Cry Me A River of Stars (2021)

Similar length, historical/fantasy setting, both are Chinese dramas. The main couple's relationship grows slower. Both ML's sacrifice a lot (and their hair turns white) to save the dying FL, then leave. Both FLs eventually find them again at the end.

- Both are historical dramas that start off really happy. All the characters are really close at the start and are friends/family.
- Several episodes into the dramas all these relationships break apart and everyone starts to betray one another. The FL is unexpectedly stabbed in the back by a close friend of hers.
- In both dramas the main characters brother is behind all the death and destruction.
- Both dramas have a lot of death where several of the main characters die, especially a lot of the good guys.
- The FL in both dramas has to go through a lot of hardship, mostly because of all the men in her life. She goes from a happy and carefree teenager in love, with friends and family, to a person that loses everything and everyone at one point.
- The ML in both dramas is from a high position but doesn't hold much power compared to many of the other characters. He also falls for the FL first.
- SH has an open ending whilst CMARS has a closed, bittersweet ending.

Both are set in an alternate fantasy/historical world in which there's a race of people with powers (the FL is one of them) who are oppressed by a different race (the ML is one of them).

Both are fantasy/historical dramas with a similar vibe/feel. The FLs are cute and endearing, as well as non-human, and the MLs are in a position of power and initially seem cold.
