The hero has worked as a janitor in a bank for 20 years. On his birthday, his colleagues at work call him "chief" to make him happy. After that moment, though, he starts passing himself off as a real chief. One day, the father of his future son in-law visits him at work to talk about the marriage of their children, and of course he pretends to be a chief, causing him to be fired by his boss and in turn causing the dissolution of his daughter's engagement.
