Born to Be Alive

I couldn't find any reference information, but I think the series was adapted from the 2004 film "Kekexili: Mountain Patrol". Btw, the film was great.

Both dramas depict the lives of the characters with a strong emphasis on local culture and surroundings. Both Born to Be Alive and To the Wonder focus on the internal transformation of the protagonists through experiences arising from daily challenges and conflicts, while the vast, picturesque landscapes play an almost independent role, enhancing the mood and authenticity of the story.

They are both dramas about stopping smugglers. They have good team chemistry, witty bantering, and insightful messages. They don't try to vilify the regular people who were forced to work in the smuggling ring.
