So boring that I struggle to remember enough to write this review
A run-of-the-mill cold CEO x headstrong employee drama. More comedy than romance.Honestly, I liked it more when the couple were enemies than when they became lovers. It became such a bore when they got together because the only thing interesting was when they were fighting each other. I grapple with the idea that it's even suppose to be a love story. They were more like siblings that always butt heads.
It was just BORING. All of the cliches but none of the chemistry to warrant it. They had the rom-com king and queen as the leads but forgot that the biggest part of a rom-com is the romance.

A cute, simple rom-con
I really enjoyed watching this k-drama, it might not be for everyone, but it is a great option when you need something light and happy that will help you disconnect, or to detox after a heavier more intense story.Even though it is really simple, with little plot or surprises, since it is pretty cliché, it is a smooth story with cute characters and some deeper stories, even if they don't dig much into them.
Overall, a good option if what you are looking for is a fluffy romance that will make you smile.

Cute Little RomCom
I've been very lazy about writing actual reviews of the dramas I watch and instead just inserting the notes I take as I watch as a "review" (which is really just a play by play of random things that upset me. lolI'm going to put my scattered notes at the end but I will say this was a cute drama. Anytime I start a new drama I have a bit of a hard time getting into the first and second episodes but this one really wasn't an issue for me.
I don't have much to say because yet again I didn't write this review immediately after finishing the show but I will say, looking back, it is very What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, and that is an absolute classic. Same type of dynamic between ML's role at work and FL's role at work. However, he's obviously far less grouchy than the ML in WWWSK. lol
Very cute drama. Could definitely see myself putting it back on down the road as a fun, uplifting watch.
NOTES:
I already love this. Him sticking up for the other guy and taking him with him. Amazing. Although I spun my "to watch" kdrama wheel and when it landed on this I was thinking it was the one with Lee Min Ho (King Eternal Monarch). I only realized it wasn't when he took the skydiving helmet off. lol
Oh wow. The boat guy runs a scheme with his mom right? Where there is "something wrong with the boat" and they're forced to go to his mom's crappy little hotel. Oh well there it is. lol
I really got lazy with keeping notes. Probably because thing's were going shockingly well for a k-drama. Every time I thought the issues were gonna kick off, there he was to fix it.
Now I'm on episode 13 and his sister has gone super b*tch and we're doing the bs lack of communication thing. She has to serve the meeting where his dad and Yu-Ri's dad discuss their marriage and he asks why she's there. Instead of saying that she was told he requested her there, of course she says some dumb stuff like, "I wonder that myself.". He clearly didn't request you.
Man am I glad he clocked her a** about the articles and fired her. However, I KNOW they are not about to try and make me feel bad for her. lmao That isn't gonna happen.
Why is grandma not losing her mind about him being the CEO's son? Wouldn't the article be the first time she learned that? Why is she not mentioning it? That's odd. I definitely would have imagined her hitting him and asking why he lied. But here we are with the townspeople being mental and grandma not really addressing it.
Him and his parents suck but I too would be enjoying them giving him hell for a change.
If she doesn't tell him what his dad said I'm gonna lose it. They've been so good about not doing the typical lack of communication non-sense.
Well, not a terrible drama in the end.

Just Enjoy the Sweetness
A chaebol son is thrust into an inheritance war. Because of this, he meets a cheerful woman who works at one of their hotels. And thus the drama begins…A case of mistaken identity leads to an awkward start for this boss & employee. But as they get to know each other, their initial feelings of irritation shift into admiration. And the man who can’t abide fake smiles falls hard for this woman who has a smile for everyone she meets.
I liked this. Yes, there were unrealistic parts but honestly - isn’t that why we love dramas? Because they’re different from reality, allowing us to escape into a fantasy for awhile.🤷🏻♀️ Anywho - while some of it was really cheesy, overall I liked it. The cast did good with the roles they were given. And the “Six Siblings” were absolutely precious. Loved the bond they formed!
The Leads are super good together. Their chemistry was whoaaaa levels of hot! 🔥 I really liked how much affection & skinship they showed. And the kisses… *swoon*🫠 I love when an on-screen couple is so great together that I wouldn’t be shocked to learn they’re together off-screen too. And this couple definitely has that level of chemistry.👏🏻
Their relationship is so healthy. They communicate with one another & never pull the stupid “I’m doing this for your good” move. They’re loyal, protective, & kind. They support one another 100%. I enjoyed watching them fall in love amidst life’s drama. True couple goals. 🫶🏻

Sort of simple refreshing take
I honestly like this drama. It was simplistic in a way, but not so much where I was bored. And they were some of those drama tropes that we see from time to time, but nothing too crazy where it’s annoying, and I honestly appreciated that. The story is engaging for the most part, maybe could use a little more “spice“ but overall I followed it pretty well. The characters were pretty great too.
FL is actually competent and at times stood on business which I loved. It’s one of the most annoying things. I don’t like about certain dramas is the FL being comically stupid, but this girl she knew what she was doing majority of the time. The ML of course, had his flaws, grumpy, a bit narcissistic, and a slight tsundre but I actually found it funny most of the time. And later when they start dating, he makes mistakes but they’re like normal mistakes. A boyfriend could make if that makes sense. Luckily no “we overlook it cause he’s hot” red flag behavior. They have good chemistry with each other and support each other when they need to. If they have a problem, they talk it out without drawing out the whole misunderstanding nonsense for three to five episodes.
I LOVE THE BESTFRIENDS. Those girls are the type of friends that I wish all female leads had. They didn’t come off as cringe or impulsive in a bad way. I was honestly rooting for all of them towards the end and they are a fantastic support for the FL, like real girlfriends should. The assistant is funny enough and he’s a good friend. He and the ML have a funny dynamic that was entertaining. I only wish that the third male lead got more character than just being into one of the best friends, but I can deal with it. Like I said nothing too wild and entertaining enough for me to be invested. I kinda like the change of pace. Good drama!

Ill-defined and unfunny
I could stare at Lee Jun Ho all day long cos that man is both gorgeous and a talented actor which is why I hope he fires whoever told him to choose King the Land as a follow-up to the enrapturing drama that was The Red Sleeve. I tried so hard to care but I was bored of the excessive and sometimes vulgar display of wealth, likewise the ingrained classism that continues to permeate most K dramas. In addition, there was something so uncomfortably trite about yet another subservient female lead and her equally poor female friends. Like, aren't these showrunners tired of this formula? I certainly am.This is deserving of a 1.5-star rating, however, the site moderators are a bit overwhelmed with the Arab Prince controversy and have been deleting anything below 3.5 stars, so that's what I'll have to rate it.

Sloppy Show
Story was tolerable but it could have been much much better. The directing was terrible, they were too lazy, they did not care how the show turned out. Very disappointed. The cast were good. I know the ML and FL and other cast members are good, however they can only do so much. The acting team could not show case the full potential due to the laziness of the production team.
There are several instances you could see that there was no effort to make a better show. Let us do the minimum and get by was the goal. If the production team is reading this review, I humbly request you to stop creating these types of shows and switch your career to something you would put some effort.

It's alright
I didn't watch the whole thing cause I got bored, and also I have a big issue with watching ongoing dramas, I began watching it when it was ongoing so I had to wait for every episode to come out, and when that happens I drop the show so fast cause if I don't binge watch the whole thing in less than two weeks I will get bored (unless I'm really REALLY invested I guess). But that's my problem, so I'm not sure if I just got bored from waiting for episodes to drop or if the drama was really that boring. Okay maybe it wasn't boring, I really enjoyed the first few episodes (1-6), they had really good chemistry and I was laughing the whole time, but to me personally it felt like they were losing the tension and chemistry so that definitely didn't help my case. At all. I don't really know what to say other than that. So for now I am dropping it (I dropped it a long time ago but anywayd), but maybe I'll continue watching it soon.Man to just put it simply, it's a big huge Meh from me. Had some potential, but lost it after 6-7 episodes. Idk, it just wasn't doing it for me.
PS: I don't pay attention to the music and OSTs and whatever, so I won't remember them unless I really REALLY liked them. So my rating on music isn't that valid tbh.

everybody is a hater
wtf is wrong with people these days. It's just a drama. Maybe they did wrong for representing Arabs that way but is not the end of the word. everybody is saying and believing something about other countries. get over it . The drama is cute and refreshing. if you do not like it , keep sulking and go cry in a corner.I need to have more words to post this sa I will talk about the cute scenes. they are amazing . I loveeeee them. The chemistry between them is amazing. The way he is looking at her

if you cant fall asleep at night
…this drama is the perfect remedy. I seriously tried to take this drama seriously, but it’s literally so boring. the leads have no chemistry. the ML is obsessed with himself, actually believes there’s no one good enough for him, and gets off on that! his narcissism is on another level, and it’s so pathetic watching. also, why is a grown man embarrassing the FL for fun in front of her superiors? it’s so childish, not cute or endearing in the slightest, and I’m over it. I’m dropping this after 5eps. I know that I should've taken more time to watch and let the leads get closer, but even a blind person can tell when somethings stupid. i'm tired, and this drama isn't anything special. Was this review helpful to you?
Overrated
I can honestly say that this drama is overrated. There are better options than this.Same old same old. The ML is a rich boy with zero personality or character depth. The FL is okay, but just okay. Typical characters, zero innovation (or even one original thought) by the writers. Felt that this drama was made in a factory - along with its cast - with how overdone & robotic everything plays out. The comedy was forced and nothing was natural. They have background sounds to force it even more which was cringy.
They def copied many ideas from Business Proposal, yet nothing like it. Can't even compare. I am sure the high reviews are for SNSD's Yoona and 2PM's Junho. Not worth the chance I gave it.

disrespectful for arabs
If you heard recently, there had been a controversy regarding this show, and you'd be right.I have been a long-time fan of Korean show dramas, having been there before its peak in the middle east, during its peak and still there as the love for it had died down a bit, but as an Arab I have to stand for how the show had portrayed our culture.
It's unfair that the only type of representation we will ever get in media is either A) Religious Terrorists or B) Rich womanizers.
To think that this show had been the most popular TV show in Oman and Saudi Arabia then ranked second in Kuwait, UAE and Jordan.
Is heartbreaking knowing that Middle Eastern Arabs are the ones who were the most excited to watch your series only to be met with yet another stereotypical insensitive portrayal from one of our favorite shows.
You should honestly feel ashamed of yourselves for such portrayal, the Arabs have been nothing but supportive of your culture and using the excuse of "everything portrayed is a work of fiction" is just lazy writing.
We are not just a "trope" to be used in a comedy driven show, you do realize that you have not only ruined our reputation in South Korea but even further to the rest of the world who already views us as religious Terrorists?
This goes deeper than just "bad writing", South Korean shows are being shown to a whole new generation of people, every bit of media MATTERS more than you think it is. Sure, you're doing this with profit in mind but that does not mean you can use this as an opportunity to divide us instead of teach. You are not above us.
Having used Anupam Tripathi, an Indian actor, to portray prince Samir, an ARAB character, just drove the point home that yes, this was all done by uneducated people who simply viewed us not as people, but as a profitable joke to them.
Get a grip and educate yourselves, seriously, it's not rocket science.
