Not it
It wasn't the worst, but neither was it great. There were good and bad things, but the one thing that made me really feel nothing towards the end of the series is a main character. His character is so ridiculously stupid that it made me just lost any hope, I'm sorry, but there is no better way to describe it.
At the start, I was fully on the main character's side, supporting his decisions since they didn't seem like too much at that point for me. But the further into the series I went, the more I wanted to rip the hair off my head from how actually ridiculous some things the main character did are.
Let's start with the good things, though:
1. Acting. I would like to point out the acting was actually exceptional, emotional moments were shown perfectly, and I enjoyed watching it.
2. Past. I loved watching their memories from the past of how their relationship were starting to develop. I also enjoyed seeing how much of different memories they had, and how differently two people can perceive the same situation.
3. Cute moments. Even though there weren't a lot of them, it was a nice break from everything else that was going on.
And now to the things I didn't like:
1. Father drama. I honestly didn't dislike it, rather found it unnecessary since it was short and didn't do much for the plot. I know that the series itself was pretty short, but maybe instead of only relationship drama they could've added more of the drama related to Chae Jin Hwan's father.
2. No communication. From the both main character and his boyfriend. A lot of the problems could've been resolved in less than 5 minutes if only the main characters learned to respect each other and try to fix a problem when there is one.
3. Main character. Pretty much self-explanatory, as I said before, at some point I just couldn't care less about what's going to happen to their relationship since main character seem to not care much for them too.
Honestly, as bad as it sounds, I would've personally preferred if the two main character's didn't end up as a couple. It's really rare when I feel this way, but I just think that they are really not a great fit and should not be together.

Not Doing Too Much—and That’s the Charm
I accidentally stumbled upon Business as Usual, and in my opinion, it’s so simple—I love the concept. It’s one of those easy watches, but not in a bad way. They’re not doing too much, and it flows really well. What most shows would’ve dragged out for episodes, this one clears up almost immediately—and I really respect that. It doesn’t waste time, and it still feels emotionally grounded.
I opened the comments and read reviews, and I’m genuinely baffled—because it’s not a bad series at all. Maybe that’s just me. I recently watched a lot of heavier themed shows, so this feels like a refreshingly easy-going change.
In my opinion, the chemistry and tension are very cute and natural. The acting isn’t exceptional, but it’s better than average and absolutely worth the watch.
What most people are calling issues—I honestly don’t see them. But of course, that might just be me

How Misunderstandings Can Change Someone's Life Forever
After the first episode I really had a strong dislike for Jin Hwan, but I have to say, watching the next few episodes, I was never so wrong about a protagonist like I was about this character. Without giving too much away, don't judge the early relationship of Jin Hwan & Min Jun without seeing all the facts play out in later episodes. It shows how misunderstandings can lead to so much unnecessary despair.Having a complete change of heart toward Seung Ha's character, I honestly felt he was the best thing to ever happen to Min Jun. He truly had a deep love toward him. Jong Hyeok does a great job at being miserable, but it does get a bit tedious watching him in agony episode after episode. His reasoning for not allowing Jin Hwan back into his life becomes annoying. Thankfully, the persistence of Jin Hwan proves beneficial to make a happy ending. The special episode 7 wasn't too necessary, considering how episode 6 ended, but it does cement a satisfying relationship with these two characters.

Poor Jihwan
This drama is underrated , for me in the first I thought plot was so weak , but in real life there might be a time in our lives when we misunderstand others and too broken to ask why and a guy who act as Jihwan in the last few episode he looked so broken for this situation.Overall i think it was so real, and love this chemistry even didn’t know both of them.

Surprised me in a good way.
I was not expecting much from it but what it actually offered something much deeper: a realistic portrayal of how misunderstandings, insecurity, and emotional unreadiness can break a relationship… and how honest communication can heal it.I saw people not liking this but I'm not sure if this review will help but I want you to give it a chance.
What I Loved:
1. The 8-Year Gap Wasn't Just Drama for Drama's Sake:
Both characters misunderstood each other for years, but the drama didn't villainize either. Jin Hwan admitted he wasn’t ready back then, and Min Jun was insecure and hurt. It felt like two flawed people who did the best they could with the emotional tools they had at the time.
2. Communication Post-Reunion Felt Natural:
They didn’t fall into each other’s arms right away. They talked. They argued. They listened. The conversation felt adult and honest. Both acknowledged that they made mistakes, and yeah they both blamed each other but also themselves as well.
3. The Reconciliation Didn’t Feel Rushed:
They still had feelings for each other—but they didn’t jump blindly into love. They were cautious, vulnerable, and committed to not repeating the past. That’s real growth.
4. Strong Character Development:
Min Jun, who once ran away, stayed and chose to work through the pain. Jin Hwan, who once held back emotionally, gave assurance and showed up for their relationship. Watching them evolve was genuinely satisfying.
5. Compatibility Isn’t Instant—It’s Built:
This story showed they weren’t compatible back then. Even after getting back together, they still clashed. But this time, they talked through it, trying hard to make things work.
6. Natural Chemistry & Banter:
Their arguments, small moments, and daily interactions felt incredibly natural—like two people with real history rediscovering each other. It was refreshing to watch.
Flaws?
None that stood out to me honestly—I was so immersed in their dynamic and their emotional growth.
Final Thoughts:
If you're into quiet, mature, second-chance romances that focus on earned love rather than instant sparks, Business as Usual will absolutely speak to you. It's not flashy, but it’s sincere—and sometimes, that’s even better.

K-BL As Usual
It was a promising show with a cast that served looks. The story of reconnection due to the misunderstanding built from the past was a cliche, but still entertaining at some point. However, it lacks more depth and character development, especially for Min Jun. They can give a more intriguing plot between the couple instead of the complicated trust issue that Min Jun has had since the first episode.I also feel like the handsome intern can add more spice to the story, such as inserting himself as a love triangle to the couple, or having an unrequited love for Min Jun was fine too. It feels like his character is underdeveloped.
Nevertheless, I still like this show and ranked it as an above-average (but not that highly rated) BL compared to other K-BLs aired before it. The tension of that intimate kiss and bed scene was the best thing that this drama had to offer. They devour each other like there’s no tomorrow, emphasizing how much they miss the existence of the other party. I love to see two men kissing in a BL.

Simple yet good.
Another K-BL and I'm starting to get anxious about watching them because I've seen so much bad rather than good. What I like about Korean Bl's is that they're sooo short so I can easily finish the series if it ends up being bad lmaoo. This series however, wasn't bad, unlike the others. It was simple but extremely good. I love how it strictly followed its plot and didn't add unnecessary things. This series got me surprisingly locked in. I was really curious whether or not to trust Jin Hwan and I just purely watched to see if Min Ju would forgive him just for the story to take a small turn. I just kept on wanting more of those flashbacks and I wanted to see more of the actions Jin Hwan did towards Min Ju and I kept on getting more curious.
They really left me on a cliffhanger and I just didn't believe Jin Hwan at first, he seems so sketchy and just... yeah. He just doesn't seem like someone I would trust either. Another thing to add to this is how I actually didn't expect Min Ju to forgive Jin Hwan and Jin Hwan was soooo fucking sketchy like everything he excused made 0 sense and honestly I assumed he was lying about everything.
Acting is really good, they really got me especially Chae Jong, It's sad he hasn't really been in any series or movies this year. I really look forward to see more of him. He might be the reason I was so locked in, he was truly captivating. I'm not even joking I was mesmerised at how good he acted the feelings out. What I also really liked was that he made it feel real, not the other characters (Sorry Seong). Feel like I can relate to Kim Min Ju extremely. I always have that feeling of not feeling good enough for someone. I also dated a popular dude years ago and I felt exactly how Min Ju felt, like I could be replaced any moment and I was scared he would stop liking me, but I also didn't wanna be to clingy to him.
I have read the Manhwa years ago so I don't remember much and I can't compare them but I am planning to reread it for sure to be able to differentiate between them. I do remember really like the Manhwa, it's sad I didn't know about the live action earlier.
I'm gonna be honest, on some aspects the series is good but could be improved, like more episodes and more character to the locations, but that's something I always like. Even if I think the surroundings were extremely empty I also like it at the same time because that empty love really goes well on it. I would've loved longer episodes and more in depth characters, especially side characters like the best friends of Jin Hwan. I think they didn't give us proper background information to add to that 'emptiness' but I'm just saying it would've been nice. .
I'm gonna be honest I was expecting them to get married hahhaha, but eyyy at least they cleared up their arguments.

Miscommunication galore
I thought this would be a good second-chance romance, so I decided to give it a try despite the negative reviews. However, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. The main characters were incredibly frustrating. If they had just sat down and talked through their feelings years ago, this story would have turned out very differently. Instead, they made assumptions about each other, gave up on their relationship, and then, six years later, acted as if they were repressed and heartbroken – like they hadn’t caused this situation themselves.
Once they figured themselves out, the romance became somewhat cute, and I hoped I could overlook the beginning if they were heading toward a happy ending. But unfortunately, there was more drama to come, with them repeating the same mistakes all over again.
Overall, there was too much miscommunication for me to fully enjoy this series, even though it is only six episodes long and is said to be heartwarming.
Nevertheless, I encourage others to give it a try – you might see it differently than I did!

extrovert vs introvert
Idk why people always say “why Min Jun is like that?”… actually he’s just an introvert. I understand him because I’m also like that. It’s not that he doesn’t want to hang out or understand people, it’s just that he can’t. That’s his nature. Normal people might never really get it.Min Jun is the type of person who thinks, “what’s mine is only mine.” He doesn’t want to share, not because he’s selfish, but because that’s his way of protecting himself and the things he treasures. For him, love and care are very private things, not something to show off to the world.
What I liked in Business As Usual is how the story doesn’t try to “fix” him but instead shows how someone can slowly open up when they meet the right person. His relationship feels realistic—awkward at first, but so warm when you look deeper. The drama beautifully captures how introverts love differently: quietly, deeply, and with their whole heart.
It made me feel like Min Jun is not “weird,” he’s just unique. And maybe that’s why I could connect to him so much.

The Usual
Lately, I want to cry every time I watch a South Korean BL. Why? Because I am always feeling as if I am intruding where I do not belong. Everything feels so inconvenient, dark, depressing, angsty, and most of all invasive. And no one, and I mean no one, is ever happy, smiling, or appears to be human. I KNOW that is a sweeping generalization, but I feel it deep down to my core. They are seem so repressed and unwilling, or more aptly, unable to truly be themselves. Everyone and subsequently everything feels suppressed and gets repressed. A certain righteous order and decorum must be maintained at all costs. I am not judging, honestly; merely observing. From an outsider looking in. I am frankly not sure how they define happiness or even if they could (especially sexual fulfillment). This is your traditional tropey love story. I wish I could be more creative describing it, but I simply cannot. It all wallows in the same tired old tropey trite theme of no communication and/or miscommunication. Isn't this getting old?Was this review helpful to you?

This series has a great plot
Well six episodes of a series is what most BL fans want especially when the series is short.I have watched this series in one sitting and l literally loved it.
The first 5 episodes literally build the story, they tell the problems of the couple and how their love has manoeuvred through time.
But my dear the last episode ruined everything for me. The reason that Kim Min Joon gives for refusing to date Jin Hwan is just stupid and naive. How can you let go of a love so beautiful, of a man so perfect.
I really hated the last episode sincerely speaking because they had built up my excitement only to throw it in the mud.
Anyway it was a great series just that I feel the last episode should have been better 🤔🤔🤔

Communication is important when youre in a relationship
At the 1st episode I honestly shocked in the scene and I already felt something bad will be happen as the series started in intense scene. I misunderstood Ji wan as well but if I were Min jun I will ask him directly I will ask him what's bothering me because I love him, I will not let him go without getting an answer. The result was insane, Min jun was prisoned in his past for 8 years he didnt get the peace of mind because he didnt communicate well. What I dislike about Min jun is even Ji wan explained or clear all the misunderstanding he still treated Ji wan so badly he was so selfish introvert I started crying when he said a lot of hurtful things to Ji wan without realizing Ji wan's intention is clear and shows how he really love Min jun. This series is a short but compact I couldn't ask for more but I want to see them in another series together their chemistry is incomparable and theyre suit to each other. I learned a lot from this series that i could apply in my relationship in my real life. Communication is really important to run the relationship smoothly, and if you both truly love each other no matter how long it will take, you will find each other. Was this review helpful to you?
