Both are a lifelong friendship that turns to romance with the FL older than the ML and always getting him into trouble as children. Both have funny flashbacks to their early childhood, and both MLs are more quiet while the FLs are bolder. The leads' parents are also very close.

In both, the FL et ML have grown together and considere each other as siblings until the romance appears. The ML is the first to understand that he loves his "sister".
The ML has a complicated family situation in both, but it is more complicated in FIT.
In both the ML is really good at studies when the FL is not and needs his help.
The ML is seen as really handsome by everyone and the FL has many rivals.

I think that FIT is better thanks to its better story and quality but EF is not a really bad drama either.

Exclusive Fairytale is still about to be released however based on novel:

- leads growing up together
- plot going from childhood times to school to university to adult life
- childhood friends to having crush on each other to lovers
- smart male lead who helps female lead study
- male lead being attentive to FL
- dealing with problems of teenagers and then young adults like exams, university, discovering yourself, first jobs

• Both have Older Woman/Younger man tag.
• FLs in both treat the ML as a little brother.
• Strong female leads.
• Childhood Sweethearts.
• Families of the leads are involved in their lives.

The leads are so similar in both dramas.
The FL is a bubbly carefree girl and the ML is smart and cold.
In ISWAK, the FL chases the ML, but in exclusive fairytale it's different.
both dramas are very romantic and fluffy

I'm actually upset that no one has recommended this yet. Some major points of similarity as both have:
- non-blood-related siblings/???? (childhood sweethearts) turned lovers trope
- banter (except I think Sweet First Love's is a lot better) between the leads
- a lot of romance which makes it perfect for mindless binging (more so in Exclusive Fairytale in my opinion)
- school life and uni life (although there's more school life in Sweet First Love)

However, if you haven't watched both and want to know which one's more suited for you, Exclusive Fairytale is 1000% romance-centered but has none of the stereotypical misunderstandings or jealousy. Whereas, Sweet First Love has sparks flying everywhere that is on an incomparable level for me, and it contains quite a bit of jealousy from the male lead, but is so cutely executed. It does also have a little bit more plot development than Exclusive Fairytale.

The feeling of both is so similar, not much drama, like a soothing balm. So much romance, so much love, the feeling of your heart flattering from love. Definitely recommend both to watch.

Synopsis

The drama tells the story of how an ordinary girl Xia Guo chooses when faced with two different choices, and what happens. The drama is presented in parallel time and space. The different choices of the heroine will lead to different endings. There are the challenges and dilemmas of the big city; but on the other hand, there is the stability and triviality of the small town. In life it is always necessary to make concessions, without fear of loss, and moving forward to embrace that sense of the "extraordinary." If life could have other versions, and the "if" could be experienced, what would it look like? The drama realizes this "if" so that the heroine experiences two lives in parallel. How she will handle those choices is the big question.

"I live elsewhere" (from original title in chinese).

? Both dramas fall within the romantic comedy genre, focusing on lighthearted and sweet romantic relationships with humorous elements.

? In both dramas, the main characters start off with a history of knowing each other since childhood or youth, eventually growing into a romantic relationship. This "friends-to-lovers" progression is central to the plot.

? In both series, the female protagonists are portrayed as smart, ambitious women. In Love is Sweet, the female lead works in the financial world, while in Exclusive Fairytale, the female lead has her own personal goals and dreams.

? The male lead plays a supportive role, encouraging and helping the female lead achieve her dreams, while also developing feelings for her. They are protective yet respectful of her independence.

? Family plays an important role in shaping the dynamics of the characters' relationships, adding emotional layers to the narrative in both dramas.

The sweet love story of Yin Yi Ke and her childhood partner Xu Guang Xi. Seemingly having a perfect life, Yin Yi Ke has lived her 32-years-old life as a matter of course. Whether in the company or at home, she is thoughtful all around. Like a never-tired Wonder Woman, she takes care of everyone around her except herself. Everything changes, when she meets Xu Guang Xi, the young man who used to often visit her place for meals during their youth. Returning from his studies abroad, Xu Guang Xi, the boy who used to just feel a sense of dependence on Yi Ke, is now attracted to her. But chasing Yi Ke is nothing short of a difficult feat. It entails a fast-moving life and ultra-realistic pressure. For love, Guang Xi tries to become more mature and adjusts his footsteps, taking firm steps toward Yi Ke. The two throbbing hearts, who have experienced countless challenges and choices, start getting closer little by little. Understanding that the best love is not to sacrifice each other, they attract and respect each other so that they can both become better people.

Similarities: non-blood related sibling-esque relationship, light drama/not too heavy, forbidden romance
Differences: older woman/younger man, older characters
