This Was Brilliant
I am still trying to wrap my head around how good this was. And deal with being REALLY ANNOYED that there were not 10 more episodes. Half the dramas I watch are 20 eps that should have been 12, and this one I was begging for more. There were no misses here. Brilliant writing, unbelievable acting, beautiful cinematography. The only thing it suffered from was not enough time to explore the character stories more deeply--there were clearly back stories and trauma influences and such that could have been part of the story without dragging or changing the through line at all.
I cannot say enough about Lim Ji-sub. He gives an acting masterclass here--his microexpressions, his body language, what he says without speaking is breathtaking at times. Both ML commit to the characters, commit to the truth of the love story, and don't shy from the tough parts of the story. The chemistry is fantastic, and the romance scenes deliver truth and are shot using light, music, shadow....just gorgeous.
It is a shame that stories like this aren't more mainstream. This was a showpiece for every actor involved--the secondary characters were built as real people, none of them were caricatures or just trope fodder, they struck me as real people dealing with life at this age, and I ended up caring about all of them by the end.
Absolute kudos to the writers, to the actors for taking on a role that always runs the risk of typecasting, and for making someone almost 3 times their age alternately sob, laugh and hold her breath.
Watch it. You'll love Ji-sub, you'll love the story, you'll wish there was more.

the beauty in simplicity
I had to write something about this after watching it—it completely changed the way I was seeing things. Even though it’s fictional, the way everything is portrayed feels incredibly real. Jae Won’s mental health and the way Ji Hyun perceives things and matures throughout the 10 episodes really stood out to me.The highlight is the way they connect. They don’t need words, gestures, or actions to understand each other. So much happens in the last four episodes, and even though I felt irritated at times (because the drama does cause that), Ji Hyun always understood everything Jae Won was feeling or going through without needing much explanation. If I were in his place, I would’ve given up for much less.
My favorite episode was episode 9—it gave a whole new meaning to the Conan Gray song for me.
Despite some frustrating moments, I would watch it again and again. I didn’t understand when people used to talk about this BL, but now everything makes total sense.
It’s not just a drama, it’s a feeling. I wish I could forget it just to watch it again and feel everything all over.

Skam but make it Korean (and make it THAT GOOD)
As someone who has watched most of the SKAM remakes, the OG version, and over 100 BL series, I can confidently say that this is the best show of its kind. It feels like a fusion of those two worlds—and please tell me I’m not the only one who noticed! I’m not usually a huge fan of Korean BLs, but this one absolutely blows something like Semantic Error out of the water. While watching, I kept wondering if the creator was inspired by SKAM. It wasn't a frame-by-frame copy, but the overall concept and the story felt like a constant nod to it. Does that bother me? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I’ve already watched it four times (maybe five?), and I feel like I’ll never get bored of it. Every single time, I experience it as if I’m seeing it for the first time.
Let’s be real—Lim Ji Sub’s acting does an incredible job here. However, I feel like every character and every actor complemented each other to create one cohesive picture. Despite that, Kim Ji Hyeon’s transformation was the most visible, even though Seo Jae Won’s backstory was more detailed and developed, which really helped in understanding his character.
I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the editing and "messy" cinematography. Personally, I love that atmosphere. The use of color was great—it started off all warm, and then the tones became cooler depending on the situation (even the characters' clothes!). The transitions also gave off that SKAM vibe, which only made me like it more. Amd maybe it's only me but it is worth to notice because it helps with understanding the storyline and emotions behind it.
The Music – I’m so glad there was no music in the pivotal moments, like that scene on the beach. In other dramas, I often have to mute the sound during intense scenes because the music ruins the tension, but here? When there was music, it couldn't have been a better fit.
I don’t know what else to say. I am absolutely in love, and I’m writing this review after multiple rewatches. It’s a total must-watch for all fans of K-dramas and BL. I’ll definitely be coming back to it.

worth every second to watch
I’ve reached a point where I’ve watched enough BL that finishing a series now requires something more, something meaningful. Not just chemistry, not just fan service, but a reason to invest my time. The Eighth Sense is one of those rare shows that understands relationships beyond labels. Whether straight or gay, it explores how people grow into each other, how timing, emotional baggage, and self-awareness shape connection. It reminds us that relationships aren’t just about romance; they’re about helping each other carry the weight we bring with us.
This isn’t a show driven by “shipping” or exaggerated chemistry. It simply is. And if you know, you know.
Beautifully written and acted, it avoids unnecessary hype and instead leans into quiet authenticity. There’s restraint here—less about tension, more about truth. It’s about finding the right person at the right time and having the courage to hold on.
At its core, it’s about shedding the masks we wear…peeling back the layers to reveal who we really are. And in that process, discovering ourselves through someone else.
I’ve grown a bit weary of many Thai BLs lately, searching for stories with depth. I’ve started finding that in Korean, Japanese, and some Taiwanese series and I’m glad this search led me here.
I may be late to The Eighth Sense, but in my search for something real, I’m grateful I found it.

It will suprise you
This is one of a kind drama that combine BL with another element of lifeAt first I was really surprised that they bring it in this drama, but I guess nowadays, people talk about it a lot.
It's a good surprised though. You'll say, oh yeah they bring that element to the drama, it's like never before in BL drama.
Try to give it a go if you see this.

The story is interesting and they carried the drama without being too boring it makes you wonder how the main characters might get close and the acting is superb as well i really want to watch it for the first time again its very realistic too it was a slow burn and i loved that they kissed right in the second episode but didnt talk about it the romance just kept gradually increasing there was no confessions not even i like you just mutual connection and attraction and thats how actual relationships work it portrayed it so nicely and i loved the endingWas this review helpful to you?
Heartfelt, Authentic, and Beautiful
This was a story told with heart, realism, and care. From the music to the writing to the acting to the setting, it was damn near perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who is bored by cookie-cutter stories and wants something that will continue to inspire and inform you long after you leave these characters (who, frankly, are now part of me).Was this review helpful to you?
Já assisti The eighth sense 5 vezes e nunca me canso hihi. Recomendo muito assistirem pelo menos uma vez, para sentirem a mesma emoção que eu senti 💙Was this review helpful to you?
Best, most artistic Kbl I've ever watched.
Literally heartbreaking. I loved every second of this series. Everything about this bl is good to me. I loved the music, the story, the acting and the music. The way that this was filmed is something you don't see a lot in Korean bl's. You can really see that this was made to bring out a good story and not just for fan service.
I've cried a lot. #livelaughlove

Rewatch worthy!
If you haven't seen this yet, watch it now! Im obsessed! It is so incredibly well done. Every single episode ends beautifully and the actual ending is perfect. I wouldnt change a thing. Its romantic, heart-warming, emotional, and has some of my favorite intimate scenes out of any BL. It also has really great conflict and even better resolve. It definitely gives off a more indie vibe which I love. Its a BL you will keep coming back to for sure.To get more in depth, here are some spoilers......
One of the main reasons im obsesssd with this series is due to the Actors ability to create such chemistry and emotion while doing seemigly mundane things. For example : Kim Ji Hyun bringing Seo Jae Won two cigerettes instead of just one or him handing him a ligther as he starts to walk away. Something so simple held so much emotion that it pulls you in. This happens many times throughout the series and you just can't stop watching it.
My obsession may also be due to the characters and the way the writers help you get to know them. There are no unnecessary fillers or introductions that take up whole episodes. They dive right into the story and you learn exactly what you need to in the perfect way. It's hard to explain but you'll see what I mean when you watch it.
Both the main characters have their own charms that will make you fall in love with them. Their Chemistry is also so pure that you can't help but root for them.
Their is multiple points of conflict but the resolve is sooooo worth it. The scene where they come back together after being apart is seriously my favorite.
just go watch it. seriously

All The Senses and More
A masterpiece . That is all. The story, the acting, the heartbreak, the pining, the pain all and more, full on the brim of the cup and tears that followed. I am a jumbled up emotional fool right now. This is not a BL, it is more than that. It is a queer story, it feels an art-house production, a rare phenomenon in the sea of mid shows.
I will come back to this, later. Because sometimes words can't do enough justice to some things.
