15 yr old marries general turned prince against her wishes and learns to love him. Love like the galaxy is more about the family dynamics and the choices we are forced to make. While The Rebel Princess is more about the political issues and power struggles in the palace. LLTG also has some political aspects specially in this part.

Both of these stories feature an unlucky female lead that struggles surviving within her upstart family. We get to know these smart and cunning female leads through childhood until her marriage. Both female leads fall for the 2nd male lead and almost marry but get separated by schemes. The cunning male leads scheme to marry the female leads and eventually are to be wed and have their fair share of a scheming family. Both of the mls are scheming and brought honor through war merits rather than the scholarly men we typically see. But war and unloyal subjects keep the leads on their toes. While these dramas have a very similar pacing LLTG is my more my style. The ml is work driven man with no time for females except for the girl he fell for at first sight. The female lead is a different kind of smart she is skilled in architecture and is not so great at studying literature. While in TSML the male lead already has children with another woman and eventually falls for the fl because she sets him on the right track. The fl is more of a book smart kind of girl with some schemes to help her in the family. This drama also puts way more emphasis on the true treatment of daughters during this time period. Both dramas have an excellent cast and are worth the watch.

- the leads are both extremely intelligent and the only ones who can outsmart each other.
- the female lead is also the daughter of a famous general in the army and the male lead is a smart and powerful captain in the army.
- the chemistry between the leads is top-notch. they’ll give you all the feels
- the costumes are beautiful and the scenography is captivating. i loved how the used the lights and there’re some beautiful scenes with fireflies and lanterns.
- the OSTs are beautiful and on point.
- the story is captivating, full of plot twists and with no plot holes.
- the mom of LLTG’s FL here acts as the previous crown princess.
- I’d rewatch it over and over again

Both are historical dramas, that take place in the palace. There are politics and intrigues involved.
ML
- Both MLs are the best warriors in the country.
- They are pretty cold at the surface but really considerate and loving when you get to know them.
- They both fall in love with the FL first and would do everything to save her.
- The MLs have a close relationship with the emperor.

FL
- Both FLs are naive and childish initially, but they become strong and independent women.
- They go through hardship and that experience will sharpen them.
- It takes some time for the FLs to fall in love with the MLs but when they fall, they fall hard.

Both shows are period dramas revolving around court intrigue, but are also hilarious comedies. Both shows' female/male leads are very unique, funny, and adorable who are also deep, thoughtful, and clever people.

"Moon Embracing the Sun" is a Korean drama that has the same fire and chemistry of "Love Like the Galaxy". It shows how two people are loyal to their hearts. Both FL and ML are extremely smart and kind people at the core and remain unchanged throughout the drama.

Both original novels of these two series carry quite realistic, dark and gory undertones. Like it would depict deaths, murders and corpses in a shuddering, gruesome manner (for both bad guys and good guys alike). They censored and tone down this aspect of the story when they adapted them into TV dramas, but they still try to show/hint at the darkness in the characters and story.

Both series were very closely adapted from their novel version, so I believe this is one of the many reasons why they became such a hit.

The difference is one is bromance/boys' love while the other is romance. One is wuxia and the other is not.

Mandatory to watch the first part of this series otherwise you won't understand anything in part 2, so kind of a given recommendation.

SIMILAR GENRE: slice-of-life/ romance/historical/humor/comedy/ ensembl/ bad-ass-female-lead/ character-development
Both of them has similar Ensembl genre( realistic generations of family interactions and dynamics). Both of them have romance spiced with humor. In Nothing Gold Can Stay romance is not the main element, it heavily focuses on a particular time in old China(? guess it is around industrial evolution). Both Main Female Leads are very strong and steadfast in their character. Good costumes, cinematography, very good acting, and a fabulous storyline. MFL in both dramas has their own thin, while CSS is good with machines Nothing Gold Can Stay's lead is good at being merchant/trade (it is like a war of business and because it is small business at the beginning its is easy to relate)

In the sinful city of Heyang, Pan Yue, who was throwing lots of fruit and carts, married Yang Cai Wei, whom everyone despises. On the day of the wedding, Yang Cai Wei was killed, and the suspect was Pan Yue. Yang Cai Wei, who "resurrected from the dead", returned "fiercely" under the guise of "evil girl" Shangguan Zhi and was about to expose Pan Yue's true face.

In the process of bravely fighting against the evil forces of the "Four Great Clans" and investigating old cases, the two hearts came closer again. Yang Cai Wei found out that the real murderer who killed her was someone else, and Pan Yue loved her deeply from beginning to end. Everything is about to be perfect, but the people behind the scenes once again set up a trap, trying to push the two to an end of doom.

Never made a recommendation before, but I feel like you would like Under the power if you like the good vibes the leads in love like the galaxy give. We can' t compare budgets, but the story and leads are equally captivating. What make me get over Under the power was love like the galaxy!
