A must watch

A very interesting story, where both characters and the plot unfold ever more complex and fascinating levels during the show. It was both charming and exciting and is a timeless classic. There are so many topics covered and no moment is boring or filler. The MCs are fascinating and plausible, the support characters are recognizable and also are integrated well. Every episode adds something new, interesting and rich. Some really unexpected surprise twists, and overall a memorable series both as BL but also as a story in itself.

CUTE and worth watching but silly

The silly part is not just about the whole “curse” thing.

1. Accidents with buses are decided by the road police, not by teachers.
2. Schools like this have entrance check points, so pupils can not enter if they are not in the uniform.
3. School pupil patrol does not have the right to violence, this would be a violation of the code.
4. Flower pots are never put in places where they can be dropped onto the heads of pupils.
5. Phones are said to be banned in the school, and yet they are shown openly used right in classes later.
6. The current level of social media development would not have allowed any events in the school to be hidden from the sponsors the management cares about.
7. the way how face damage from fights is shown in the series is the funniest ever because they use like one smallest bandage piece per a face for this, which is nothing like what actually happens.

A POSITIVE shocker: the lads are not written to be hardcore straights who are shocked to find out that they have all of a sudden become gay. And even when they are not friendly to each other in the beginning, they still throw assessing gazes, which is incomparably more realistic compared to lots of other series where the encounter is simply hostile because neither of the lads are written as bi/gay.

The Hollywood-style over dramatic music is a bit distracting.

A PSA: never accept friendship requests from unknown accounts as this series shows. Those are most certainly neural networks-enabled bots to spread spam or malware to rob you.

So good i can’t even

At the beginning it may be confusing as it was for me but yall have to just trust the process it is worth it! It really gets more emotional at the end especially the last two episodes i wasn’t mentally prepared for that! The acting was perfect only things i didn’t like was the lack of depth that was put into KanTuah and making Ayan’s personality so pushy towards Akk I don’t know i just saw and felt that way! But overall it was amazing !!

THE ECLIPSE

One of THE BEST thai bl enemy-trope series I have EVER watched. it's very thrilling and there are alot of mysteries and twists. the acting of the characters are absolutely good, WARNING: MENTAL HEALTH, alot of familiar and known bl actors and has chemistry. It shows alot of how much LGBTQ+ affects people. its a bit of supernatural and I would definitely recommend this to other BL LOVERS. I cried so much on this show and its very exciting of how the main character is secretive and very mysterious. The series has good character visuals. the acting and plot is very overwhelming and has alot of confrontations, its similar to the series Not me. I finished this in 3 days I would love another series like this. (FirstKhao, NeoLouis.)

My favourite thai drama (and pairing)

The series that got me into firstkhao-
It's been so long and I rewatch it every now and then. When I started it I didn't expect it to get me as much as it did and I became attached to the actors, as well as the plot which is not what I was used to in respect of bl dramas. I really enjoy seeing their backstories and watching them overcome their issues with eachother's help, whilst knowing they found eachother at the right time, exactly when they needed it. I also like how the issue of the school is a real world issue and the show is educating viewers on the issues of people just letting something like this continue when it is wrong and they should be fighting against it - no matter the situation if it may be similar to this. One of my favourite shows ever I still miss akkayan - there are not many that would be able to even get close to beating them.
Definitely recommend to others because the plotline combined with firstkhao's acting makes a very good series and if you haven't watched you are missing out. Is always the first show I mention if someone asks for bl recs.

Fascism high

There’s a strict school with weird cultish undertones and a new student joins to disrupt the status quo

There’s mystery with a curse and why the students characters act a certain way. It has school romances, enemies to lovers/opposites attract and childhood friends to lovers which are my favourite tropes. It was fasted paced and brought plot twists all the way to the end. The acting is really good and I love when characters pretend not to be in love. I also like that there’s homophobia that the characters and their surroundings have, brings a level of realism. I’ve seen other reviews saying it was poorly executed and disappointed them but I went blindly and loved it even if I easily predicted it. But the music is sometimes so loud that I couldn’t hear the characters.

be ready to cry

this is one of my favorite series of all time, I have emotional attachment to it. it shows all the emotions beautifully, beautifully tragical story, shows dealing with losing a loved one, denial and acceptance of own feelings, importance and power school can hold not only over students but their whole lives , beautiful story of two boys falling in love, i usually like spicy scenes like kinporsche has, but in these series I didn't miss the absence of them. this series really holds a special place in my heart forever.

A must-watch if you want something new

I loved this series so much. It was a new, fresh storyline with great characters, subplots, and twists. I think everyone did their best with playing their characters but I have to point out a few that stood out to me: Khaotung as Chon (Tonhon Chonlatee) vs Ayan was a MASSIVEEEE difference- I almost had no faith that a role like Ayan would suit him because of how used I was so used to his Chon persona. Similarly First as Kim (The Shipper) vs Akk- how did he go from "EHHHHH???!" to perfect Student Prefect like wowwww. I also think it was nice to see Louis and Pawin doing negative roles- great change.

I'm so glad I started this series and would absolutely love to see more like this!

I may be biased, but this show is also objectively excellent

This show holds a very special place in my heart. Is it perfect? No. But it does have an intrinsic understanding of what it means to be a queer teenager in a rigidly hetero-normative environment that I have rarely, if ever, seen in a drama.
Through a combination of beautiful visuals, effective editing, and absolutely stellar performances we are told a tale about suffocating, oppressive "normality" and the strict rules in place to ensure preservation of and adherence to the status quo; a delicate structure which is disrupted by the aberrant yet deeply familiar allure of queerness.
With Suppalo high school, a perfect microcosm of society at large, as its backdrop, the story explores themes of mental illness, identity, freedom, and abuse with incisiveness and care.
The way these struggles for individuality and freedom of expression are depicted may not exactly be subtle, but it is incredibly effective and analyses the complexities of these systems and issues quite thoroughly.

The highlight of the series, however, are doubtless the characters.
There is Akk, who is so terrified of himself and his wants that he fully devotes himself to being a perfect part of the system, but no matter how strictly he enforces rules on himself and others, he just can't kill the part of himself that's different, unruly, queer.
There's Ayan, who has learned to weaponise his "otherness", his queerness to great effect, but who is also genuinely vulnerable and fragile.
Thua, who tries, in vain, to survive through keeping his head down and enduring, and Khan who is endlessly torn between defending his friends and ideals, and distancing himself from them so as avoid any association between himself and queerness.
And of course Wat, Sani, and Chadok, who are all highlights in their own right.
The complicated and slowly-changing relationships between these characters are what drives this drama and what elevates it above many other entries in the genre. From the romance, to the friendship, to the power struggles, I simply cannot overstate how truly excellent it all is.

Of course there are missteps, most notably the depiction of a forced outing late in the show, which is brushed aside with barely any consequences for either its perpetrator or victims.
The plot also becomes somewhat rushed and muddled around episode 11.
All in all though, I personally find the good of the show far outweighs the bad and the ending is so wonderful it balances out most of the previous episodes' mistakes.

In short, this show is more than worth your time. I personally feel quite a deep connection to the story and have a lot of strong opinions on it as a result, but even if you watch it "only" for surface level enjoyment, there is a lot to love about this series.
If you enjoy tender slow-burn romances with flawed but lovable characters, brilliant acting, and just enough charm and humour to balance out the angst, then this show is for you.
If you like queer coming-of-age stories that show how being a teenager is actually pretty damn hard, or even if you're just looking for a fairly decent mystery with lots of gay sleuthing, then this show is also for you.

Good but could be much better.

4/10

-Neg:

1. Chadok Behaviour was too much.
2. The Sidecouple KhanThua was boring. There was not much showing.
3. The Kissing of the Maincouple AyanxAkk was very low and boring at the End of the Episodes. Only a few kisses were shown in the whole series of them.
4. The Rules.
5. The Teacher Dika died because of the stupid Rules. ( As far as I have understood correctly).
6. Sad that DikaChadok could not show their gay relationship in school.
7. There weren't really any Lovescenes.
8. I didn't like that the main couple kissed underwater. I imagined this in other places.
9. The Series was not implemented so well.

+Pos:

1. The Maincouple AyanxAkk
2. The Kissing of the Maincouple was in the middle of the Episodes very good.
3. Story.
4. Acting was fine.
5. It was a surprise that Teacher Dika and Chadok were a gay couple and fell in love at school.

The best series I've ever watched with no exaggeration

the eclipse genuinely changed my life and I think about it all the time and it's been almost 3 years but I will never moving on I've watched it about 200 times now and everytime I finish rewatching it I just want to rewatch it again and like the acting, cinematography, script everything is perfect and I will never get bored of it no matter how many times I watch it, I genuinely don't think I've ever loved a piece of media this much, this show is one of the best directed piece of cinema to be created and it is not praised enough everyone always skips over it like 'yeah the eclipse was good' no it was more than that it created such a deeply moving storyline that presented the sides of mental health people don't consider whilst also showing that people can change and you can have support by people who love you for that I flipping love the eclipse so much I can not and will not say it enough, I also always see people mischaracterise Akk as a bad person for what he did and leave it at that but don't take the time to understand his character, what he did was wrong but that does not make him a bad person, he was made to feel as though he had no choice by emotional blackmail and people skip over that too much, on the other hand people were so quick to not hate on Thuas character despite him genuinely being a bad person and not someone that did something bad, he took the freedom away from Akk and Ayan to be able to come out to people on their own terms and tried to justify it by 'saving the school from Akk' but decided to leave out that he continued the curse after Akk stopped. If you easily hated on Akk (someone who had no choice in his actions) but actively defend Thua (someone who knew full well what they were doing and did it happily out of their free will) then you are a hypocrite. Anyway, in summary this is one of the greatest pieces of media to come out of GMMTV argue with a wall.
