A VAMPIRE CAN'T FIX LACKING PLOT
The highlight of this BL as a whole has to be Jiwoong, and while that may be biased, this is my review so I am going to be biased. He ate that vampire role up, given what he was which brings me in my 2nd point...The story was...Below avarage, especially given the vampire idea, it could have definitely be written better, but also several plotholes and questions left unaswered, with a season 2 rumored this could change but I doubt it will so I stand my ground on this.
The music was good, but did not impress me alot.
Would still rewatch if I was bored one day and had nothing else to do.

A VERY BEAUTIFUL STORY OF LOVE!
I love this so much! The storyline is amazing. I've seen and felt different kinds of love in this BL, romantic, family, friendship, unrequited love and others, and it was showed amazingly. I deeply felt the feelings the two male leads had for each other and... aahh, I really want to say more but I don't want to mention spoilers. I actually watched both the movie and series version because I don't want to miss anything and I plan to rewatch them again. Oh, and by the way, the two male leads are very good-looking, just perfect for each other. I love the effects, the music... everything! I already added this to my favorite list. Love this so much! Was this review helpful to you?

It could’ve been better
I watched this and felt it was a really shallow drama. Such as K-bls it was incredibly short. I would describe it as a summary of a drama. It left me with more questions at the end. Like what is the story of the vampire and his deceased lover? How did the vampire meet his vampire friend? How does the humans brother know about vampires and the fact the main lead is a pure blood human? It was just confusing. This drama moves at light speed. One second the vampire is trying to drink the humans blood the next him and the human are in love and finally the vampire dies. The end. However I did read it will get a second season so I hope I can understand better wtf happened.I did really love though how the drama was about a selfless love. The vampire chose not to drink his lover’s blood because it could’ve killed his lover. In doing so the vampire dies. His lover offered his blood freely and the vampire still refused it. I thought that was actually a very beautiful thing. Actually when the vampire dies I teared up a bit because it was actually a heart breaking scene.
The acting is actually very good and very believable. The chemistry is on point and perfect. The actors are very handsome and there love scenes felt very natural. Actually one thing I notice is that with KBl the kiss scene is actually not something that just happens. It’s worked up to and when it happens it’s actually a very beautiful scene. That’s why the kiss scene is actually a very celebrated moment in KBl because it’s actually quite a beautiful scene.

Story of Johun+Minhyun
The story was good, I liked of how shy Min-Hyuns character was, but it felt a bit rushed. I get that it's a short BL, but it seemed to move quickly. The plot was confusing at time, and the ending wasn't the best.SPOILERS FOR ENDING
The fact that they killed off Johun when he could've lived madr me upset. I understand that the character felt guilty for the death of his ex, and he didn't want to hurt Min-Hyuns, but he offered for him to take his blood. The ending could of had a better way to end it off instead of killing him. Overall, it was a decent show, and if I had to grade it, it would probably be a C+.

Could have been much better
This made so little sense, lol. It's a show about a vampire, but besides drinking blood and being immortal, he has no other vampire characterictics. He can be out in the sun just fine and I don't even think I saw a fang. The plot was a mess, especially in the last episode. What was the ring about? What was the random scene on the basketball field after the lady asks Jun Ho if his heart is at ease? After going back to check, I realise it's probably Min Hyun dreaming, but it was very confusing. Why was Min Hyun even asleep in the classroom? Why does he hug Jun Ho when he wakes up as if he thought he'd lost him? Didn't they just sleep together then went to class?
Why didn't he drink his blood when we already know from the first episode that he can drink some without killing people? Why did the other vampire have red eyes? How did Min Hyun's brother find the hideout when no one else in school seems to know about it? Who even was the older lady? She seems to work at the school? They tried way too hard to fit a convoluted plot into eight 10-minute episodes.
This also had the low-budget feel that most KBLs have. The only reasons I'm not rating this lower than 6.5 stars are because the two leads are great, and some scenes fall into the "so bad it's good" category. I see there's possibly a second season in the works - hopefully it answers some of the questions and gives this mess a proper ending?

I Don't Even Know What to Title This As.
I really have to revamp my whole rating list when it comes to shorter dramas, because this one was good and bad at the same time. Good? The premise was good. The cast was good. All the emotions were conveyed well. The story? Oh dear, the story. It seems that the writers even directed this one specifically for that *horns and balloons* ending.
For a story to have emotional depth, the run time matters. Here, we dive head first into something, watch the leads' relationship grow, then get thrown into something else. And I still have no idea what the significance of that character was. He existed for the angst. Minus him from the story and there is still no change to the overall plot.
I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to finish their 52 Week Watch Challenge, but are short on free time. As for others... if you are expecting some mind blowing storytelling, this ain't it. But, it does have good emotional performances by the cast that is unfortunately stunted by the limited runtime.

Short & cute
This series isn't very long but it's still good. It's hard at this point to find an original version of a vampire when they all seem to follow the same rules. This one didn't and it was lovely. I'm a huge fan of anything Supernatural & a fan of BL so this one was right up my alley and I wasn't the least bit disappointed. It could of been longer worth more character development but you didn't ever feel like you were missing something. I read some reviews before I started so I was prepared for a sad ending but if I hadn't I would of been a blubbering mess. Was this review helpful to you?

The story was decent, not amazing, but watchable. The acting wasn't the best bul it didn't defract too much from the plot. The production could have been better as well. The episodes were short, & everything felt rushed. I wish Korean BLs had longer episodes. However, the ending was beautiful & satisfying. As for chemistry I was surprised they managed to deliver, given the short episodes, but they satisfied me. towards the end Honestly, I kept watching mainly for their chemistry. It's a good series. Could've been a big hit.
If you know me you should know I loveeee shorter series. Sometimes I feel like watching a series but I don't wanna be locked in for to long. I love how this series has short episodes that are around 10 minutes and 8 episodes. But exactly what I was afraid of happened. The plot was totally lost due to the limited time there was each episode.I enjoy vampire themed bl's, but this one was VERY mid. Just your average low budget Korean show in my opinion. I'm gonna be very honest right here, I am not a big fan of Korean bl's mainly because most of the once I've watched are just insanely disappointing and just average. Same with this one.
I'm just really disappointed in this series and I just wish they had a bigger budget, it would be amazing to see a remake with a bigger budget. This does NOT mean that low budgeting is bad when it comes to series BUT they should've arranged things differently to make it atleast.
I heard so many people talking about the harassing BLUE EYES. As someone with blue eyes this is very bad for our community. No because WHAT WAS THAT. I was genuinely laughing and I'm gonna be for real I couldn't take the situations serious when I got Racked by those fucking eyes. I'm traumatised for life.
Maybe it's just me but the sad part didn't get me, it all went to fast without proper build up. I love the whole idea but would love to see this on a higher budget. Love what they tried to do but the feeling doesn't exactly stick with you. It just doesn't feel real because of the poor editing and limited time you got to get to know a character and to actually feel kinda connected to them. This might be the worst part about it all because if the feeling the makers tried to create doesn't stick it means something...
Something I've seen others addressing in their reviews aswell, there was no proper build up for their romance, it felt like they had just met. Also these characters were so fucking stupid it was rage baiting and why go into a fucking room with a vampire? Boi got no survival skills.I'm gonna be very honest about this, the only good thing were the actors. I wouldn't have liked it if their acting was bad aswell. I think they were cute together but sadly the fucking production team really fucked this up. They had so much more potential with the plot and I'm just sad they let it go to waste in this series.
I was going through the casting after watching this to write the review and my stupid ZEROSE ASS didn't even recognise Kim Ji Woong when watching this HELP. I'm a huge fan of zb1 and they almost became my ult group but I gen watched this without realising. I did know one of the members played in multiple Bl but I didn't know it was this one.

Better than I expected!
I wasn't sure how this was gonna go with how short it is, but I was pleasantly surprised! They didn't try to do too much with the vampire lore and didn't try to overcomplicate things. Junho is a vampire who is going to die and needs to drink pure human blood (still not sure what this means but oh well) to turn into a human. To do so, he needs to make Minhyun, who has pure blood, fall in love with him. But of course, Junho falls in love too and isn't willing to risk Minhyun's life for his own. Most realistic part is Minhyun learning Junho is a vampire and immediately telling him to drink his blood. Honestly he's so real for that.

A Brief Flicker of Loneliness Disguised as a Love Story
Kissable Lips isn’t the kind of drama that leaves you reeling. It doesn’t roar, it doesn’t crescendo — it simply passes through like a quiet sigh in the night, brief but not without consequence. I went in expecting a cute spin on the overdone vampire trope, but instead found myself sitting with something smaller, quieter: a story about loneliness dressed up in fangs and romance.Kim Ji-woong’s Jun-ho wasn’t your typical vampire archetype — no brooding predator, no gothic seduction. He just looked… tired. Like someone who’d watched the world move on without him a hundred times too many, and was left floating somewhere between regret and resignation. There was no attempt to make vampirism seem glamorous; it felt more like a sentence than a superpower, and that quiet sadness gave the character surprising depth.
Then there was Yoon Seo-bin’s Min-hyun, who showed up like sunlight through an overcast sky — awkward but earnest, bringing that tentative hope that maybe, just maybe, life could be more than just surviving. Their connection wasn’t explosive, but it was sincere, even when the script rushed it. You could feel the unspoken hunger, not just for blood, but for understanding, for warmth, for a hand to hold without fear.
But here’s the catch — just as the emotional threads started to weave together, the show was already tying its final knot. The short run time was a double-edged sword: it kept things lean, but it also clipped the story’s wings before it could really fly. Whole emotional beats felt hinted at rather than explored. Scenes ended before they could dig into the messier, more interesting angles of immortal grief and fleeting human comfort.
There were moments where the dialogue stumbled — a little too on-the-nose, a little too stitched together from genre conventions — but there was enough rawness in the performances to smooth out the rough patches. It was never empty, just... brief. Like reading a beautiful first chapter and realizing there’s no book after it.
I didn’t walk away from Kissable Lips deeply changed, but I did walk away touched — the kind of soft ache that doesn’t demand attention but lingers quietly at the edges. Like a dream you forget as soon as you wake up, only to feel its ghost for the rest of the day.
Not a drama that stays forever. But one that, for a fleeting moment, made loneliness feel a little less lonely.
