Plot - too long winded.
POV - Whole 12 episodes talk about what? Family? Boring. If I want to watch a family series, this show is recommended. If I wanted to watch a BL show, sorry, I don't recommend this. Entirely disappointing...

A series that will make your heart beating again.
This series will make your heart think of ''Someone'' who is always in your heart, a story of love, friendship, and confusion. A time of youth that is bright and full of life. Their love and friendship will make a lifeless heart feel alive again. uninteresting story
Absurdly boring story, the worst bl I've seen this year without a doubt, all the scenes are absurdly boring, the countless scenes of them at school, in a setting where nothing was happening, uninteresting dialogues that went far from a romance that is expected in a BL work, the actors without any chemistry, people always shouted slow burn, now there are countless slower stories that go somewhere. And those scenes with the teachers? who cared?Was this review helpful to you?
honestly…
Although it might not be for everyone… a high school, coming of age, love story that is pretty slow-burn at that, it’s still hella good in many other ways. The slow burn makes sense as the character starts off having bad impressions of e/o esp after finding out their parent are dating so naturally it will take a bit to accept that and have a better relationship but they did it and it turned out great! The scenes feel very realistic and genuine. The small but cute gestures will have you squealing already despite the fact it’s so minuscule. The cast is also lovely in my opinion even though many people, especially the novel enthusiasts, wasn’t the a big fan of it because that’s not how they expected the characters to look like. But i think the all the actors aced this! You can tell they really tried and it’s not some half- assed bs. Overall, I love this so far and would rewatch again for sure. Looking forward to the next 2 episodes!(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))

Must watch and rewatch
Generally high school stories are stereotype and have a similar pattern of first love and all but this story is excellent in all feild like emotions, sportsmanship and bounding between students. Main leads lacks dependency since childhood but stillp reretends very strong before others. This drama is must watch. I personally wants season 2. I personally feels that this series put it's self on the same plate form with all history seasons. I really enjoy it this gave mixed emotions of sadness, love and hope-hope of being together again.Was this review helpful to you?
Season Two is a Necessity!
I adore the two leads, their overflowing chemistry and how well written their story is. Jiang Tian is such a sweet, earnest and avid protector who loves through service and deeds which is so noble and admirable; Sheng Wang is such a koala bear, I love seeing him get all clingy and I hope (when) season two comes he'll embrace his honesty more openly. I have stood by too often and seen beautiful stories disappear thinking it was inevitable but our response is what keeps these characters alive and I can no longer stand idle as such a beautiful story disappears because not enough people stood up to support it. I hope beyond hope there will be a confirmed season two so their story will be complete and they get their happy ending!Was this review helpful to you?

Most realistic BL series
What I find amazing about this series is the complications of being in a boy-love-boy relationship. It's slow, yes, but it is very true to real-life experiences of gay people. Falling for a guy is not as easy as saying, 'Hey, I'm gay. Will you date me?' It's not easy; I know this all too well from personal experience. I had unrequited love for a presumably 'straight' guy for nearly six years before I gave up, but the feelings still linger. It would have been easier if he had just said he's straight or whatever, but it's hard when you both know you have feelings yet can't come forward with them. We have to take into account that it was 2012 when it was probably not as acceptable, and it was in an Asian country. The feelings Jiang Tian had for Sheng Wang are very real, yet Sheng Wang, in the end, couldn't understand or accept them because Tian is his brother. It wouldn't have mattered as much if they weren't family, but Jiang Tian got 'brotherzoned' in the end. Sheng Wang, confused with his feelings, most likely decided to fail his exam so that he could get away from Jiang Tian because he couldn't face the truth that he had fallen for a boy. And Jiang Tian being upset is way too real; when I watched that scene, I was hyperventilating because the feeling was so true for me. It's like, 'I know you like me and we like each other, but why can't you admit it? Why are you trying to run away?' That kind of stuff. Overall, this series touched my heart deeply, and I would love to see how it all works out in season 2.Was this review helpful to you?

It is about family and making hard choices in life
In the drama you see two young boys going through challenges in their life. One lost his mother and the other one always running away. But they found each other. I love the bond that they have and I love that it took time for them to really trust each other and that is life. It is not going to be as simple as looking at each other and falling in love. They grow and see how important they are to one another. The acting was phenomenal. And even though the ending made you wanting more, I think that was the point to make the International fans fight for a season 2. Which I am all for it and if you liked the drama enough you can wait for a second season. I just felt so happy, sad and angry watching this drama, which means it was amazing!. I fell in love with the actors and characters that they played and I hope that people enjoyed watching it as much as I did.Was this review helpful to you?

A wonderful journey of youth, friendship and love
Every time I watched an episode I couldn't help and remember my teen years. Everything about this series was realistic the characters, the setting, the friendships, the mistakes made when you are that age. The ups and downs you face as you grow up. We saw all this with Tian and Wang as they navigated this world to find their place and find each other. The bond that they share is way more than just romantic bond, it's a soulmate one. And no time, no place or event can break that. That's how I know these two will be fine in the future. Especially since Tian didn't lose hope that he can be with Wang again. Isn't that what love is??? having the hope and courage to face everything and anything to be with the person you love? I say yes! That felt really real to me. The On1y one was very realistic, and I think that's what made us fall in love with it. We just want these characters to get the sense of happiness because they deserve it.Tian and Wang are such well-rounded characters. The mistakes made by them reminded me of some I did at that age. Wang's mostly when he decided to cut himself off from Tian for fear of his feelings. The supporting characters were all so likable too. Who didn't have friends like those in high school? The OST fit the series so well too. Every time I heard 17, I run to You... I got goosebumps- such a beautiful song! Perfect for Tian and Wang's love story too. About that I saw someone say that this series is more than just romance and it is. It's life. I think that's why it resonated so well with me. Although the ending wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, I understood why it was done. Wang's decision as stupid as it was felt real to me. As did Tian's will not to give up. The moment he ties his bracelet back together I got the sense of the hope the director wanted us to have. I'll keep hoping The On1y one gets it's second season because the series deserves it.

High quality drama
if you are looking for a high quality bl drama, then i highly recommend the on1y one. the actors, they have high acting skills. you can feel what they feel just by looking at their eyes, even without them saying anything, you can tell what they feel. about the visual, the actors are very handsome. sheng wang and jiang tian are indeed not played by 16 or 17 year old actors, because such great emotions cannot be played by young actors. the cinematography is also very good. you can feel the emotion just by looking at some landscapes. seeing the leaves being penetrated by the wind, or the rain, or even the scorching heat, you can feel the atmosphere in it. then the drama soundtrack, my goodness why can they have such beautiful ost? i really like ricky's just lonely ost in their drama.Was this review helpful to you?
The storyline is realistic
the storyline is not rushed, and also not too slow. the story makes sense and the way they make our hearts flutter is because their scenes are not cringe. i really hate scenes with cringe seduction, too convoluted, and unreasonable. but the on1y one there is not a single scene that is cringe and convoluted. we can feel their love just from the soft gazes at each other, smiles, and small attentions. there are no forced cringe scenes, and that makes me very relieved when watching it. guys, a good drama is not always about the many nc scenes, try watching this. this drama does not need nc scenes that are too contrived, but can make viewers like me feel in love. this drama is very well done. i hope they can work on season 2 soon, because their story is not finished yetWas this review helpful to you?
