I hated it so much but i would watch it 100x over.

So let me start off by saying that the plot was pretty good granted i do have a bit of daddy issues so a controlling man is kinda my cup of tea, sorry thats tmi, but i really thought i was gonna just watch the first episode cause i was bored and had nothing else to watch, but i invested my life and soul into this show, its not even boring it has okay pacing for how bad it is. The music was terrible though, if you've ever heard of a game called Heavy Rain, that's what it reminded me of just blaring crunchy piano music.

I know a lot of people were comparing it to kinnporsche which i get cause they're both mafia dramas but i didn't really like kinnporsche because it was too serious and got confusing at the end so i wont compare them.

I NEED TO SAY THIS, if you are going to make a show about s3x (idk if im allowed to say that) specifically BDSM, include it in the show. What im saying is, there was like 2 nc scenes in the show, thats not the part im mad about but the fact that they were lowkey uncomfortable and that was the only time we ever saw them really kiss kind of made me mad. Also they acted like Kamol was into some hardcore BDSM for him to just pull out one chain in a shower and thats it.

Ok im done.

when the boss falls in love

the story is ok i gave it a 10 as i didn't get confused in their storyline. literally i got my mind blown and replayed the part of the 3musketeers(watch it to know what i mean lol). the bdsm part was fun as it isn't the intense type (so those who can't stand such scene can watch it)

acting is also pretty much ok i didn't get bored maybe because of their eyes. irl, there are people who are mysterious and don't give away their emotions through their facial expressions. that's how Kumol is, the mysterious type. the one you wouldn't know what's in their mind unless they speak of it. as for Kim, i admire him for taking risk. though he doesn't love Kumol at first, he accepted his offer to use him to forget the pain of his unrequited love(it's quite scary to take risks when you get tired of hurting). for Khom and Baiboon's i'm having the thoughts of "oh wait do i want to see this? will it be cringe-y?" but turns out a satisfying ok. as for Lop, Kit and Ruj's part caught me off guard lol

might i add the part where they keep the domesticated tigers as pets. at first i thought it was just a stuffed toy, barely moving lol. it should've been nice or even better if they had a little story behind them(like these ones can't survive in the wild for some reasons. as i have watched a clip somewhere in socials where they keep such wild animals in a sanctuary as they won't survive in the wild for some health issues or not exposed or used to hunting for preys to feed).

sounds were fine the romantic sound made me laugh a little in some part but it was fine. and if repeating scenes can be considered as re-watching them, then it is.

all in all it was fun watching this as it isn't the intense type.. it was a great watch after watching something heavy/intense. that's how i do it whenever I've seen an intense series, i wash it down with something light and fun :)

Not sure if I liked this or hated it.

My reactions on this show are so confusing. First, let's start with the plot. Oh, wait, no plot. Yep, again with the story built around the sex scenes and not much else. Next, acting. Well, the actor who played Kamol had no expression pretty much the whole series. Not once. Angry, sad, in love, all one expression ... blank. The actor who played Kim was slightly better, but his reactions varied from sulking to sad to clueless with little in between. He was adorable though, so that saved him from total idiocy. [UPDATE: Since I've written this review I've seen several interviews with Yoon and Ton (the main actors) and found that they both have normal expressions and can smile and behave like other people. This leads me to believe that the director asked for the specific expressions (or lack thereof) that were made during this series. So this appears to be the fault of the director and not the actors themselves.] The music was nothing. Like the only thing I remember about it was that they played creepy music during the sex scenes. Is that supposed to be sexy? I have doubts about the competency of this director. Rewatch value: if you like the sex scenes, you can skim back and watch those again, but I wasn't that impressed. Overall, I gave this show a higher value than it deserved because I was impressed with Kamol's absolute dedication and adoration for Kim. Since it was based on a one night stand and somehow he was able to maintain that intensity of love over the course of learning about Kim's personality, I actually felt like the actors deserved props for that. Like Kamol's strangely blank expression was somehow able to at least show an intensity and his actions spoke volumes. So while I wouldn't say this show was good, I wouldn't say it was worthless.

Now about the relationships: this will contain some spoilers. For the first relationship, that is technically over when the series starts: Day and Kim! Wow, that's disgusting. Day is a prick and his love for Itt doesn't make him less of a selfish jerk. I would use other words if I didn't think there were some cursing rules on this website. Anyway, Day and Kim apparently close since high school and dating. But Day never cared about Kim and over time, trying to stay in a relationship with someone he didn't love lead him to treat Kim badly and feel resentment. Then when Day finally met someone else, he dumped Kim like trash. I mean, why not end the relationship as soon as Day realised he didn't love Kim, which was obviously before he met someone he did love? There is no reasoning there except for pure selfishness. Day couldn't let Kim go to find his own happiness until Day found someone else, so he kept Kim hanging on even though he treated him badly and resented him. So you hope for better with Kim's next relationship, but honestly, I don't think Day deserved better. Though he ended up with someone who loved him and treated him well, you could tell that even Itt felt jealous and unsure about Day at the beginning of the series. That's what happens when you string people along, neither your old lover nor your new lover can fully trust you.

Now for the main relationship between Kim and Kamol. Despite the fact that I said Kamol's intensity of love for Kim was cool to watch, this relationship started out as nothing but toxic. After a one night stand, Kamol was possessive, assuming, stalking, and demanding. Like he thought Kim was his property. Why Kim ultimately went with him still leaves me scratching my head in confusion. I can only assume that was Kim's low self-esteem was making that decision, which was what his toxic relationship with Day did to him. Also, though Kamol says he loves Kim and he's trying to protect him, his selfishness is also in evidence because the safest thing for Kim would actually be not having a relationship with a mafia boss whose job puts them in danger. If Kamol really loved Kim more than he loved himself, he would have let Kim go free in the beginning. So intensity doesn't dictate levels of actual love. Their relationship remains pretty toxic throughout the season, with Kim continuing to treat Kamol as though he doesn't care about him (very passive aggressive) and Kamol continuing to treat Kim like property until nearly the end. Then for some reason that escapes me, they both confess their strong love for each other. It was a little confusing why Kim kept making the choices that led him back to Kamol and why Kamol kept loving Kim with no logic or reason, but okay. There was an annoyance over the past relationship between Kim and Day. When Kamol found out, rather than talking to his lover, he did this whole ignore and hurt scenario that only caused confusion and heartbreak. It made no sense, but I guess they had to throw in some reason for Kim and Danil to get kidnapped together. Then when they come out of that situation, Kamol doesn't apologize to Kim for hurting him or even mention his mistake. In fact, Day explains that Kamol just wanted to make sure that Day never hurt Kim again. So why treat Kim like a piece of trash and why did that take so long? Again, plot device that they threw in to make a reason for the kidnapping situation and then never addressed. That really left a bad taste in my mouth. At the end, they did seem to love each other and there was a nearly invisible amount of character development that made it almost believable. So the relationships aren't totally toxic, or at least don't end up that way. Which is probably why the Kamol/Kim relationship makes me think it wasn't a waste of run time. Still not something I loved or would watch again, but not a complete waste of time.

Final note: With regard to the BDSM relationship between Kamol and Kim. I find the handling of this subject to be irresponsible and reprehensible. BDSM does not mean that one partner gets consent to do whatever he wants to the other partner without regard to that person's comfort or well being. While they took the time to show that Kamol got consent, the whole idea that Kamol was like "you're not allowed to run away no matter how much it hurts" is just absurd. Both partners would actually discuss and set boundaries, they might even have a safe word so that each partner can have an enjoyable and safe experience. It isn't just a no-holds barred, I'm going to beat you until you cry and try to run away scenario. They do what they both want to do and feel comfortable with, it's not that one sided. The way the writer casually spreads misinformation through books and the production company then glorifies it in their TV series just shows how little they know and how low they are willing to sink in the pursuit of money. They have absolutely no respect for the work they do. In that regard, they should all be ashamed of themselves.

Love this Series!

This series was amazing. I love how it gave you a little of everything. You have love, sex, intimacy, bondage, jealousy, growth of characters, lots of drama, etc. This hit everything I love to watch together in one. There were amazing characters that you loved and some you hated, with lots of surprises and lots of growth in the characters which I love to see. Love how the one-night stand turned into a treasure of love and support from the cast. the ending was the best. It kept me watching from beginning to end in one day. If you enjoy dominant vs passive then this is for you. The cast and pairings are great and the leads have great chemistry. This series is a big recommendation for me and hope to find more like this. Wish it was longer

Made me LMAO watching this

First of all, the acting, like wtf. Just in the episode 1 alone, the bed scene. I dont know what emotions theyre trying to invoke from the audience but dang I laughed so hard watching Kamol face and expression while he’s trying to whip Kim 😅 It’s like fifty shades of gray but Sesame Street’s version if you know what I mean.

Story is really interesting but it kinda got lost with the acting the fucked up musical score.
I mean, the piano background was so overdone, it’s giving me nightmares.
The cheesy ballads are so over dramatic you’d think youre watching titanic 😅

Overall I’d say it’s really hard to watch, you just want to get over it just so you know how it ends but youll never rewatch it for sure.

Oddly romantic and enjoyable

I felt like writing a review because of the low rating, as I don't think it really deserved it. After seeing the score and all the negative comments I was bracing myself for the worst, but this one actually became one of my favorite Mafia-themed BL (the other one being "HIStory 3: Trapped").
As usual, my first worry was about the Mafia theme, as I feel like most series get it horribly wrong, but this time around I was pretty satisfied with it: it wasn't just about people waving guns around, but the weapons and the bodyguards also weren't there for show - there IS action and not just pretty people in suits. I also appreciate the fact that while this was one of the more "wholesome" depictions of Mafia, nobody in the series at any point acted as if they were just "misunderstood good guys", nor did they ever imply that being in the Mafia was anything remotely honorable or desirable.

The story wasn't anything new, but the execution was what caught my heart. I read somewhere that the characters in the novel are a lot different from the actors that were chosen for this series, but I believe that the choice was on point? Kim looks sweet without giving the idea of feeling absolutely powerless, and Kamol is just THAT good of an actor - he's very charismatic and his expressions made every scene feel vivid and real. The romance was very sweet and almost cheesy at some times, but I never felt annoyed while watching and it goes at the right pace without being forced. Although none of the characters are particularly deep, I appreciated how they gave some level of depth even to the secondary characters.
I won't pretend like there are no flaws to the plot - there were, I just enjoyed the show so much overall that in the end they didn't influence my judgement all that much. This might be because my expectations for this series were already pretty low to begin with, so you'll have to judge for yourself.
As for the sexy scenes, I can't judge because I didn't watch them: the series on YouTube had all its steamier parts cut to almost nothing, so there are only a few pecks here and there and not much else. I recommend looking up the episodes on a different platform for the full experience.

If you're looking for comedy then I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, but if you're looking for romance then this might be the right show to watch.

Oh crap its so sad i want cry, its that ridiculous

I honestly don't know why I'm still watching this, its so boring and just bad, like mind numbingly awful it just makes me sad.
Fast forward through most of it, if you feel you have to put yourself through the torture. The two leads have very little chemistry but its the story and direction that really is the main reason its so dreadful. Possibility of a romance between the nephew and the bodyguard is more interesting than the main couple, zero steam between them. Don't waste your time on this, run i tell you, run in the opposite direction.

Nothing more than a meme material!

This series is rated 18+ not because of the graphic and sexual scenes but for the mental torture this series happens to be!

When the trailer dropped for this series, I reckoned acting and direction will not be its strongest suit, but still, I was hoping for a better plot.
But when the first episode dropped, all hell broke loose. It was awful! I still decided to go on, but now 4 episodes , in, nothing makes sense.

Bad acting and poor directing skills overshadow anything that might be good in it.

I am still scratching my head for who thought this series is worthy of airing. The cast has no chemistry whatsoever. It is like they are being forced to work with each other.
Yoon should not have played Kamol. He does not make a good mafia character. I am sorry to his fans but his acting is awful in this series! The actor that plays Kim is not good either. Everyone is either overacting or is stiff during the scenes.

Their kissing scenes and intimate scenes are straight-up cringy. I rather stick a fork in my eyes than watch them awkwardly kiss. The direction is so bad! A teenager would have done a better job.

The story doesn't seem worthy either. Overall this series is a new definition of BAD in Thai bl.

Keep with it

The first episode I was unsure as I was also watching Kinn and Porsche so in comparison not as steamy. The first episode being the pilot I think they were still trying to figure out the camera work. And when using the nine tails I think the actor was not aware his face was being focused on so that was odd and disconnected from the scene. But after episode one it gets good. Keep with it.

It portraits a story were the lead is acting as one would act in his situation. He is reluctant to get involved with the Mafia world. Wants to be left alone and does not just roll over and give up. Keep watching, the storyline is good I don't feel like episodes are a waste of time, they all have purpose and help develop the story.

Homoerotic Love as a Driving Force for Cinematic Action

I do wish I spoke, or at least read, the Thai language. I have deep suspicions that the subtitles to this series leave something to be desired. And that's a pity, because the storyline is strong. I do like the way in which the threads involving both main characters are introduced and come together from the very first episode.
I've read a few opinions to the effect that "Unforgotten Night" is a weak production, but I do not agree. It's an intriguing production, and, coming on the heels of the outstanding and expensive "KinnPorsche the Series", holds its own very well indeed. There are one or two clumsy moments when, for example in the forecourt of the MC's mansion, a fleeting corner shot shows a camera crew at work (Episode 4 or 5, as one remembers), but these can be accepted, and one imagines that the editors will learn from them.
One of the particularly strong aspects of "Unforgotten Night" is the casting and the general power of the characterisation. From the outset, both main characters demand full audience attention, while the supporting cast, from the largest to the smallest role, are all excellent performers.
They say that working with animals is difficult. You can lose all control of the audience because of "cuteness", and this is very true of "Unforgotten Night", with its inclusion of two excellently trained Bengal tigers. I don't intend to insert a spoiler here, but the look on the face of one of the animals (I think it's a female) when it first spots one of the MCs definitely says: "Pork chop, and it's mine..." No-one should miss this scene.
"Unforgotten Night" reveals the full range of interpersonal conflicts, and the characters continue to develop their individual stories throughout the action in a highly satisfactory manner. Bodyguards can easily become nothing more than stock figures, but in "Unforgotten Night", the main bodyguards take a strong part in the development of the story line, to the extent that one cannot avoid becoming curious about their second-level stories as integral parts of the plot.
The two main characters, Yoon Phusanu Wongsavanischakorn and Ton Saran Anantasetthakul, are powerful throughout, neither dominating over the other, but both showing a personal strength and individual determination which is probably one of the strongest aspects of "Unforgotten Night".
I will be very sorry when this series ends, but it has a definite and very strong re-watch value, which will be of some comfort.

Dollar store Vegas-Pete

Aren't they embarrassed to air this while KP was airing?

I wrote a review about Kinn-Porsche saying that it was basically fetish porn disguised as mafia drama and it was not up to my standards. Well, this one is also disguised (unsuccessfully) as mafia drama, the fetish part was clearly written/executed by someone who knows nothing about BDSM and there was exactly ZERO chemistry between the super toxic (as usual) relationship between the protagonists.

Basically if you have watched 50 shades of Grey prepare yourself for something like that, but worse.

So the main character consists of Kim, a guy who was rejected by someone he was in love with and decided to have a one night stand with Kamol (the mafia boss), without knowing who he is. Afterwards, Kamol becomes obsessed with Kim, declares him the person he has always been searching for and basically acts like Vegas acted with Pete. The problem is that there is NOTHING about Kim that would explain Kamol's obsession.

Unlike KP (especially the novel), that progressively shows multiple rare qualities in Pete (empathetic, good looking, intelligent, loyal, good fighter etc), Kim is the most boring, annoying and avoidant person possible, who treats Kamol like shit most of the time and is clearly not attracted to him. There is zero chemistry between them and after enduring 5 episodes, it's time for me to throw in the towel, because this nonsense isn't getting any better.

Kamol in return, acts like an abuser and stalker who practically forces Kim to live with him. As if all that wasn't enough, there is an annoying, bitchy and unprofessional female ''rival'', who wants Kamol for herself.

To the loser authors: in order for someone to be an interesting rival, there has/had to be something going between them and their love interest. Kamol never wanted this woman and she justs end up acting delusional and repulsive and adds nothing to the plot.

The soundtrack is also so awful, that I had to mute it at times and I have never done this before, although I have watched many BLs.

Don't even bother with this nonsense drama.

The Best Ever Drama

I have watched this drama/serie , call it what you want.
In my opinion this is the best and the hottest drama that you could ever find.
I fell in love with the actor who played the Mafia Boss and i literaly fell of my chair when i was waching the first episode. I love this drama so so much. All actors are fantastic but the main lead actor and his companion made me love the BL drama so much more. I love the actor that played the character Mafia Boss and he is my official idol. He is my only idol.
He is an amazing actor and he is lucky to have a partner if i am correct by his side in reality .
I really really want to see more dramas with Yoon Phusanu Wongsavanischakorn ! He is such a handsome, intelligent and amazing actor.
He is the only nr.1 actor on my list of actors that i love so so much. He is the star in my list . He is the best ever.
