An easy watch without all the drama
I’ll admit, I didn’t have very high hopes for this show given how cheesy the title sounds, but I was relieved to see it was only 12 episodes and not as dramatic as its predecessors on the Monday/Tuesday line-up. While Oops! Mr. Superstar Hit on Me is filled with tropes and clichés, it’s an easy watch if you want to see some of the up-and-coming GMMTV actors and actresses.The plot is not terribly original, and the story goes about how you’d expect it to go. If you’ve ever watched “Kiss: the Series,” it’s basically that but with an age gap. There’s a lot of overdone clichés and tropes: ML who’s a bigshot, but immature, FL who everyone thinks she’s using a man to get power (because I guess all women are out to do that in Thailand?), sleezy ex-girlfriend (and reporter) who are sleezy because they can be, and side characters who should know better, but only make things worse.
However, there are several ways this show shines through. While the main couple doesn’t always have the best chemistry, they do have their cute moments. Frankly, until we get to the drama-filled final fourth, seeing Cake’s and Ton’s relationship develop from indifference to caring was heartwarming. Additionally, I thought the concept of “taking responsibility” was given a bit more depth than I normally see in Thai dramas. Usually, the characters just assume that’s the thing to do without really questioning the broader implications. Here, Cake and Ton wonder if “taking responsibility” really translates to love or not. Finally, this show doesn’t present the age-gap to just create drama (cough Devil Sister) but uses it to create character development for Cake and Ton.
The acting is alright for this show. Gawin is one of my favorite actors and his acting is always so emotional and natural; he didn’t fail to deliver. Pong, as a well-seasoned actor, was also very good, though I didn’t always agree with the character. The rest of the actors are so-so. For most of them, this is only their second show (Jane, Fluke, Milk and Boom) and that shows at times, but perhaps this show was perfect for their improvement.
I wouldn’t say this show was groundbreaking, but I didn’t hate it which is a success for the Monday/Tuesday line-up. Some might think the story was a bit rushed with only 12 episodes, but I appreciated the pacing. Even though every plot line isn't wrapped up nicely, the story doesn't drag on with unnecessary drama. It’s an easy watch if you’re looking for something cute and funny, just be prepared for all the clichés.

So Much Fun to Watch!
As soon as I saw the original trailer for this show, I knew it was either going to be fantastic or horrible. And I am thrilled to report that it was fantastic!!Everything about it was so much fun and so engaging to watch. The plot may not be terribly original, but it's still a fun story line to follow. I particularly loved Cake and her home life a lot, Her mom was present and supportive, and quite funny with her fangirl tendencies towards Ton! And Now— gah, I loved her so much! I loved how she ensured Cake was smart about birth control and such, and then she was SO READY to fight anyone who was mean to her friend. She was a great support character, and her little side romance with Dol was an adorable enemies-to-lovers moment.
Acting-wise, this felt pretty solid! No one really blew me out of the water, but I enjoyed everyone's performances. I thought Jane and Pong worked well as a couple in this— there were definitely a couple moments where I was swooning! I thought the development from basically strangers to awkward strangers to actually falling for each other was done nicely, and I really liked that there was even discussion between Cake and Ton about whether him "taking responsibility" for impregnating her necessarily had to equal love and marriage. While obviously this is a romance and we knew where it was headed, it was nice and felt very modern of them to not immediately decide that pregnancy had to equal them getting married.
The thing I was most hesitant about in the show was, of course, the age gap. Now don't get me wrong— I can get behind a good age gap romance! But there's a thin line between pointing out the twenty-year gap between the two of them and making it feel creepy and, like, paternal. And I thought the show handled it well. There were light-hearted jabs at how much older Ton was than Cake (her calling him 'old man', for one), but he never felt like a pseudo-father in her life or that he was using his age as power over her.
And honestly, I don't really have any big complaints about this one! It's a fun ride, and I'm glad I had the chance to watch it.

The FL is dodging kisses like ML is a slobbery St. Bernard!
This show had promise-there wasn’t as much cringe as a lot of Thai dramas, and the production, music, dialogue, acting, wardrobe, hair & makeup, screenwriting, etc..were all not that bad, either..
The age gap didn’t bother me either, as they are both adults (it’s not like he’s waiting for an 18 yr old to graduate high school so he can pounce, or something similar. They are both mature, intelligent adults with careers).
What killed any believability factor for me was that for the entire drama they had one partially shown drunken kiss, and that’s it.. Oh, a few hugs were thrown in, too.
I just don’t see a committed relationship where 2 people are supposedly newly “in love” but only share 1 kiss neither remember because both were drunk.
That smacks of no mutual attraction in real life, and this is supposed to be a drama, where we should be treated to a dreamlike, fantasy of wooing with all the feels..
But I wasn’t feeling much of anything..
FlukeMilk gave the most romance in this show in their one episode of holding hands..SMH
Too bad, because it came so close, but failed in this simple requirement for a romantic dramedy.

cringey & fake
the english title is retarded - but very suited.a fast- paced drama - way too fast to be considered serious, very Kristino Olsen style lol. everything abt the plot is wrong and cringey: a man in his 40s hitting on a girl 20 yrs younger, mother and daughter loving the same guy, the daughter kinda stealing him from mom - who loved the ML for half of her life, then the drunk sex that leads to pregnancy?
no conflict whatsoever - just two ppl trying to come to an agreement after a drunken night together.
no chemistry - the FL herself is calling the ML "old man", and it says it all!
i have nothing against age gap movies, but they could've adjusted the context to make it happen gradually or something. though Pong is a fine actor, he totally shows his age in this drama. he looks bored!! the FL is pretty, but her acting skills need improvement. also, smelling the vanilla pod and talking vanilla and drinking vanilla - flavoured alcohol is not cute at all, is just abusing an old trope. who wrote this, a girl going through puberty?

But after 5 episodes, I realized this show just has a wrong title.
It's not Mr. Superstar Hit On Me, it's Mr. Superstar Got Me Pregnant.
He is not hitting on her, he wasn't even flirting with her (if anything, he flirted with her mother a bit), she just slips into his room one drunken night and they have a one-night-stand which happens off-screen.
Then she's horrified that she's pregnant. Her mother's horrified. So, it's more gloomy than funny...
And Pong Nawat, I mean he's still cool, but he does NOT look good with Jane Ramida...
Watching episode 6, everything revolved about the girl being pregnant and that point I already lost my interest.
