For the story...it seem like a common school BL series, but thanks for adding many funny moments and sweet moments into it. Im laughing so crazy when there have sweet scenes.The chemistry among them was too best for me. For the casts....wow very cool. Joong's face and acting is very suit with KabKluen. Then his voice...soft and gentle, made me hearts melted🥺 For Dunk, he was very cute and funny in the series!! Although this is his first time to be main role in a series but his acting skill was quite good. Music....quite a nice song but i want to suggest that if can change the opening song to Joong's song named My Starlight. It might be good to have different song for opening and closing.

SO sweet I died!

Give this a chance! I realized MDL reviews tend to be really critical sometimes. Honestly, there are many times where I enjoyed the show despite the rating only 7. Similarly, sometimes high rated show isn't as good as it is, it's sometimes just hype.

This show is one of those gem that's UNDERRRATED but WORTH WATCHING!

Oh my gosh, the last episode, it's SO sweet, I died..lol

I love how simple this drama is.

No complicated plot twists, no overly done drama, no toxicity,- just pure, innocent, love.

There are moments we think they could have handled the situation better" But,Bear in mind, it's a youth love after all. I mean, they are still young and learning what love is about, so spare them some grace

Overall, I really enjoyed the show a lot, totally become a fan of Joong after this.

There's one open ending in last episode, but I guess that's because there's a follow-up show after that? I'm not sure, gotta check. Apart from that, as far as the main couple is concerned, its very well done.

Not Everyone's Favorite Star (but I loved it, so~)

Story: 8.5/10
This is another "I liked him first, but he fell harder and just happens to be dumber" situation, which can make it seem a bit predictable, but I think it's still cute~ The first few episodes start out SO STRONG. I loved the way Daonuea and his friends interacted, and the way his sibling relationship was shown; it was so heartwarming and wholesome and just overall accurate. The way they support Dao while also knowing he was full of shit when he said he was over his crush was best-friend-level-tier, you know? The conflict was a bit... much. This story, like many of BLs, suffers from a lack of communication. Well, I should say PROPER communication, as Kluen is more of a doer than a sayer, which pretty much sums up all of their problems. His actions speak louder and way better than his words, but that's not always enough, especially when the other party was explicit and you kinda-not-really-but-technically-did turn them down. If that sounded confusing to you, then that's because it really is a bit confusing. One of the side characters says that Kluen is "book smart but a dumbass," and she's right. These characters are a bit too complex to try to fit into 8 episodes, but I think Dunk (Daonuea) and Joong (Kluen) did great with what they had, which is why I, despite hating the miscommunication, still enjoyed the show~

Acting/Casting: 10/10
We got all of my new favorite actors, even the side characters are some of my favs, so I'm a bit biased here, but I think they did great with what they had. Everyone felt so necessary, even Noel, whom I thought was just an extra to show that Kluen had a friend aside from Gia, ended up being an important player in an interesting way~

Music: 9/10
The OST is good, and there's nothing wrong with the background music or anything; I generally just tend to rate music based on how many songs I absolutely NEED to get on my playlist, and, with all of these great shows coming out with their soundtracks being ON-POINT, I'm spoiled. I felt generous since everyone keeps talking shit on this show, though, so I gave it a higher rating than I probably would have.

Rewatch Value: 10/10
Despite it's flaws and the annoying miscommunication, I still really enjoyed this show. Like I said, the first few episodes were so good and sweet that I had to go to the dentist and get some teeth pulled from the cavities lmao KluenNuea's moments were fluffy and hit just the right spot that I just.. Ugh. So good. I'm actually writing this review after watching 5 times to help boost the rating since DramaList tends to be super harsh on shows for some reason~ (Everyone wishes they were a Critic Writer, I suppose 🤷‍♀️)

Overall: 9.5/10
People on DramaList really do think they're connoisseurs with shows sometimes, especially when others really like specific actors. I'm not entirely sure why, but if the rating of the show is the only thing making you hesitate to watch this, then I recommend going for it anyway. It's not everyone's cup of tea, of course, but it's also only 8 episodes, so it's a short, cute watch when you need some BL or JoongDunk in your life -- it doesn't have to be serious or something you binge, though I absolutely did binge it several times with no shame~ The production was great, the OST was good, the acting was on-point, and I just love how everyone interacts with each other in this drama, from the romance to the friendships; it's all so fluffy and sweet~

loved it!

wow! I'm in shock at all the bad reviews of this drama. it saddens me to see people not bother watching simply because others said not to. on that note, I will say that most reviews are personal opinions and should be taken that way. my personal opinion, I absolutely loved this series! I started with Sky in Your Heart which is the sequel where you see Daoneua's brother, Kuafah, get his story. That was hands down one of my favorite stories! Mek is drop dead gorgeous and an amazing actor! as far as this series goes, you can't go wrong with JoongDunk. yes, the story is one that we most likely all know. miscommunication. if you're an avid bl watcher like myself, you're bound to come across tropes. frankly, to expect high schoolers/college students to be experts at love is ridiculous. they're gonna be awkward and make mistakes. I 100/10 recommend this series and I 1000/10 recommend watching sky in your heart immediately after!

Star and Sky in my Mind

Honestly, I was excited to watch this to support JoongDunk .. Mainly Jooong as I have followed him since 2m2 and I was NOT disappointed. I loved this series and I think I am in the minority but I don't care. Joong played his character with so much feeling and expertise I adored the character - Joong and Dunk have undeniable chemistry and I would love to see them in another series. I like how reserved Khabkluen was and the one-sided love of Daonuea was genuinely heartbreaking to watch - Once all barriers were down and Khabkluen allowed his feelings to come forth I literally screamed .. I am so proud of Joong as he has been through hell and back and I for one support him and cannot wait to see all he will accomplish n the future !! JoongDunk I got you !!!

Truly a hidden gem

I wish there were more bl series like this one. No toxicity, no fake friends, no complicated story line, just pure love. Kluen is the coolest cutest dumbest character there is. Joong's acting was on point and he really stole the show. The overall vibe felt like a slice of life and the emotions portrayed were so realistic. The story was short which imo made it even better since the plot weren't dragging and each episode fulfilled its purpose. I actually couldn't get enough of the main couple's happy time when it ended. And not just Joong but the entire cast did so well in their roles. I mean I could tell what every single character was feeling right at first glance. And since they didn't give anything away about the side couple I'm really looking forward to watching their story in the second season. I usually don't like side couple' spinoffs cause they show so much about them in the main story that I could already guess the rest so getting only a few hints here and there this time around came as a pleasant surprise.
I'm glad I was able to watch such a good show. This one will definitely be in my favorites of all time.

Heart Fluttering & Comfort show.

I loved this show so much. I mean the storyline is so simple and showcased in such a grounded manner that you instantly fall in love with.

I love the cast and their chemistry is top notch. Everytime they both come on the screen my heart flutters. I also love the simplicity of their characters.

Their is no dragging, no confusions, no overdramatic scenes. They like each other, they feel it and accept it.

Side cast has also done a good job and their characters are also likeable like other persons in our life.

Well, Cool cast, the main actors are cute, well the storyline sounds cool but i mean it something we've all watched before but this has potential 😊
The intro of the series, i don't like it, the painting intro 👎👎The friends seem funny. It seems like there's gonna be love triangle 😁😁😁

It actually nice to see family faces from UWMA (until we meet again)

NÃO PERCA O SEU TEMPO

Tutorial básico de como estragar uma série: tenha uma boa premissa e execute cada vez pior a medida que o tempo passa.
Basicamente é a história de "amor não reciproco" que você descobre com o passar do tempo que não era bem assim.
Daonuea é um personagem tão ruim que eu nem sei por onde começar. Ele amava Khabkluen desde a escola e quando volta da Alemanha eles tão na mesma faculdade, então ele começa uma narrativa de que não conhece o Khabkluen e automaticamente todos os garotos estão interessados nele (bobagem pura). Ele é tão péssimo que ao longo dos episódios vai brincando com os sentimentos das pessoas que gostam dele (o que é culpa de um ponto que eu detesto em todos os romances asiáticos, simplesmente ninguém em nenhum drama sabe impor limites quando alguém gosta de você e você não gosta da pessoa, ninguém nunca diz não e se afasta).
Ele é compreensivo e ajuda o irmão e os amigos mas nunca se esforça para entender minimamente o Khabkluen revelando uma personalidade mimada e mesquinha, a cena da Gia com um um problema e ligando para o Khabkluen que obviamente ficou muito abalado com a ligação e logo em seguida o Daonuea pedindo pra ele escolher entre ele e ela é ridícula. Todo mundo tem uma chance de se explicar para ele, menos o cara que ele diz amar.
Khabkluen é reservado e misterioso e no começo isso funcionou muito bem, mas com o passar do tempo foi se tornando um pouco cansativo pois em contraste com a personalidade mimada e infantil do Daonuea causou muitos problemas.
Em geral é uma história fraca, sem personagens marcantes, com pouca química entre o casal e muitas cenas desnecessárias de brigas que poderiam ser evitadas se tivesse tido algum tipo de evolução em seus personagens (porque o desenvolvimento é terrível). Não tem uma cena memorável e as cenas de casal não me convencem, culpa da química e roteiro que elaborou cenas bobas e fracas.
