Maybe a waste of time? Maybe not...
Starts off strong, keeps you watching just to see what happens next but not necessarily in a "this is a really good drama" way. More like "wait... who is she going to end up with?" Keep in mind I did not watch the first season since the reviews weren't too great and I have not read the webtoon/comic it's based off of, but I decided to give this season a chance since I wanted to see Jinyoung and Kim Go-eun together. I was still able to understand and pick things up pretty quickly despite not having seen the first season.Positives:
- The cells were interesting and mostly fun to watch, although they can be a bit "in the way" when you just want to see what happens next to Yumi and Babi. Fun to see how they visually represent emotions and feelings mostly everyone has gone through. It does make typically short scenes drag on though.
- Acting is great, whole cast played their roles well.
- Nice to see Jinyoung and Shin Ye-eun together again, even if it wasn't the best of circumstances.
- Cute moments, heart fluttering moments, funny moments, dramatic moments
- Keeps you engaged for the most part
- The soundtrack for this show is great and fits well
Negatives:
- Some scenes drag on for a while since they have to show how the cells react to the situations
- Can obviously tell it's based on a webtoon given the way things play out. Ending is a set-up for another season?
- The show makes you go through two whole seasons with two different guys, only to have both of them discarded at the end in order to set up another love interest for the next season.
- By the end of the show, Babi and Woong are still not over Yumi, yet she's already off trying to find another guy. I wish they could've at least had Babi and/or Woong move on or find another love interest. Just seems weird to go through entire seasons with these characters and their relationships only to have them tossed to the side anyway (other than being swayed for a moment, Babi was such a great guy, and Woong seemed okay too despite being kind of stalkerish and overly-obsessed with Yumi, yet neither of them get a real happy ending).
- Some unrealistic moments that scream "webtoon plot progression" and unnecessary side plots. Woong suddenly becoming successful and rich, Ruby and Control Z's sudden relationship that I didn't really care for, editor Ahn Dae-young's plotline that was admittedly funny but not really necessary.

This might be the worst romance drama I have ever seen in my life..
First of all, let me make it clear, everything I'm gonna say is NOT towards the actors/actresses!!If I didn't read the webtoon beforehand I would have dropped this mess of a drama immediately.. Tbh I only keep watching till the end because of some actors/actresses. I don't have much to say/add anymore as I already expressed most of my concerns ( mostly about the main character) in my first review. And in general I just don't like how the story evolved throughout the show compared to the og, While I'm well aware that stories tend to get changed and adjusted a lot when it gets adapted into a drama/movie but they could have done a better job imo. It is just soo unenjoyable and not only is this a very poor adapation of a webtoon, but this also might be the worst romance drama I have ever seen in my life. So my advice would be to either read the webtoon OR watch the drama, not both, or else you could be very disappointed like me, or if you really wanna do both, go in with the mindset that they're very different and might not be what you've expected.
I guess how you percept it differs from person to person and it could also be just me, cuz everyone else seems to love it lol (which could also be cuz they didn't read the webtoon idk..) so please take everything I've said with a grain of salt, thanks! :)

Disappointing
When it became obvious near the end, that this was just turning into a set-up for a sequel, I lost al patience with it. It is not nearly as charming as the first one was. This included a lot more violence - yes, the cells got violent and it didn't add much to the story. BaBi struck me as a nice guy but boring - he's a company man with not much personality of his own. I loved Woong's quirkiness, his ambition, his creativity. Babi was smooth and dull. And at the end, neither won Yumi, whom I decided was as boring as BaBi. I don't get why these guys are falling for here, there doesn't seem to be much to her other than - well, the cells. Another series that should have quit while it was ahead. Was this review helpful to you?

The cute cartoons in her head cant make me like Yumi
I will keep this relatively short and not focus on the cells because their humour and cuteness just distract from what is a really depressing drama. Yumi is annoying insecure wants the perfect man (they dont exist not even for your cute cells) and as soon as she gets to a point of difficulty in relationship breaks up for selfish and unrealistic reasons. She is annoying. The fact she goes to serial relationship intruder guy in S2 just makes her more unlikeable. The fact she still spends emotion and time on guy1 when in flown blown relationship with guy2 in S2 makes her ...yes even more unlikeable. The fact she breaks up with guy2 mainly because of another woman's interest in him while she has been trotting off to see guy1 througout their relationship makes her again yes...even more unlikeable.
The fact she has to then go to young good looking third guy with no thought for the 2 broken hearts in her wake yes you guessed it makes her even more unlikeable.
People say its not about the romance its all about her and her growth. Well it is totally about the romances through which we clearly see yes it clearly is all about her at least in her mind. As for growth ? All i saw was history repeating itself
Finally why do so many people give this kind of unhappy bad behaviour a pass by assuming it is realistic. None of it is realistic thats why we like dramas, so dramas like this where selfish behaviour is dressed up as realistic slice of life are just a waste IMO. This show turns out to be a pointless story of a woman getting into and ending relationships with nice guys who really like her. Unless you like cartoons and the psychology of a flighty selfish insincere woman who thinks shes always right then there is no real point to it. Sorry it just crystallised that way in my head the more it went on the more the cute funny cartoons couldnt distract from her flawed behaviour. One season would have been more than enough to get the message.

Insightful but a little less charming
This series continues to be so creative with its portrayal of different emotions and thoughts, and I love how we get to see the importance of events that typically seem very minor or commonplace. Yumi's experiences are so relatable and I just really enjoy how down-to-earth this drama is.This season is, I think, a little less charming than the first. I think we see a little less of the cells of other characters, and the pacing is a little off. If I hadn't read the webtoon and didn't know what was coming, I feel like some plot points would feel a little rushed and half-baked to me.
Still, I really like the continuation of the series and how we got to see characters from season 1 grow and develop. Yumi herself grew a lot this season and it was great to follow. Looking forward to the next season!

You can watch it for 박진영 only:)
Yumi's character is 쓰레기! Sorry but it is what it is ! Watched only because of BaBi!! He is such a mature character who supports you, lets you grow, respects you. In short, Yu BaBi is so perfect! But Yumi? She is so immature! She likes breaking up with her boyfriends like eating breakfast! Didn't like her character at all! Really dissatisfied! Sorry! Main character wasn't good enough! Didn't give any excitement or thrill! Didn't make me happy! But side characters were pretty good. Like YiDa,Ruby,Wung ,cells and others! I really liked the cells. They were so cute. Specially that Naughty cell and sensitivity cell! Oh forgot to mention Control Z ! Funny guy!
Frankly speaking, I liked everyone but Yumi! Since it was the main character it should have been a steady one! She really doesn't have peace of mind! She, herself doesn't know what she wants! And that makes her life complicated!

Error! Error!
Wow! What a ride! I binged it. Very addictive like the first. I love the continuity. The only thing that annoyed me was her preference for Babi. I just can't warm up to the guy and his kissing is very forced! I'm unapologetically team Woong! She did him wrong on so many levels. He's a hundred times more handsome, sweeter & move lovable! Babi seems to be a manipulator.Red flag city! There was more delving into side characters with this season. I especially liked the editor's cells that were extremely handsome and hilarious, and with Control Z & Ruby's coupling. I must say it was pretty routine in the beginning, was not enjoying Yumi & Babi's relationship up until Woong showed up, and then it got really fun all of a sudden, but you have to wait a while. I can't believe they sidelined him into a clown role after his made his main entrance, it's really unfair. Yumi has terrible judgement. She says towards the end that she didn't know she could continue the connection after break-up, yeah why lady? It's because men won't hang around you if their not interested, and if they had girlfriends there sure as hell wouldn't be any contact, remember she wasn't that keen on their female friends. I find it really hard to believe that they didn't date anyone else after she broke-up with them. They're men, they're not going to hang around waiting, but this is written to fulfil female fantasy after all. Let's face it, it's usually the other way round and one man usually having two women fighting over him in reality. Women would be lucky to even get one to love them so much. Ah, such a waste! Anyway roll on season 3... Let's see what hunk she's reeled in this time...

Rewatching a show at a new point in my life
So I had been an avid reader of the webcomic Yumi's Cells by Donggeon Lee till its ending back in 2020. I loveeee Kim Go eun and try to watch everything she's in and it was such a gift that a webtoon i loved so much was going to star one of my favorite actor.I started rewatching Yumi's cells a month ago after going through a breakup (i used to fangirl about the webtoon back in 2020 with that person so this show hits hard) and this show has been comforting me for the last month. I just wanted to come here to say how beautiful of a story this really is. Maybe its because its my comfort show but even so, looking at the things Yumi goes through at the end of the seasons and how she handles it through both the seasons and grows has helped me look at my own situation in a better light. There might be Wung shippers, there might be Ba Bi shippers but at the end of the day the line in the show, " There is no male main character. You're the only main character Yumi" hits home. This show is Yumi's cells and watching a character develop through relationships, career changes is just so refreshing and wholesome.
Cant wait for the third season. the casting line up is also so exciting (if what ive seen online is accurate).
Definitely recommend rewatching this show when you need a pick me up or a little comfort corner.

Yumi's Cells Season 2 becomes even more memorable because of Park Jinyoung’s charming performance. He brings a soft emotional depth to his character, making every romantic scene feel special. My feel good vibes were fed well with this show!
I’ll keep my review short and sweet. Those cells have my whole heart.
I adore them! So fun and relatable.
They’re dramatic as hell and funny!
Naughty cell needs his own show lol.
Damn. Why did Woong have to get so much better in season 2? If he’d brought this energy he never would have lost Yumi.
Dammit, Babi, I knew you’d disappoint me.
He wasn’t an in-your-face red flag guy, he was actually sweet, caring, loving – but he had form. He started liking Yumi when he was still with his ex-girlfriend – almost like he seeks the greener grass. And that’s what happened here, he had a momentary sway, and ruined everything!
The closure scene between Babi and Yumi was heartfelt. I wish she’d had a similar scene with Woong, because now I’m left wondering is he still pining for her? ☹
Two quotes that made me LOL –
“I’m sick of emergencies. I’m so sick and tired of them!”
“If I can’t have her, neither can he!”
Oh, those melodramatic cells lol.
Yumi, girl, I’m always on your side, rooting you on!
What an excellent show.

I would keep watching it if it was not for the romance with Yumi and babi which is going to end. I was hoping that the ML would not crush her heart . In the end he does. yes she may find another guy but I was all for the babi cause of his sweet nature. It tunes out in story they him hurt her in the end. I understand the it is 14 esp and i was only on 8 but they could have made it last even after 8 just with a little help with challenges in life like any other couple. I do like the acing in this. Don't get me wrong this is a great show and i was so into it from the start and i do have my preference as to what i like. This does not end the way i would want it to. This is my personal pref at how i rate this. Was this review helpful to you?
