Easy and lighthearted watch
This drama is outright ridiculous with it seemingly throwing all the classic k-drama tropes into one, but it embraces it and makes it work. It's one of those dramas that is perfect after a long day and you just need something silly to unwind with. It helps that the cast are all beautiful and wonderful at their jobs, too. It's a very bingeable drama and I appreciate that they decided to settle on a 12-episode series so that it didn't need to unnecessarily drag on (even if there were times that I wanted to see more)! Was this review helpful to you?
Treat yourself to this sweet cheese cake
so kdramas have taken a turn in recent years to more complex storylines (horror, dark, infidelity, etc) i started to miss the cliche romance, "rich guy poor girl", and "contract marriage" type of dramas. so i was really happy to try this this drama because i haven't seen a drama with this storyline in a while. This is sweet but not cringe, the arcs aren't dragged out and there aren't many unnecessary scenes. you might need to hang on till episode 3 to get hooked but it will be such a beautiful ride. There are so many funny scenes (not cringe funny). and you will fall in love with all the characters really.
So in summary, it is not a revolutionary storyline, very predictable but done really nice with great acting . if you have missed the rich guy poor girl or contract marriage dramas, you will love this. they need to make light dramas like this once in a while the complex and dark dramas can get tiring. still hoping they will make more action romance dramas like healer

Good choice of actors | Good Chemistry
It’s your typical rom-com cliché BUT done right!!!The female characters aren’t trying to act as kids or immaturely to look cute.
The friendships chemistry between the two male leads and two female leads is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!
I started watching for the second leads but then found myself staying for the main.
Good character development from the male lead?? Well acted????
I laughed a lot and it made everything memorable.
I wouldn’t say it’s bringing something new to the table, but it definitely made cliché worth it and not cringe at all.
I would rewatch someday perhaps when i want a good laugh

The drama was aired at the right time. With all the korean dramas having heavy plot released lately, this one is like a breathe of fresh air. It's cliche but not cringey.
Even if it's predictable and the story isn't new, it's still fun to watch.
Love the actors for bringing the characters to life especially Se Jeong and In Ah, their positive energy is contagious. Hyo Seop and Min Gue are so good looking. Their characters may be annoying if they were real people but the way deliver makes them loveable.
Also love how Tae Moo easily accepted his feelings for Ha Ri
The type of drama you would rewatch whenever the others you're watching is getting too dark and heavy

Lost focus
I started out really enjoying this drama and I couldn't wait to see where the story would lead. However, somewhere along the lines I lost interest. I started finding things characters did annoying and I was over all the lying and hiding the characters were doing. One of the reasons I kept watching was because Kim Min Gue and the second lead couple. They really weren't given a proper send-off in the finale.I will say, this drama felt both too long and not long enough. We spent so much time running around the issue that it got tiresome and then the writers realised they only had 12 episodes and rushed everything in the end. It could have been better planned out. Additionally, towards the end some of the characters were acting a bit OOC, particularly the Grandpa. I mean I get he was angry, understandably so, BUT he spent the entire time wishing he would get married I would think that would make up for it. i also found him incredibly mean to Ha-ri. Idk, things could have been done better.
I guess that's all I have to say on this one... it was fun until a certain point and then it was just disappointing.

Morally questionable
I quite liked this drama at the beginning, I am a big fan of Korean drama's and this seemed to tick all the boxes. The lies didn't seem too bad at the beginning and were kinda fun but after a while they started to annoy me, what started fun soon went downhill.I am meant to like these characters and understand them, cheering for them to fall in love and have a happy ending , obviously this did not happen.
The main couple were bad enough but the other couple were worst, the FL's best friend was vile and annoying. The ML's assistant/brother who had been righteous from the beginning suddenly did something very questionable ( I would call it rape) . I have never seen anything like it in a Korean drama before, but since Kdrama's became popular in the Western market they have lowered their standards.

Trust me, I LOVE a good cliche rom-com. Unfortunately, this ain't it.
At least not for me. I guess I understand why people would be so into this drama, but I personally just can't. The CEO arrogant ML gig is far from being my cup of tea, and the entire superiority/inferiority complex between the main leads being boss and employee is way too obvious. I suppose I should've expected this much from the summary already, but still, I hoped for some differences from the usual stuff we've already seen 5 years ago in romantic comedy K-dramas like this. But there are so many tropes and cliches in this drama, that it's damn predictable and at some point, it felt like I was watching one of those Wattpad fanfictions turned into a drama. However, on the positive side, the secondary couple was admittedly the best thing about this drama. I loved their chemistry-- which I felt the main couple lacked, and I liked their characters both individually and together as well. They brought newness to a plate that's otherwise dull and has been done a 100 times before in the absolute same manner.
So, in conclusion, you could watch the secondary couple's scenes only and have some happy good thoughts about this drama OR you could put yourself through the cringe and utterly unappealing cheesiness of the main couple as well. But then again, everyone I know seemed to love this drama. I don't know, did we even watch the same thing?

jerk male lead at his finest...
based on fans' reaction (that I'm not judging), one (ie myself) would think this is the sweetest romcom, but it's so frustrating. It's just 2 incredibly robotic, cold, dense and jerk MLs that bully the FLs and order them around. One forced a marriage proposal on the 1st date, never tried to get to know the FL, then bullies her repeatedly once he finds out she lied, and the get upset she dared to not like him or "get" how he's in love with her..
DUDE, you are not 5.. "harassing someone means love" is NOT a thing.. calling a stranger at 4am cuz your ego was hurt when she randomly compared you to a dinosaur is not ok.. (1st warning)
being rich doesn't mean people need to bow down and worship the ground you walk on.. then he goes and forces her to wear the tightest dress and make fun of her when she got uncomfortable wearing it... (2nd warning)
he severely bullies her at work, even if it was cuz she "lied", talk it out you idiot.. (3rd warning)
and worst of all were eps 5 and 6 when he 1st sulks that she's "not getting his hints of love (ie the bullying). and then he scams his way into dates WITHOUT telling her they were on a date, then again he's upset that she's there for the reason he lied about (final strike, THE WORST ML around....)
oh yeah, add in when he throws her out of the car (figuratively) when it was heavily pouring rain!!!!!!!!!
how hard would it have been to park infront of her, let her comfort him, then confess...
the FL is no better.. she acts like she doesn't take anyone's nonsense but she follows his orders too much. she doesn't call him on his bs. she was "happy" when he only tied her shoes. she didn't say "no this dress in too small". she took the bullying, even though it was workplace harassment. then after he throws her in the pouring rain, she "worries" for him, and in the end forgets everything cuz he swooped in infront of her shallow friends that won't believe a handsome rich man would date her
then the 2nd couple.. the FL fell too fast then keeps getting blocked by the 2nd dense ML who now thinks "he can't love" especially a rich girl or whatever..
robotic dense MLs are not appealing..
again, how hard would it be to "express" emotions? what world are we living in? toxic masculinity that encourages men to stay quiet, harass their love interest, hope she notices him and confess 1st? and say it's "boys being boys"?
I'm sorry but I prefer my men sweet, confident in their feelings, supportive and ready to love and make the FLs feel worthy

THE CAST!!! THE CHEMISTRY! THE PACING!- a chill wholesome watch
A business Proposal is such a light-hearted, stress-free watch! I cannot think of the last time where I have laughed out loud this many times watching a drama!! yes, It's cliché and yes it's very predictable, but that just adds to the stress-free aspect of it! I have watched a handful of dramas, but I haven't come across a CAST as PERFECT as this :) not to mention the pacing of this drama; it resolves problems quickly, it's not lagged on and any misunderstandings don't tend to last more than an episode or two!If you're looking for a chill, comedic, rom-com watch, I'd deffo recommend giving this drama a shot! :)

BEST KDRAMA I HAVE SEEN SINCE A LONG TIME
HONESTLY, when watching this series, I was constantly smiling, and I had a massive grin on my face with every episode to come. That grin could not leave my face because of how good this show was.EVERY OST TO THIS SHOW WAS SO GOOD !!!
I WOULD DEFIANTLY RECOMMEND THIS DRAMA TO WATCH! THIS SERIES MADE MY MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS A LOT BETTER, AND I AM SAD THAT THE SHOW WON'T BE AIRING ANYMORE.
It is a rom-com show, and it was super funny and such a light-hearted series to watch; I can literally watch this show so many times, and I would never get tired of it. The acting was phenomenal, and all the actors portrayed the characters exactly to the manhwa. The manhwa and the show are very similar; however, it is different in their own ways.
What I loved about the series:
- Bromance
- Grandfather
- Bestfriends
- Shin Ha Ri family
- Tae moo is an excellent partner and boss. Also, his sassiness was on point
- Tae moo was so adorable
- the character development
- an overload of cuteness
- Shin Ha Ri protects Tae moo from his trauma.
- Shin Ha Ri's coworkers protecting her
- The OSTs in this drama are fantastic. I've added each one to my music collection.
Although this series portrays a lot of cliches, they really did a fanatic job of the acting not being cringy at all. Every scene was charming to watch, and I enjoyed each scene. I liked all the characters. They were very likable, except some were considered red flags. I did not enjoy Minwoo and his girlfriend. Minwoo thought of himself only and was being selfish and said that Shin Ha Ri wasn't on his level to Tae Moo; I'm glad that Tae moo defended his woman and said to him don't ever say that about my girl.
Can we talk about the two main male leads? Both of those characters are gentlemen. I loved Tae mu lines whenever it came to Shin Ha Ri. The two male leads had such a fantastic bromance. Especially the best friends as well, their girl romance was unforgettable.
Tae mu's grandfather was so adorable, and I love the parent figure he became for Tae mu. You can see how much both of them care for each other. Shin Ha Ri's father is so wonderful. When her father explained to Tae mu of his worries about his daughter, he mentioned how he felt sorry for his daughter because he couldn't support her dreams of becoming a singer. That scene got me with teary eyes. He felt so appreciated that Tae-mu was there for her when Tae mu said I would protect your daughter with every cost of my life. Shin ha ri father knew that his daughter had found the right man for her and that he could be at ease, knowing his daughter won't get hurt.
Shin Ha min, who is Shin Ha Ri's brother, I loved him so much. When he found out that his sister was dating her boss, he asked, " Why are you dating my sister? Did she blackmail you? He is so funny, and I'm glad that Choi Byung Chan portrayed his role; he acted so well as Shin Ha min.
Cha Sung Hoon and Young Seo this couple were AMAZING; they did sometimes carry the show. Their development and communication with each other were phenomenal. They communicated so well, and also, I love how they gave us both of the character's perspectives when it came to meeting each other and falling in love for the first time. We never get to see that usually; it's sometimes always one person's perspective.
Tae moo and Shin Ha Ri CHEMISTRY WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I loved when her slipper hit Tae moo's face; that was funny. They did lack in communication; however, it did get better. I was satisfied with all of their scenes. I appreciated the hug scenes very much. These two were so lovable to watch. Tae moo was such a gentleman to Shin ha ri, and he gave her the space she needed when she was still thinking about her feelings. I love how they both protected each other; Tae moo protected her at work and his family. Shin ha ri protected him at work, with family, and from his trauma. Everything about this couple was excellent.
THIS SHOW ALSO PORTRAY SOME PSYCHOLOGY IN IT; for example, when Tae moo had his panic attack, the drama showed us how he handled it.
Cons for me:
- More on-screen time for Tae moo and Shin ha ri
- more eps
This show is unique, and it does not irritate or cringe with its cliche plot; instead, it makes you more invested and interested in the series. THIS SHOW IS YOUR THERAPY, AND IT WAS DEFINITELY MY THERAPY. This drama is special to me because of how light-hearted it is; it plays with your emotions and makes you want a lot more.
I hope you enjoy this drama as much as I did. If you don't, we're not going to be friends.
Let's be friends?
I 100% RECOMMEND THIS FANTASTIC SERIES.

This is now my favourite romcom drama ever.
It's RARE that I watch a drama while it's still airing, but A Business Proposal had me hooked since the first episode. I read the webtoon and was anticipating the release of this drama, and it certainly did not disappoint. This has now cemented itself as my favourite romcom drama ever, and with good reason! My husband loves it too, and he doesn't usually watch dramas with me!1. Story
Fake dating turned secret office romance. It's tropey, sure, but the drama executed it so well! I'm not usually a fan of "fake" anything, but this was resolved very quickly and truths are revealed quite soon. In fact, a lot of the conflicts introduced within the episode are resolved by the end of the episode. Also, can we talk about how many tropes this drama subverts?? So many different tropes are introduced, but how the characters deal with them are unlike anything I've seen before. It results in so many hijinks and fun moments. This drama is so hilariously self-aware that it is refreshing to watch. EVERYTHING about this drama was refreshing to watch. I love how we get to see a very strong sismance and bromance. Ha-ri and Young-seo's friendship is so real. They're two strong, independent women who truly love and support each other. Then we have the bromance of Tae-moo and Sung-hoon. We see them act as boss/secretary, but also as two brothers who love to tease each other while still being each other's voice of reason (moreso in the case of Sung-hoon to Tae-moo, haha). And of course, the two love stories of our couples Ha-ri/Tae-moo and Young-seo/Sung-hoon are not to be discounted either! There were SO many swoon-worthy scenes that left me giggling and blushing. This drama has the TWO hottest scenes I've ever scene in a kdrama from recent memory.
2. Acting/Cast
Amazing. There was so much chemistry between all of the cast members that it almost felt voyeuristic watching the characters they play since it all felt SO REAL. It was like I was just looking on at someone's real life.
3. Music
Love the OST.
4. Rewatch Value
I mean... I kept rewatching previous episodes while waiting for the new ones to come out so I'd say rewatch value is a solid 10 out of 10! I can see myself rewatching this many more times in the future. This is the perfect drama to feel happy.
Overall, this was a wonderful drama and my new favourite. I am genuinely sad it is over. I can only hope we see the actors in more projects together. Their chemistry is unreal!!

The ideal rom-com
I just finished the 12th episode that out 2-3 hours ago and came here to write a review of “WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS ROM-COM” lol but no seriously?!Keywords:
UPLIFTING MOOD. THE IDEAL OF ROM-COM. WHOLESOME. CUTE. FUNNY. FRIENDSHIP
If you need something cute, uplifting mood drama to watch, you should def watch this.
I don’t think there is a single moment of me bored by watching the show because the show is just really entertaining, IT’S A LIGHT, HAPPY GO LUCKY ROMANCE COMEDY K-DRAMA.
Literally the ideal of romance comedy, IMO it doesn’t have any draggy scenes nor story filler. It’s compact.
The 1st half of the drama is so D*MN FUNNY, and then the 2nd half is SO CUTE AND WHOLESOME.
I love the main couple and the second lead couple. Each one of the couple have their own story and moments. Though yes, the second main couple is cute as heck.
But what I love about this drama too is the “FRIENDSHIP” between Ha-ri and Yeong-So, I wish I had that kind of friend, they’re friendship is solid, they’re always there for each other. I’m so jealous of anyone who have this kind of friendship:’)
The other side characters are entertaining to watch too, such as Tae-Mo’s grandpa and Ha-ri’s family and her teammates, and Yeong-So cousin that girl is so funny.
I find myself giggling over the their cute interactions and laughing while watching the teammates scenes.
I’m satisfied with the 12 episodes and i think it’s really ideal for any “rom-com” to go with 12 eps only.
