If you are here for a fluffly rom-com, you are dead wrong - no pun intended.This story is about the lives and work of those in service of a funeral home. It will make you cry, smile, and develop a deeper understanding for the inevitable tragedy of death and the value of life. -Similar to the protagonist of the story.
Sanyue starts as a bratty girl who has given up on life because she feels like life has given up on her. While contemplating suicide her aunt appears and convices her otherwise. She helps her get a job at a funeral home as a make-up and restoration artist. With time, Sanyue not only learns the skills required for this demanding job, but also gains a deeper respect for the deceased and the people they leave behind.
This show is not perfect. Some of the younger actors only deliver passable performances, but it's not so bad that it takes you out of the story. The story itself can appear a bit overly dramatic at times, almost making the protagonist appear like Detective Conan with people dying left and right arond her. However, considering that this is a story about a funeral home, it is not too unrealistic.
Here are my top 3 reasons why you should watch this show:
3. The show depics relationships between humans very realisticly. Whether it be Sanyue's messy relationship with her mother (and later also father), her ups and downs in pursuit of love, or the relationship between family members and the deceased.
2. It offers a glimpse into the work and lives of people working at funeral homes. Including the demanding things they have to do, and the hardships and prejudice they have to endure from the outside world on a daily basis. After watching this, you will gain a deeper respect for the profession and the people who dedicated themselves to this service.
1. The deceased are pitiful, but the living need even more compassion. With each of her jobs Sanyue meets and learns more about life and death, and so do the viewers.
Overall this is a very meaningful show. Yes, it has its flaws, but so does life itself. And maybe that's what makes it so beautiful.

This drama is really meaningful!!!! Give it a try and ignore some bad reviews
I came across this drama and decided to read the reviews to see if it is worth it. After reading the lowest review on here, I decided to drop the drama. However, I saw the trailer of the main lead when I was on FB and it caught my attention. I then decided to give this a try and I am so glad I did. I don't know why the person complains this drama involves so much about deaths/funerals. I mean the FL works at a funeral, do you expect to see weddings there or something? I also don't get it why they complain the main characters just stay on the side when others cry during the funerals. I mean the main leads work there, yes, they are sad, but of course we have to leave the screen time for the family members. Of course everyone has their own opinion, but I just want to defend and let others know that this drama is actually worth it. Just ignore that bad review because it just didn't make sense to me. At first, I kind of dislike the FL's character but later I grew to love her. If you guys want a short drama that is meaningful, this one is for you. There were some episodes that I cried so so much. In our constantly moving world, sometimes we need to slow down
I didn't have high expectations when I began watching, but after finishing, I think i cried almost every episode.Every episode is a life lesson, not just for the main character, but also for us viewers. The world we live in is so fast paced that we often take a lot of small, but ever so important, things for granted. Despite the drama only being 13 episodes, the director does a excellent job of taking us through the journey of gaining perspective of life through out the show without sacrificing too much pacing or character development.
Take a moment to appreciate life, it sure is a beautiful thing.

Good drama ? don’t be bias with your bias review
I decided to watch this drama because of the actor & supporting actor The ML is from meteor garden , the older ML is from the villian from drama the princess agent. The old pyscho The supporting actor is from story of min lan who play father of Min Lan.I wouldn’t say the drama is aweful since it isn’t like other high budget drama, few high budget drama was very bad even with great actor & actress. The story start like our FL is fresh graduate i think with interior design with light furniture etc. She get this job via her mom friend who give the phone number to her , she called up and speak to the superior later he ask her to come for the interview, never did she think it is a funeral home.

Realistic but terrible acting and bad plot
It is understandable that creating a tv series like this is difficult although the acting is really fake and seems like the cast was a bad selection.The plot is incredible fake as it's literally a film where everybody's just dying, people are getting cancer or dying in car accidents, is there really nothing else to put in???
During every funeral scene where people were mourning, the characters in the background were barely even acting; they were just standing. The character in focus has terrible expressions.
Unsure as to what I can specifically like about this film as there isn't much likeable asides the fact that a couple scenes could be relatable in real life.
Liu Jun's and Yang Xing Ming's acting are notably the best actors in the film.
