Both of these dramas are focused on using profilers for analysing a criminal's psychological and behavioural characteristics. So if you liked one you will definitely like the other !

I would't say they are smililiar in many aspects, but the impression? The feeling the episodes leave after you watch it?
Both of them grab your attention to the point you don't even notice you're at the end of the episode. It keeps you hooked. Although Through the Darkness is based on real events (as far as i know) and Bigh Mouth is fictional... I'd say, both leave that "emptiness" after.
So if you've watched Big Mouth and don't know that to do with your life now, or you're watching it while it's still airing and don't know what to do in the meantime, I think it's defenetly worth for you to check out Through the Darkness.

Both dramas revolve around profiling and deal around the psychology of crimes and culprits. The only difference is that while Through the Darkness focuses on the detective trying to figure out the criminal, while in Burning Ice multiple different people try to analyze one another and their opponent. Also, both have very well concepted crime cases.

Queen of Mystery is about a frustrated profiler played by Choi Kang Hee who likes to tag along with a detective in solving crimes while Through The Darkness is about the beginning of Korea's profiling system. Each episode of both shows explain possible behavior of perpetrators and how crimes are committed.

Both shows live by the basic forensic (exchange) principle “Every contact leaves a trace” by E.Locard.

Tragic storylines, with the main focus being on profiling. Especially the first couple of episodes of Crime Puzzle are quite similar to Through the Darkness. Also both male leads are quite similar in demeanor.

Both Missing Noir M and Through the Darkness are about investigations and solving crimes and Serial Killers

both shows are about serial killing and how eventually it was solved..... not so much profiling but rather the PROCESS of how justice was brought is the common denominator

ML in both shows are excellent!

Both series has a murderer on loose, and the series is set in past just like Mouse. Both series story line follows a serial killer, chased by a cop (in this case profiler) who doubts and prob into true killer identity regardless of a culprit caught by his peers.

The vibes and the pattern feels uncannily similar to Mouse. People watching Through The Darkness, must see Mouse, who also deals with psychology and psychopathy that originated from studies of Behavioural Science Unit 1 of FBI, who coined the term Serial Killer for the first time in criminal psychology.

Another series based on a profiler, who identifies a killer with his instincts. Both series follows a grisly murders tracked by a profiler who is not liked by peers and together with a female partner solves a crime and hunt a murderer and his purpose.

Both look at crimes from the perspective of the people who tried to catch the criminals. Both are also based on true stories, while one is a documentary & the other is a drama.

This true crime serial killer drama is interesting because it is based on a book by South Korea’s number one criminal profiler Kwon Il Yong and journalist Ko Na Mu. Disturbingly real and suspenseful, this series analyses the psyche of serial killers.

as some of you might know, the story of Yoo young chul is real~ this documentary follows the incidents of early 2000s in Korea. if you want to know more about the cases and how criminal behaviour analysis became a thing in Korea, this documentary is totally recommended!
through the darkness and the raincoat killer are both based on the same story

They are both dramas that showcase the emotional aspect of crimes-the impact the crime has on the victim’s family and the impact it has on the people investigating the crime.
Through the darkness covers multiple cases and is semi-non fictional and ANKH covers one case. I also found Muro Tsuyoshi’s character and portrayal to be similar to Kim Nam Gil’s character too.

Both are nuanced and realistic.
