That scene where she ran to the dead bodies of General Cheng's army, checking one after another, just to see if one of them was her father... 😭💔I am so grateful she has BuYi in her life, and his support in this situation is enormous. He doesn't complain about anything, he just quietly helps her with anything and everything and keeps her protected. 🥹He is part of the Cheng family and she is part of the Huo family — I loved them both saying those things to each other, especially as it was comforting for both to acknowledge that they are not the last ones of their families, they don't have to fight those fights alone, and they have the endless and unconditional support of each other. 🥹❤️‍🩹Everything that's happening in Tongniu County, with those convenient accidents and deaths of officials and witnesses, just hints at Lou Ben being the one behind it all (though it remains to be seen if he is working alone or collaborating with someone). 🧐And I absolutely loved how General Wan dealt with Minister Zuo! If he really goes to get ShaoShang to bring her back to the capital, I really want to see how he will NOT manage to take her away from BuYi! 🫣🤭

That was quite convenience. Everything happened quite fast. How did shaoshang get imprisoned? If Zhaoshang didn't escape and turned the palace upside down bcs of that, the General wld take a long time before he cld return. It wasn't easy feat to take back the Shouchun. So sshe actually sped up the timeline for Buyi. Well... I know it was sketchy with the way Lou Ben talked to Buyi. Niaoniao shld learn to hv poker face and not alert the enemy. Her contempt for Lou Ben was obvious. Oh my god Buyi thought the same as me too and chided Niaoniao for that skskskksks. Good Job Zisheng! Hmm... Wasn't in the romance of tiger and rose, the ML did the hand slap to the neck to make her faint too? I find it's quite interesting that it happened in this drama too but with different method. Although Lou Ben was ambitious, i think it was bcs of his uncle Grand Tutor Lou who didn't want to see his nephew to gain greater achievement than him. His attempt to subdue his nephew drove Lou Ben to do this.

It's getting more serious, heavy and dark

This episode was just so heavy. It took me a while to collect all of my thoughts. How can we not fall for our main characters?! I think this situation CSS and LBY are in just solidified their relationship in a deeper level. They connect with each other sm, understand each other and always comfort each other. I am really worried about General Cheng though. I hope he is fine. This episode just puts so much light in Ling Buyi's character and we can understand how much the revenge is important for him. He doesn't want Cheng Shao Shang to face a fate similar like he did as a child. Ughh ik further episodes are just gonna break my heart into millions of pieces.
