Mo Hwa is a famous shaman in a small fishing village. Mo Hwa has trained Nang to be her successor, and as Mo Hwa feels her powers declining, she starts to plan Nang's shaman initiation ceremony. Meanwhile, Mo Hwa's son Wook returns to the village after several years in the city and reveals that he is a Christian, setting in motion a conflict that will threaten her family and values she holds dear.
