICE jerk left her to die.
people pretending to be nice and kind are worst then those who act indifferent

As palavras impecáveis roteirista Kim Min Jung (Love in Moonlight) junto com a direção acertada do Kim Yoon Jin (Our Beloved Summer) e as atuações sensíveis do Jung Woo Sung e Shin Hyun Benn, foi a mistura essencial para tornar "Tell Me That You Love" o drama perfeito.
Agora vou atrás do original japonês de 1995 chamado "Aishiteiru To Ittekure". Será que é tão bom quanto a versão coreana?
