If you like Crime, Action it's for you
As expected from Lee Je Hoon it's a really good Action drama with a strong and witty lead character. He managed to form a great team by using the people who are kinda disaster for other but he knows how to use people. Story line is going good so far without dragging the drama.About love story they kinda rush it but I am not complaining about it. It's actually amusing for me that they let them marry early and without any hurdles. That shows the simplicity of that time in my opinion which is really good.
If you didn't start that drama till yet go and watch it. It's a recommended drama.
Let's talk about the ending which is not happen yet. I hate sad ending and for this drama it's seems like it's a definitely a happy ending. Let's talk about the rest after ending the drama.

Bringing the 1950s Crime Scenario To Your Screen
What happens when a small town policeman moves to Seoul, with dreams to make it big!Lee Je Hoon’s “Chief Detective 1958” is a rather unrushed story portraying the camaraderie between four men, who gather together to fight injustice and bring peace to the common folks. Starring alongside Lee Je Hoon, we have a formidable casting which includes Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, Yoon Hyun Soo, Seo Eun Soo. A farsighted prequel to the 1971 hit “Chief Inspector”, the show portrays the younger days of Inspector Park Young Han, a fictional legend. The storyline carefully weaves a spirit of brotherhood and companionship as Inspector Park teams up with subordinates, Kim Sang Soon, Cho Kyung Hwan and Seo Ho Jeong, all of them considered as outsiders in a police station buzzing with corruption. It was fun watching Inspector Park handle the evildoers in his own unique style; you might think he is increasingly reckless but his sense of justice is unquestionable. Let’s review the pilot episodes as we talk about the entertaining aspects of this show!
