The couple I've waited all year for.

You're pretty smart. You probably figured out the ending, or at least the one you hoped for. If you think the beginning is a little weak, hang in there, the last half paid off and the ending was chefs kiss perfect. One of my favorites. The rare drama where a second season could work and be just as good as the first.

I said it all with the headline, but i could watch another 16 episodes where the leads reminisce about their first dates, who fell for who first...pull weeds, fold laundry and put away cabbage. And the cherry on top, the supporting cast storyline, is really, really good.

If we were friends and you didn't fall in love with this, I'd be worried about you.

Amazing & Beautiful ❤️✌️

This was something unique & I loved it ❤️ A teenage romantic drama & the romantic relation b/w the main characters was amazing, the back n forth of their relationship n it literally gave me butterfly all the way throughout the episodes. You can feel the connection with the characters throughout the series & that raw emotions & feelings they are going through. Besides, the OSTs of this series are also great & I loved it. After completing the series I hopped on to Spotify & listened to all of it's OST tracks & they all are soothing & great ❤ Also, the side characters were also portrayed in a very good way. I'll definitely recommend this & I'll give it 8/10 ?✌️

MUST WATCH !! A true youthful masterpiece depicting the concept of life in a beautiful way

Wow. Just wow. This show was indeed an experience in many ways, I had given this drama a try when it first aired, however, I gave up midway through the first episode only because I didn't think it'd interest me. One day, I was reminded of this drama when I saw the OST in stores. I thought to give it another shot and I truly fell in love with every detail of this show, every character was explored thoroughly and the romance was genuinely perfect. This might just be one of the best youthful romance dramas I've seen this year everything from the plot to the characters was flawless, I am gonna miss this drama dearly, I love how they gave insight into each character's life allowing us to understand hardships that they've faced as well as showing the concept of mistakes that have been made in the past and how the characters grew from them. It was a perfect depiction of a drama driven by its characters and that's what I love. I cannot even think of a single thing I've hated, I'm not a person who writes many reviews however due to how much I loved this I had to give it a review. I think this drama will always remain one of my favorites and I wish for many people do give this drama the recognition and love it deserves.

I'm an emotional mess

I'm not gonna lie, it took me a while to watch this drama, but i didn't wanna rush it. I wanted to savor every second and I'm glad i did.
It was amazing, i loved the peace they set, the way they keep showing you past and present, the way you slowly get to know everyone.
The cast was excellent: i cried and laughed so much!
The characters all had a personality and more or less it got represented so well!
The music was a m a z i n g: i might be biased about Christmas tree but all of the songs made for this drama where great!
I'd definitely rewatch this drama again just to cry like a bitch in the end!

Not As Slow Burn As You Might Expect

I was mislead by a lot of comments. There was really a lot about slow burn, but in actuality, there is no more slow burn than any standard rom-com Kdrama.

The template of such a drama is the work up to the 7-8th episode for the confessions, and skinship to happen... this drama fits the templete so I'm not stressed about it. I expected it to be more like a Cdrama where you almost have to wait for the last second and then they're only happy for 1/2 a day, some tragedy or fight happens, and you don't see them together for the rest of the drama until the last 15 minutes. lol. This is no where near that kind of thing.

You don't get a lot of silliness once they start to grow up, get over their mental issues, open up to others, not just themselves, and start to become more and more emotionally healthy.

Also, the comments about them being way too immature for their age and that this was boring had the point of this drama go right over their heads. That WAS the point of the drama, hahaha. It is a testament on varying mental issues, how parents can make or break that, and set up their kids for success or failure despite their circumstances and how that affects your other interpersonal relationships, be they work related, friendships, or extended family. You can watch the entire Johnny Depp v Amber Heard trial to understand what this means. And this couple aren't anywhere near having the mental issues those two have, and he's in his 50s... So, yeah, the way things transpire in childhood has a serious affect on how you handle life in adulthood. If a rom-com based on this is boring to you, than avoid those topics.

As to how the drama handled the subject matter, for the most part, it was quaint and relatable. There were moments of cliche that made me sad they couldn't have made fresher interpersonal issues. The idea you actually need a 'degree' to grow creatively etc is too antiquated. It discounts folks like Steve Jobs et al. There's no One Size Fits All to maturity, growth, & creativity... but the Korean mindset just hasn't grasp that idea yet, it seems. I thought with Ung they almost got there, but they fell short in the end by doing him a bit dirty.

I wasn't really a fan of the forward backward then forward again flashes in time to tell the story. They used it to slowly unfold the truths behind each character. It was okay and effective at times. In others, it felt like they were trying to play you with forced "Ah,, ha" moments. After a while, it was a bit irritating.

So, weighing the pros and cons of this drama, I still think this is an above avg Kdrama, worth a solid watch.

An expected review

I have wanted to watch this k-drama because it featured two of my favourite actors and I am happy I finally did it. At first, I thought it was going to be a simple and relaxing love story but how wrong I was, it was so much more complex and touching. Full of emotions it touched on topics such as youth, growing up, changing, love, friends, family, loneliness, trusting and abandoning issues and even not as clear depression. I am not gonna lie sometimes it was overwhelming but the way they made it so realistic and relatable for any class age was one of the reasons that made me like this k-drama so much. Another reason was the action was so raw and beautiful again made me love the drama all the characters had a purpose to represent something in my view even if it was only for comedic relief, the plot was interesting and how everything got wrapped up was so satisfying. And I really recommend everyone to give this drama a try it´s worth it, they made me giggle and laugh through it all but also cry and be angry, the cinematography, the ost, the production and the actors collectively made this a 10/10.

What a heartwarming drama?.

??No way it ended. I want to see more. What a heartwarming drama?. Love this drama, it will always be in my heart. My comfort drama and I also learned many things through OBS. I hope we get more dramas like this in future.

Please I want to see dami and wooshik in another drama again? really they are so natural with each other, they are perfect.

Also this drama is so relatable like everything is so emotional, relationships in this drama had the best developments, not dramatic but in a realistic way. Also this is so my type of drama, cinematography is so aesthetic and scenes also their arrangement were really good, I noticed during flashbacks there would be flicker effect and many more minute details. Also I like the scenes where they showed their hands while talking, also when yeonsu was crying they focused on the filled basin as it was overflowing, we could see the meaning behind these scenes. Our second leads they were the best, they were respectful towards our leads.
I really really mean this drama is so creative, I could say an art!
Not our usual kdrama I would say.I really really mean this drama is so creative, I could say an art!

Love is indeed sweeter the second time around!

For the love of DamShik and OBS, here you go.

It's been months since the show ended but I haven't moved on from WoongYeonsu yet, blame it to Kim Dami & Choi WooShik oozing chemistry.

I really thought that OBS was romance-comedy but gosh, I was so wrong. I ended up crying in every episode. LOL The first few episodes were somewhat heartbreaking BUT I see the beauty in it. The drama is beyond perfection from the cast, plot, cinematography, and its OST. I couldn't think of any other actors who can deliver the characters of Yeonsu & Woong as good as Dami & WooShik, Their high school and college look still amaze me.

Wanted to love it but I couldn't

I went in with a lot of expectations as it was hot and trending all over for its melancholic and sentimental vibe but it did not satisfy my expectations.
It started off nice with the previous documentary being all happy with the 'young days' vibe. I was starting to enjoy it but then it became repetitive as they kept taking a step forward while opening their feelings to each other and then immediately regretting it and avoiding it the next day. I wanted them to not regret their conversations for once.
It had the healing vibe but could have been better. The ML didn't realize his true desires and goals in life until the last which was a bit frustrating and it was wrapped up quickly. The SML could have had a nice happy ending with the one who loved him too but it was a bit regretful not to see that on screen.
Overall, it is not worth all the hype. It is better to go in as any regular without too much expectations.

Comforting to be faced with a summer love (that will last a long time) <3

Wait, I'm still impacted!!!!!!
I loved our beloved summer so much, as I said in some episode their love is very comforting to watch, as Yeon Su said in an ep "it's really good to be in a mature relationship" and that's what they achieved apart for a while and then together. They grew up. In addition to their love that I loved, it was the OST that won ALL of my heart. These are such nice songs to listen to, reading, doing things at home, to relax your mind, listen to in the morning when you wake up. It's simple, delicious and conveys the comfort of the drama and the couple, you know?
And speaking of summer, despite the heat, summer is also comfort and coziness, the drama's scenography is the most beautiful thing, following the seasons, the clothes, scenery, everything, everything. The only thing I didn't like: The other characters, I mean in couple form, firstly, I thought they could have been more developed, you know? I waited for them to go and I missed them. Ji ung at least resolved himself with his mother but his relationship with liking Yeon Su ended up making me upset and it took so long for him to get rid of that feeling (I know it takes time to stop liking someone but it took a long time for me).
I loved the drama format, mixed with documentary, watching it reminded me a lot of Lovestruck in the City which I loved too.
I'm in love with Woo Shik and Da Mi, they're so cute, they have great chemistry, great acting!
It was a really enjoyable drama to watch! ?

More than just a romance

I really love how the plot was written. It is predictable, simple, sometimes boring but I love how the writer tried to use relatable emotions to make the story a great piece of art. I love how this series captured adulting life, the traumas, relationship with parents, friends and lover, the decisions we make everyday that makes us mature a little each day. I love the portrayal of that through this series.

Of course, who wouldn't love the casts? Their chemistry are top-notch. DaMi and WooShik look great together on-cam. I feel butterflies in my stomach whenever they are on a lovey-dovey mode. Matched up with the superb OST songs. It was all perfect.

I really recommend this series if you're someone who's just looking for a light-hearted story with minor tear-jerking scenes. You'll definitely fall in love with this series.

Sweet, refreshing, the characters will take you away.

It had all the aspects of a typical romantic Kdrama, but presented it in a new and refreshing way. The two main strengths of this drama were the storyline, and the main actors. The storyline showed the reality of how relationships are impacted by the pressures and insecurities of being human. I like that the main characters were flawed, yet they found a way to overcome and still come together. I like that the main characters were stubbornly themselves, instead of being cliched, throughout the entire story, which showed the realities of how hard it is to be ourselves and be together all at the same time. They had to work at their relationship. It wasn't a perfect fairytale.

The highlight of this drama were the actors, of which there were several, but I will focus on the two main characters, Choi Ung (Choi Woo Shik) and Kook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) first. Equally strong characters actors who partnered together to carry the audience through an array of emotional angst, insecurity, happiness, new love, then anger and love rekindled. It was if I could feel what they were feeling by watching their emotions bubble up through their very souls, into their eyes, and onto they're facial expressions. This connection held me through the entire drama. Equally strong in their roles were the side characters, especially Kim Sung Choel.

There was a third strength to this drama, and that was the music. The right music was patterned with the right scene, and kept you completely immersed in the story. I noticed the music, but I didn't, which means it was done very well.

A really good story. I finished it quickly because I kept wanting to see the next episode. And was sad when it ended. Well done to all the production cast and crew on this one!!!
