Madam Hsu is a wealthy CEO, widely respected by everyone except her rebellious granddaughter. Mr. Chen is a salesman faced with a mid-life crisis and struggles in his marriage. Lin Hui Fen is a teacher who complains about her husband constantly and resents him for letting off steam with the girls in porn videos instead of with her in their marital bed. Her father, Officer Lin is haunted by his conscience after he mistakenly shot and killed a thief on the job, suffering from insomnia and nightmares every night. Hsiao Ma, a young hoodlum who was arrested by Officer Lin, is the boyfriend of Hsu Wan Ting. Because of his criminal record, he is left with no choice but to find low-skilled labor intensive jobs and he doubts why Wan Ting would ever like a guy like him. His doubts are intensified by the question of why Wan Ting has yet to change her relationship status on social media. As high school student Wan Ting navigates her relationship with her CEO grandma, whom she thinks could never possibly understand her, her teacher Hui-fen tries everything she can to influence and care for her rebellious and stubborn pupil. All of these different characters bring the challenges of their lives into the office of psychologist Dr. Li, dumping problems onto him like taking out the trash, but little do they know, Dr. Li has yet to sort through the trash piled up on his own life and relationships.
