Mini-show with the vibe of “Love Between Fairy and Devil” - in a good way
This is an amazing mini-show. The storyline is interesting and exciting. Only problem is that the limited time creates a couple of plot holes that would have otherwise helped the show feel more complete and the characters more interesting to watch. I have to reduce the rating a bit because of that. This show has the vibe of “Love Between Fairy and Devil” - in a good way I mean.
Acting wise this is one of the best mini-shows I have watched.
Even if I normally hate an open ending, this one is ok for me. Perhaps we will have the honor of a second season. I truly hope so.
So, if you like a romantic and interesting (fantasy) mini-show, this is a “Must Watch”.

If I had to compare it to regular dramas, I would, of course, find it very lacking. But for a shorty short web series? Not bad, not bad at all. Jing Yuan was so devilishly mischievous and so in love with Fusheng. Fusheng was all, "Oh, pretty men, gimme!" And Qing Chen was... well, a Victorian virgin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This was pretty much a drama about a devil and an angel in love with a goddess but the devil actually had balls and the angel was a wishy-washy dude who wanted the cake and eat it, too.
It honestly felt like a fanfic where the writer couldn't be bothered with things like world building and broader storytelling and simply picked the "good" scenes they actually wanted to write about and bounced from one to another. Too bad. It could have been a great real drama.
PS: Li Fei suffers very nicely - and a lot in this drama. Also, his eyes sparkle so wonderfully when Jing Yuan goes around, spreading mayhem.
PSS: My favorite line? When Fusheng pummeled the girl who bullied her, actually pummeled her with her fists. Jing Yuan's reaction! "Tsk, so bloody... I like it!"
For what it's worth - and though it wasn't as good as The Killer Is Also Romantic, the best short web series I've seen so far - it was a actually good one.

The actors are visually pleasing, but the performances are quite underwhelming. The special effects aren't bad. The scenes with the use of blood (blood was an artificial one that didn't convince), are very bad. The costume is beautiful. The editing is not neat and the cuts of scenes are not well finished.

Super solid Mini Series, where S2?
I’m usually not a fan of miniseries—especially fantasy ones. And fantasy is my fave genre. The plot is good! Special effects ehhh but that’s actually ok. It’s not extremely high production value but you definitely get the point. They managed to go the multiple lifetime thing in little 5-8 minute episodes and that’s pretty impressive. It was easy to watch and easy to follow.I liked it a lot. I wish it was long because I’m not sure it needs a whole second season. It could’ve used 5 more episodes and then wrapped up BUT I’m def going to watch the next season if it really happens.

Why are demons always so pretty crying emoji
I loved this so much. I mean, it is an idea and storyline we've seen before but there aren't infinite plots in the world. I was a little unhappy from approximately the 18th episode (hard to tell since all the episodes were chucked into an almost two hour film lol), but in the end, I wanted more.I really loved the costumes, the makeup and the jewelry. The CGI was.... Bad, but it did not take away from the story and there was not much CGI anyways.
I think I'll always fall for the demons, the actor is so pretty.
This is only the second short format drama I watched, I'm slowly getting used to it. But this one, this one was really good. If you're into pretty demons, definitely give this a watch.

It started well, but...
This started well, and I was really getting invested in the characters. Once I established who the ML was, I liked the pairing immediately - great chemistry between the FL & ML. The villainess is predictably disgusting, and all I want is for her and her cronies to get Karma. Good Karma. The story took a turn into confusion after the lightning tribulation bit. Did they both die? What's with the resurrection arc? How do they end up meeting again and why, if they only just end up in a hurried cliffhanger that we don't even know will be resolved since there is no indication or information about a season two!? I hope there will be. I can't stand these WTH endings.
These short-episode format dramas really need to have a tight storyline that doesn't stray from the main point. It started out ok, but somewhere around the middle got a bit confusing and repetitious (the villainess can only obsess on killing the FL so many times) and then the end feels like they ran out of time, so just cut the scene. Bam! What the heck!?!?

When you mix an illogical story and a cliffhanger into one mess
Okay, I have to admit that I stumbled upon this show weeks ago just to kill time while waiting for Amidst A Snowstorm of Love's new episode. The plot is nothing new for a xianxia drama and some scenes are rushed pretty quickly. I used fast forward and finished watching it under 2 hours.
The story focuses more on the FL and I feel that the ML got minimum screentime. There's no logic in the story and it follows typical xianxia tropes such as reincarnation, battle between immortals VS demons, and etc. The ending is a bit of cliffhanger and I wonder when will they start the second season.
The sets look quite nice plus the costumes and the headgears can be considered as decent (love the ML's hairstyle. It fits him so well). It's obviously a low-budget mini series, so don't expect too much of it.
It is an one-time watch so I don't think I will rewatch again soon.

White hat of black hat?
So what do I take out from this mini c drama? Appearances can be deceptive. That is the only thing I really appreciated about this drama: it is not important how you look but what you do. Actions speak louder than white garb you wear. I felt it like a pique to today's righteousness at judging everyone by their outside features be it creed or colour. The story about good and evil, the demons and the immortals but who is the real evil between them?? The story of star crossed lovers, dying every time they get close to each other. They are not really meant to be... but they announced that this was only season one so let's hope they'd manage to finally be together eventually without dying in the process. Or spitting so much blood! That was funny too: every time they got touched a bit too hard by the opponent, they would not strike back or fall but bend over a tiny bit and spit blood! For gods and immortals they are easily wounded!
The star crossed lovers did not have any chemistry together so maybe that was the reason they kept dying? It took some time to figure out which one of two men was the main love interest and it was unfortunately the one acting like clown (WWX like!), charming but zero credibility in romance department. Moreover, the actress looks too old compared to the actor!
The fighting scenes, the special effects, the music: the usual chinese xianxia fare pretty but forgettable. I'd probably rewatch it though if they ever make a second season!
