In both the story starts with the lead getting in a car accident after a certain illegal thing happens and they end up in another dimension/time.

characters end up in the past, reliving traumatic experiences. Both dramas revolve around a female lead that investigates the case with the help of the guy, that they are/were in a relationship with.

Cold, lonely female leads trying to push away warm, nice male leads due to childhood traumas (although the degree of their traumas are immensely different) and both female leads try to heal themselves in adulthood.

Both dramas are very similar in the regards to the story. Both female leads end up in an alternative world, where they meet people, who they know in the real world, but now with different identities and lives. Both female leads suffer from a sort of "amnesia". Both investigate a case, that is the reason for their situation. Both dramas revolve around a romantic interest, that is connected to them in the real world.
The biggest difference is that Shards of Her is a more traumatic drama, whereas Lost Romance has a more lighter take on it.

They both have
- some characters who have mental illness
- a good cop who somehow involves the female lead's case, they help each other find out the truth

Not too similar but both deal with sexual assault as a theme, and both have strong female leads. Great shows.

Shards of Her and Light the Night are Taiwanese drama featuring realistic depictions of women who navigate sexist cultures while just trying to live their lives. These dramas show complex and rich relationships women form with one another. There is never a clear cut line between good / bad.
