A person who will accept and protect you
I've had the pleasure of indulging in numerous c-dramas, yet this particular one has gripped me like none before. The seamless blend of exceptional acting and a captivating narrative has bestowed upon me an unparalleled connection. This drama's authenticity is its crowning glory, as it presents a tale that resonates naturally, tugging at heartstrings. As a man, you find yourself yearning for an encounter with someone akin to Zhizhi. Her character embodies qualities that transcend the screen and evoke a desire for such a genuine connection in real life. The profound impact of the characters doesn't end there - their journey serves as an inspiration. For those navigating life's challenges, this drama becomes a compass, pointing towards profound realizations beyond mere affection. It is a guide that emphasizes the significance of assuming responsibility for one's life and choices.
Focusing on the male lead, his journey becomes an uplifting beacon for viewers like myself. Witnessing his strength in confronting adversities resonates deeply, encouraging us to confront our own trials with newfound courage. This drama possesses the remarkable ability to empower, stirring an innate strength to tackle life's hurdles head-on.
In essence, this drama unfurls as a vivid green flag, signifying positivity and promise. It's not solely about love, but a holistic revelation of life's intricacies. The storyline's intricacy and character development are testaments to its brilliance. With every episode, it cultivates a sense of admiration for the creators' dedication to crafting a masterpiece that touches hearts.
Summing it up, this drama isn't just a series—it's a journey. A journey that leaves an indelible mark through its characters, their growth, and the reflection it sparks within us. A journey that encapsulates genuine emotion and life's realities, teaching us to embrace responsibility, endure challenges, and cherish the connections we forge. A journey that resonates far beyond the screen, lingering in thoughts and conversations long after the final scene fades.

Simple but amazing
Modern Cdramas are either hit or miss especially romcoms as they tend to be cheesy and cringey. This is a bit of unexpected surprise. It is simple but executed and told well. The chemistry between Zhao Lusi and Chen ZheYuan is so natural and organic. Their brought their A+ game.Although the first 6 episodes is somewhat slow but it does pick up after and their story becomes magical. When Sang Zhi meets DJX again in his city where she attends university, SZ secret love is no mote, it’s out in the open for DJX to uncover.
Highly recommended. You won’t regret

Best cdrama I've watched in recent years
I'm in a kdrama slump and turned to cdramas recently. Hidden love was a pleasant surprise, 100% romance plot with very swoon-worthy ML. Character growth of FL was also nice to watch. Would recommend if you like romance dramas. Something that is light-hearted with no weird or frustrating or angst plots.Although the beginning can be a bit of a slow burn till ep 12, but it is necessary for the build up of both characters, such that the romance wasn't too abrupt and well-cultivated(?).
Also, the OST was an added plus!

The best cdrama
I just finished it and I loved it so much 🥺 It’s a slow burn love and it’s really perfect. All the characters are amazing, I’m in love with Jiaxu. Sang Zhi and Jiaxu are green flags and I love that.AMO TODOOOO.

Pure love and trust
Love in all phases. From admiration to crush to puppy love to romantic love and mature love. The purity of the love and trust of the FL to the ML is really heartwarming. And the ML is truly captivating as he navigates from an older friend's affection to a deeper and more mature love.
Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan have perfectly portrayed their roles.
I've watched it a couple of times already and it still gets to me. The smiles, the tears, the romance, everything.
I hope Lusi and Zheyuan will have another drama soon.

However I must say this is a very great drama
The story is totally sweet, the FL & ML chemistry totally awesome and without any over react evil / bitchy character
I love the sweetness of the FL & ML and love the FL family chemistry
This is the best drama other than
The music & ost is also great
This is so far my No. 2 favorite drama all the time (Number 1 is still "The Centimeter of Love" for me personally)

um.... it was ok
first of all, i hated how the female lead was acting like a 5 yr old at 16 💀 and that is a problem i have with a lot of these romance cdramas where the fl is cringe and acting like a child. it got a bit better later on but i also hated the age gap 😭 ik that this is the trope and they got together when they were both old enough but it was so weird knowing they met when she looked 8 (when she was 14) and he was 19 like what. and then it felt weird that he started catching feelings and i also didnt care for the romance. the plot itself was lowkey a snoozefest as it drew into the latter half of the episodes like there was no need for like 30 episodes. all in all, kind of boring imo tropes just were not for me and didnt rlly like either of the main characters but give it a shot if you want ig?Was this review helpful to you?
A light-hearted and feel good series!
Sometimes in life, I just want to watch something light-hearted to comfort myself and feel good. This series will always be my top choice for that. The storyline isn't complex—there are no major twists or turns—but it's a beautiful, heartwarming, and non-toxic drama. I love stories about relationships and family, and this one is touching. I enjoyed every single episode. I slightly deduct points for Zhao Lusi's portrayal of a high-school girl using a baby voice, which I felt wasn't necessary. Overall, the chemistry between the lead actors is so great and I hope they star in more series together. The sibling dynamics are hilarious as well. Moreover, the OST is lovely; all of the songs are my favorites! Was this review helpful to you?

Great! Great! Great!! drama
I rewatched this drama today, and it was as exciting and fun as it was the first time I watched it. Although, I do understand the criticism this drama got when it first got released and I still understand the perspective of their opinion and personal understanding, this kind of genre/ story might not be everyone's cup of tea. But ME? I eat it up lol. I will highly recommend this drama to people who like age-gap, brother's best-friend, and no third person drama, just like me. Both male and female main characters are two of the biggest green flag I've seen in my drama history(i.e 7yrs btw). Visuals are great, the OST is a bop, pacing is great too. I very rarely give 10 on 10 in any of my watch. The last 10 i gave to a drama was 'The Untamed'. So this is definitely the best(10 on 10). Give it a try guys. Was this review helpful to you?
Falling crazily in love with Hidden Love
Where do I even begin? I mean, MDLers far and wide got to witness my complete meltdown from heart palpitations while watching this drama. I could not keep it together to save my life! Don't look at me! Pay no attention to the Noir under the blanket, giggling and screeching at 11:30 p.m.!The way their relationship and feelings slowly shifted and developed over time was so lovely, sweet, and respectful. My heart felt full. I truly watched them grow as people and as a couple, supporting and protecting each other. I can see them teasing each other and leaning close, wrapping their arms around each other, looking for comfort after a long day many years later.
I would be remiss not to mention how much I appreciated and liked how the drama started with Sang Zhi having a harmless crush as a child with no sign of Duan Jia Xu noticing, let alone influencing her to like him romantically. Can we say easily non-problematic? Yes! We like that.
Not to mention, their relationship dynamic was simply overflowing with caring and joy from caring for the other person. Let me also just say that Duan Jia Xi was so attentive and proactive in how he pursued Sang Zhi once he finally did. He put himself forward, yes, but respected any boundaries she set. Likewise, Sang Zhi wanted him to open up to her but never truly pushed for him to explain everything he went through to her. This is what we call mutual respect and understanding.
Also, just a side note: THE CONSENT?! I perish! Not only did Duan Jia Xi ask for consent just to hold her hand—excuse me while I shove my pillow in my face and scream—Sang Zhi also asked for consent and regularly checked in and expressed her desires and comfortableness despite her nerves.
In conclusion, I fell absolutely madly in love with this couple's love. If you are wary of C-Dramas like I have been in the past, are a slow-burn romance lover, and/or simply want to watch something light and fairly low-angst, give this a chance.
