This is one of the best if not THE BEST BL of 2024

If you are looking for a drama that contains plot, talented actors, and top tier chemistry this drama is for you. If you watch it and end up dissatisfied with the lack of NC scenes or are mainly looking for those scenes.
1. They are in Highschool.
2. There are more important things to focus on than those types of scenes in this drama.
3. The story is very well fleshed out, with many lovable characters.
4. The actors are talented and you can tell how much hardwork every person that participated in this drama put in.
5. This drama actually makes you think, with some episodes giving out themes and/or foreshadowing that coincides with the rest of the episode.
Now, if you really want those spicier scenes show more support for Season 2. Rate 10 stars on this website and also IMDB, also please watch The On1y One through legal channels to show continued support. Show support on Instagram/X(Twitter). Either on the actors’ accounts or the main account of the show.

A wonderful journey of youth, friendship and love

Every time I watched an episode I couldn't help and remember my teen years. Everything about this series was realistic the characters, the setting, the friendships, the mistakes made when you are that age. The ups and downs you face as you grow up. We saw all this with Tian and Wang as they navigated this world to find their place and find each other. The bond that they share is way more than just romantic bond, it's a soulmate one. And no time, no place or event can break that. That's how I know these two will be fine in the future. Especially since Tian didn't lose hope that he can be with Wang again. Isn't that what love is??? having the hope and courage to face everything and anything to be with the person you love? I say yes! That felt really real to me. The On1y one was very realistic, and I think that's what made us fall in love with it. We just want these characters to get the sense of happiness because they deserve it.
Tian and Wang are such well-rounded characters. The mistakes made by them reminded me of some I did at that age. Wang's mostly when he decided to cut himself off from Tian for fear of his feelings. The supporting characters were all so likable too. Who didn't have friends like those in high school? The OST fit the series so well too. Every time I heard 17, I run to You... I got goosebumps- such a beautiful song! Perfect for Tian and Wang's love story too. About that I saw someone say that this series is more than just romance and it is. It's life. I think that's why it resonated so well with me. Although the ending wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, I understood why it was done. Wang's decision as stupid as it was felt real to me. As did Tian's will not to give up. The moment he ties his bracelet back together I got the sense of the hope the director wanted us to have. I'll keep hoping The On1y one gets it's second season because the series deserves it.

Need season 2 neow!!!

You need to watch this series—it's absolutely captivating! Please support it by watching on official platforms, because we need a Season 2! The story is beautifully crafted, with a pace that allows the characters and relationships to develop naturally. The connection between the main couple feels authentic and they have great chemistry.

The story is very good, I liked it a lot and I hope there will be a season 2 so it won't be hung. This is my first time reviewing everything I've watched because it's so good I want to have a season 2. I can't wait, I want season 2 right away. This is also the first time I watched a Taiwanese drama. I thought that Thai drama used to be good, but it turned out to be the best, so I hope I will like other Taiwanese dramas.

High quality drama

if you are looking for a high quality bl drama, then i highly recommend the on1y one. the actors, they have high acting skills. you can feel what they feel just by looking at their eyes, even without them saying anything, you can tell what they feel. about the visual, the actors are very handsome. sheng wang and jiang tian are indeed not played by 16 or 17 year old actors, because such great emotions cannot be played by young actors. the cinematography is also very good. you can feel the emotion just by looking at some landscapes. seeing the leaves being penetrated by the wind, or the rain, or even the scorching heat, you can feel the atmosphere in it. then the drama soundtrack, my goodness why can they have such beautiful ost? i really like ricky's just lonely ost in their drama.

The storyline is realistic

the storyline is not rushed, and also not too slow. the story makes sense and the way they make our hearts flutter is because their scenes are not cringe. i really hate scenes with cringe seduction, too convoluted, and unreasonable. but the on1y one there is not a single scene that is cringe and convoluted. we can feel their love just from the soft gazes at each other, smiles, and small attentions. there are no forced cringe scenes, and that makes me very relieved when watching it. guys, a good drama is not always about the many nc scenes, try watching this. this drama does not need nc scenes that are too contrived, but can make viewers like me feel in love. this drama is very well done. i hope they can work on season 2 soon, because their story is not finished yet

The storyline is the same as the novel

I really like the novel a certain someone. the story is very touching and soft, adorable, suspenseful, and makes me fall in love. and unexpectedly, this drama is made exactly the same as the story in the novel. Sheng wang really looks like a spoiled and precious young master, jiang tian looks really mysterious and cold. although there is an unexpected kiss scene at the beginning of the episode, but it does not ruin the overall story of the novel. the novel is quite slow, so in the drama I really enjoy their adorable story. I really need a drama to visualize Sheng wang and jiang tiang, and it turns out that Zayin and Benjamin really blend with their characters, making me touched and happy. I will wait for season 2 of them

This show made me feel emotions I didn't know I could feel in this way.

DISCLAIMER: I was told by a source and also read somewhere that a season two has already been completed (script wise) and all that's left are fan reviews in order for us to get it SO please do your job as fans and upvote as much as you can about this show so we don't have to end it in heartbreak like our last episode!!

Honestly, there's a reason people say Taiwan makes the best bls, I stand by that statement. From the acting to the plot, this cast and crew really REALLY outdid themselves. The storyline could easily be seen as cliche, however, the way the cast and crew portrays the story shines an entirely new light on that cliche completely. Episode one was full of explanations and a bit of goofiness; as time went on the show really took a serious turn and had me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I want to take this time to mention as well, Ricky Hsiao and the other musicians who made the OSTs are so talented, this show introduced me to a new musician I love and I'm forever grateful. Back to the story, at times I felt like somewhere in the plot more could've happened, nonetheless, I really have no complaints other than it being too short. The actors did an amazing job at playing their roles, their was a great balance of silliness, seriousness, tense scenes, and emotion overall. Sometimes you'll find a good show with a good plot + cast that only misses good cinematography but this show did an AMAZING job with their cinematography. I haven't cried over a show in ages and I actually shed a few tears to some scenes (And Ricky Hsiao's amazing vocals) and I'm also grateful for that. This show was definitely a breath of fresh air along with a punch to the face! Amazing job to the actors, crew, and writer of this story. I don't think I've been this obsessed with a drama in ages, keep up the fantastic work! (Not that it means much coming from a random fan somewhere, regardless)

My mind is blown and I am left wanting more

I dont usually write reviews because I'm lazy but I just had to praise what a master piece this is. If you are looking for something cute slow but also full of a shit ton of feelings then this is the show for you. Jiang Tian, the man you are. I swear the male leads got me feeling things in my stomach. All I can say is give me a season 2 right now!! For those who are wondering if this is a happy ending, its an open ending. There's more to come and with enough praying and manifestation it will definitely be worth the wait. If you are debating whether to watch it, just go for it expecting nothing. I was gonna drop this show but I always force myself to watch at least one episode and damn am I thankful lmao.

Not giving spoilers but in conclusion WATCH THE MFING SHOW CUZ ITS DAMN GOOD.

Anyways i will haunt everyone if this doesnt get a season two (this is not a threat) okay maybe it is.

Initiate Production of "The On1y One" Season 2

"The On1y One" is more than just a show. For numerous individuals amongst the LGBTQ+ community, myself included, it has solidified our identity, given us comfort in acceptance, and built a sense of belongingness. In a world often embodying heteronormativity, "The On1y One" has offered invaluable representation. It's not just a series, but a beacon of hope and a testament of progress for many.

Despite its gross viewership of over 2 million in the LGBTQ+ community alone (Source: Nielsen Ratings), the production of its 2nd season has not yet been planned, which we perceive as an incongruity. The show's influence extends beyond mere entertainment—it fosters an environment of understanding and acceptance, enabling conversations around identity and diversity.

A second season is not just for amusement but a demand for fairness and representation. Let's urge the responsible production companies to initiate works on "The On1y One" Season 2. Sign this petition, push for the change, and make our voices amplified in the call for a well-deserved second installment of a popular and much-loved series.

We need real action to make Season 2 a reality. If each person simply says, 'I want Season 2,' it won't have much impact. But if we all come together and raise our voices, it will be much louder and more powerful! Let's sign the petition for Season 2. Please sign at the petition I created on change.org
Let's make it happen, everyone!

My new favorite show

I never write reviews but I had to for this show. This show is so special to me and felt so healing. I love how much depth each character has. And how they took the time to build up their story in a realistic way. The acting is amazing , they were able to show so much without words. Another thing I really appreciated is how the class actually felt like a high school classroom with how they interacted and joked around with each other. Slow burn stories are really hard to do without it getting boring and making it feel like the plot is actually moving along but, The On1y one did it perfectly. I never felt bored and even though each progression in the plot seemed small , it also meant so much to the characters’ and stories’ growth. I really loved this story, Jiang Tian, and Sheng Wang. I would love to see their story continue in a season 2 I think it could be really beautiful.
