No Middle Ground - Love or Hate
This is not a romantic comedy, its important to know this going into it. There is at best a touch of romance, so be prepared.Additionally, there is little in the way of middle ground with this drama, you will either love it or hate it based on how you view Eun Mi as a character.
She is either the heroine of this story or someone who should be criticised for many of her actions. I will be perfectly honest whilst I recognise her strengths she is certainly isn't a likeable character to me.
The premise of this drama is built upon the relationship between Eum Mi, the mother and Jin Hee her daughter. Eun Mi gave birth to Jin Hee as a teenager and raised her as a single parent. The synopsis for this drama states they literally grew up together.
This is where my problem starts, the suggestion that Eun Mi ever really grew up. Yes, she raised her baby, she worked incredibly hard to provide for herself and Jin Hee, but did she ever really grow up? For me, no, her attitude and behaviour still resembles that of a teenager and not a 40 something year old woman. Whilst this wouldn't be the worse thing, it does manifest negatively in her relationship with Jin Hee at times. Jin Hee often needs to be the parent in the relationship with her own emotions often ignored by Eun Mi. Eun Mi thinks little of the consequences of her actions, often leading to problems for Jin Hee. Jin Hee's feelings are often secondary in their relationship
The introduction of Jin Hong, Eun Mi former boyfriend and Jin Hee father only complicates the situation further. Eun Mi quickly rushes into renewing her relationship with him, forcing Jin Hee to accept this relationship, yet she doesn't like the idea of father and daughter becoming close. Whilst all this is going on Jin Hong and Jin Hee seem to be circling each other, unsure how to approach each other. Jin Hong in both his relationship with Eun Mi and Jin Hee is either too passive or at times simply weak.
I also didn't like that very little attention is given too Eun Mi failure to share with Jin Hong that he had a daughter. This was glossed over far too quickly.
Jin Hee does have a romantic interest in Jae Won who is also her superior at work. Unfortunately very little is done to really develop their relationship until the final few episodes and even then it was pretty limited. Park Sung Hoon was criminally under used as an actor in this role.
My final issue with this drama is the last 2 episodes. They don't entirely fit within the context of the previous 10 episodes. We had seen little in the way of growth from Eun Mi and yet suddenly she was a more mature individual.
I think this same story could have been told, keeping the humour, the unique Eun Mi character, yet also showing some growth as an individual whilst also allowing her relationship with Jin Hee to evolve as well. Instead I found Eun Mi admirable qualities too often overshadow by her negative traits and when her relationship with Jin Hee did evolve it didn't feel natural.
Sadly I didn't enjoy this drama in the way I hoped, the funny moments soon became less funny and I was left with a dislike towards Eun Mi and a sense of sadness towards Jin Hee.
For me the the final two episodes were unable to erase the events in the previous 10.

From wonder to worst
Drama started very well and then it went down hill from the momentat start mother look cool and modern woman but at end she is still same slut what she was in her high school days
ML and FL has no chemistry at all male lead is so indifferent until ep 6, no they will force them into couple in half drama what is left i can already see that would look forced
Mother meet her lover that run away after impregnating her but she just start woo an old man like he is some idol star
how FL was abused by her Horny mother..... was shown something light comedy
once she even try to sexually exploit her own daughter by pulling her into bathtub together without her consent (if that mother was a father this would be a big issue)

what is So great about this MOTHER she isn't strong single mother, but a depended who accept any man, doesn't have ant standard for men,
This woman shown as Mother in this drama is making joke of single mother and is great insult to all those real Independent women
A 50 year man is talking like a 15 year old, they were teenager when they had kid but now they are middle aged people but acting like they aren't matured yet, do director stole this script from elementary school kids bag
FL is most un professional cop ever, that's something is right about this drama they portray how useless and unprofessional Korean police is( kudos)

Not others :-A happy ending
The first two episodes didn't catch that much attention but from the third episode this drama became interesting. It comedically explained many controversial social issues and wrapped up with a happy ending.The story was good with a punch of comedy.
The actors acted very very well, as if they were not at all acting it was that much natural.
The OST was so so.

This drama was a pleasant surprise. It's not that common to see a kdrama that has as leads a single mother and her grown daughter, mostly because of the stigma this kind of family stills carries in South Korea.Thankfully, Not Others manages to not make it all about the stigma of teen pregnancy or single motherhood, it finds a good balance between every day life events, criminal investigation and rom-com. Particularly because Mom and Daughter are so unbothered by it that they carry on with a "it sounds like a you problem" when someone points out they are, within their society, wildly unconventional.
At the heart of it, there's a story of two women making their way in the world through hardships, love and growing pains. About how it's possible to choose your family and make that unit be whatever you want, not what it's expected.
My favourite part of this drama was the performances. Jeon Hye Jin and Soo-young shine as the outspoken Mother-Daughter duo. Their characters are kind, smart and brave about their live choices. They have great chemistry with each other and make you feel everything.
The rest of the cast delivers solid support. Kim Hye Eun plays the rich, cool aunt and she's a hoot in every scene she's in. Park Sung-hoon in a great counterpart for Soo-young and Ahn Jae Wook delivers as the lovable fool supporting whatever his ladies wish for in life.
There's also a murder mystery surrounding the central story that manages to keep it all very centered and makes all the characters interact with each other making their world better developed.
Don't miss out on this found family! Their affection it's the real deal.

Good Enough
Korean Drama " Not Others " is the story of a mother and a daughter and their relationship as they go through changes and hardships. And between romantic misunderstandings and funny cohabitating endeavors, there lies a criminal case yet to be solved.The drama overall is a fun ride. The relationship between the two main leads is enjoyable, funny, and often bittersweet, but the highlight of the drama nevertheless. Their chemistry is also spot on.
The romance, in addition, is entertaining, but, thankfully, gets overshadowed by the main relationship of the drama, the mother-daughter bond.
The crime mystery, on the other hand, was interesting at first, but lost its momentum quickly. But, it served its propose on getting the two main characters together and enhancing their bond.
The performances, finally, were smooth.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Amour vache entre mère et fille
Ce n'est pas un thriller ni une comédie romantique à proprement parlé. Lee Min Woo jongle continuellement en ajoutant du drame familial, mais ne reste jamais sur un seul genre à l'écran.Tout en offrant une dynamique forte à son duo principal, Eun Mi (Jeon Hye Jin) et Jin Hee (Choi Soo Young), le drama explore la relation entre une mère et sa fille alors qu'elles n'ont que seize ans d'écart. L'une est une quadragénaire kinésithérapeute, l'autre est à une année de la trentaine et policière rétrogradée. Dès le premier épisode, le ton est donné quant à la dynamique du duo.
Au fil des scènes, on voit le scénario se renforcer car il s'intéresse principalement aux deux femmes. Les autres personnages sont clairement secondaires et n'ont que pour utilité de faire avancer l'intrigue. Pour ces raisons, la romance est boudée et n'apporte que peu d'intérêt au personnage de Jin Hee. En parlant de Jin Hee, si elle est la plus jeune, elle est pourtant celle qui tient les rênes. Cela dit, Choi Soo Young assure jusqu'au bout avec son style décontracté, mais intense (et voir ses personnages péter les plombs m'amuse toujours). Et c'est là qu'un autre problème se pose, Eun Mi.
Eun Mi est une femme dans la quarantaine qui agit comme une ado rebelle en permanence. Comme si défier sa fille était un jeu. Crise d'ado ou de la quarantaine, chacun son choix. Cependant, il est difficile de voir Eun Mi autrement que comme une femme capricieuse et égoïste qui, malgré elle, prive sa fille de sa liberté. Même le final laisse un goût amer quant aux chemins qu'elles empruntent. Jusqu'au moment où elle doit changer, mais le processus s'inverse d'un épisode à l'autre nous faisant ainsi perdre tout l'intérêt du personnage de Eun Mi au départ.
Le reste des personnages étaient excellents. De Park Sung Hoon à Ahn Jae Wook ainsi que Kim Hye Eun et le reste du poste de police. À la fois drôle et mignon.
Malgré ses défauts, Not Others est un drama coloré avec des personnages décomplexés et sympathiques ainsi qu'une jolie morale sur les valeurs et l'importance des liens (de sang ou de coeur).

Una storia ordinaria.
In certi momenti mi sono annoiata. Una storia piuttosto ordinaria senza grandi emozioni ne fascinazioni.Come succede spesso nei drama coreani , anche se sono più coinvolgenti e interessante di questo, la fine ha un senso incompiuto o comunque deludente.
Gli attori sono simpatici e alcuni belli, ma non sono rimasta entusiasta della loro recita.
Mi secca anche che le scene a tavola sono troppo ricorrenti.
Gli ambienti delle scene sono sgraziati.
I dialoghi della sceneggiatura sono abbastanza ben costruiti ma la regia toglie loro mordente. Forse la pecca maggiore in questo risiede proprio nella regia insipiente.
La sigla di inizio, con quei cartoni disegnati è vacua e le canzoni , non le trovo particolarmente belle.

Una mamma per amico in stile coreano
Questo drama prova senza dubbio che io non capisco molto l'ironia o la comicità coreane. E cI sta siamo culturalmente lontani, e molte cose inserite in questo drama per fare ridere o sorridere io le ho trovate...strane o di acttivo gusto, o mi hanno ditsurbato non so come spiegarlo. Niente che mi abbia fatto inorridire siamo chiari, ma tutto questo mettere le mani addosso, e altro....mi ha infastidito sinceramente così come la scelta di far vedere alcune cose che io non varei motrato sinceramente.Di base doveva essere ed è un drama su una madre e una figlia tipo Una mamma per amica, dove la madre ha avuto la figlia molto giovane ancora alle superiori e ha dovuto crescerla da sola tra varie difficoltà, ma ora sono amiche vengono scambiate per sorelle, entrambe hanno delle migliori amiche fantastiche, e nel drama troveranno o ritrovaeranno pure l'amore tra varie vicissitudini più o meno normali e quotidiane. Il fatto che la figlia faccia la poliziotta rende più interessante il tutto e soprattutto la trama, le due coppie lui e lei mi sono piaciute con le loro dinamiche e molto. Il ritorno del primo amore per la madre e l'amore-odio tra la figlia e il suo superiore mi hanno convinto. Ma molte cosette come dicevo mi hanno infastidito o non le ho intese come andavano intese, e ripeto c'è molto mettere le mani addosso in diversi sensi o trovate per me non divertenti. Hanno fatto bene a farlo durare solo 12 puntate, io l'avrei ridotto pure a 10 perchè non c'è tanta trama che riempia tutte le puntate. Nel complesso non posso dire non mi sia piaciuto a tratti, ma se non l'avessi visto non avrei perso nemmeno nulla direi. Però tenete conto che io non amavo particolarmente nemmeno Una mamma per amica, l'ho guardato, ma non lo adoravo, perciò forse non è il mio genere. Non so. Una cosa è certa, per favore basta drama con ladri di mutandine please.

fun mother-daughter relationship
Ini drama agak vulgar ya wakakaka, episode awal nya aja langsung disuguhin kejatuhan pantie, tapi anehnya ga panik gitu, kayak biasa aja, si cowonya juga ga shock. drama ini juga lucu, aku tertawa beberapa kali dan ya aku menikmatinya. drama ini benar benar terfokus ke hubungan si emak dan anaknya. kebanyakan bertengkar karena umur juga ga beda jauh, tapi mereka itu langsung bisa baikan gitu. anak menghargai ibunya, ibunya menghargai anaknya.ini kalau ada awards drama paling santuy, yang satu ini bisa jadi pemenangnya. eunji ketemu ayahnya untuk pertama kali tapi reaksinya ga sehisteris yang aku bayangkan dan emaknya juga ya kayak santai aja bilang ke eunji nya.
Misteri di drama ini kurang, aku ngerasa ga perduli sama pelakunya gitu, jujur yang aku tunggu tunggu itu kisah romantis dr eunji sm si cowo dan kelawakan siemak-anak itu. ceritanya ga plottwist-plottwist amat krn kayak uda ketebak, mereka juga ga nunjukkan ekspresi terkejut nya kalau si pelaku adalah penjaga warnet itu. romance di drama ini kurang, harusnya bisa ditmbah biar ga terlalu boring.
Dan endingnya, jujur gemes banget kenapa tiba tiba mau worldtour? setahun pula. aku ga terlalu suka gimana drama ini berakhir, ya walaupun semuanya disini jelas, hubungan mak sm pacaranya dan hubungan anak sm pcarnya, cuma kayak ada yang kurang gitu. aku marathon dua hari dan pas ending langsung ngucap 'udah, cuma gini?'
sebenarnya ga terlalu worth to watch si, tapi kalau kalian punya waktu luang yang banyak ga salah juga buat nonton drama ini

Mãe e filha
O caos dos primeiros episódios entre a prota a mãe e o policial, foi muito divertido! Amei o jeito moleca da Jin Hee e como ela é o Jae Won, o romance se desenvolvendo aos poucos cada ep, pena que não focaram tanto neles. A mãe é um tanto egoísta e não tinha química com o pai. Z ogromnym zaciekawieniem śledziłam losy bohaterów. Podobały mi się postaci matki i córki, przebojowe kobitki. Niczego nie owijały w bawełnę. Ale zakończenie...rozumiem, Europa jest piękna, warto tu przyjechać, sam pochodzę z Europy... Generalnie, wszystkiego trzeba się domyślić. Jestem nieco zawiedziona. Nie chcę, by na talerzu podawano mi rozwiązania, ale samolot i lody to za mało jak na zakończenie. Bohaterowie męscy, mam na myśli policjanta i ojca, tacy nijacy, pantoflarze. W tym serialu kobiety wymiatają, rządzą. Dyrektor kliniki niezbyt atrakcyjny, ale sympatyczny. Było wiele wesołych scen. Miłość do jedzenia podkreślana krok na kroku. Miłość do butelki soju też.
