Lighthearted and fun fantasy story
This is a funny and enjoyable mini-show. The storyline is simple but there are different layers to the story if you watch carefully.I love ML who has been alienated all his childhood. Watching him open up and fall in love with FL is so heartwarming and touching.
FL is bubbly and kind. Even if she is a bit oblivious when it comes to her own feelings, once she realizes she’s in love, she goes all in.
Acting wise this was an ok show. It is kind of hard to say much more than that because the show was very lighthearted and borderline silly. That might be the reason there was sometimes dialogue and behavior that was silly.
Well, if you like something lighthearted and fun - with a little bit of food for thought and a happy ending - this is actually worth watching.

Short, Cute, and Funny
I really enjoy this drama. It is short, cute and funny, with it's cheap special affect you will still enjoy it. It is not a drama to take serious in subject but it is really cute. The chemistry between the leads and all the characters make it the story line adorable. The leads are great together and I like all the comedic lines that you have to listen, because they are the sidekick of some of the scenes. If you want to spend time with friends or a special someone this is perfect. It takes a short time to see all 30 episodes about 3-4 minutes long. You will find the story funny and romantic, with a bit of action. The actors performance was great and I even enjoy the story.Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing story, handsome ML
I enjoyed this drama so much. Amazing story, with so many funny scenes. ML is super handsome, and FL is cute, clumsy, funny, sometimes too forward (for my taste), and clueless. Eventually, she listens to her feelings and realizes she loves him back. No love triangles, which is amazing too.I wish this show had more episodes or a second season.
Also, more slow motion while kissing or hugging would be great.
I expected ML to have blonde hair like on the poster (like his father), but that does not happen... too bad, because he looks perfect with that hair color. And FL would look good in some other dresses, she has an amazing figure and posture.
Acting at times was weird, but mostly good job.
We need a second season PLEASE.
Also, we need Lin Shi Jie in more dramas.

Cute, lighthearted fun
This is just what the title implies. This story is uncomplicated with a cute romance. I found myself liking the characters, and loved the ML & FL. (I love these brooding male characters whose hearts soften after they fall in love). A few holes in the story, but not enough to spoil the drama. The villains were despicable - meaning that the actors did a good job in portraying them, and everybody got their comeuppance in the end. I love a happy ending!I would probably watch this again because despite having 30 episodes, it is the short-episode format which I really don't like, but that is becoming more popular (unfortunately). I wait till they are all strung together in one complete format, because I hate having to endure the opening/closing credits every time.

One of the better 'shorts'
I found this drama, which I call a 'short' because of it's short length, quite enjoyable to watch. The comedy bordered on what's called slapstick, especially the villain and his minion. The Second Prince (SML) could be annoying at times with his wailing, but I found the main couple quite likeable, and both were a decent actor/actress, whom I could see eventually landing a supporting role in a bigger budget film. ML was more beautiful than handsome (his lips, delicate nose, even eyes reminded me more of a female than a male), and I wish I could see him without the long Dynasty hair (I guess I'll have to look up the actor to get a picture of him with a modern hairstyle). FL was one of those rare actresses that actually look better with her hair long than up in a bun - I think because her ears protruded slightly. Her character was spunky and just a tad too cutesy for me - unlike Chinese men, I find nothing attractive about pouty women or baby talk. I prefer the personality of the SFL, but FL was likeable enough since she didn't overdue the 'cute'. Unlike a lot of these 'shorts', the supporting cast were decent actors/actresses as well, and if some gestures seemed overdone, I think it was intentional to emphasize the slapstick comedy. The only thing I couldn't figure out was why they called FL the 'second wife or concubine' in the beginning since ML wasn't married. I suppose it means that the first wife position is still open. Also, he was supposed to be the demon emperor and yet he's living with his emperor uncle...I guess because he didn't have this demon emperor powers yet. Just a little confusing but it didn't distract from the overall drama.I don't think it's worth re-watching, but it's definitely something worth watching if you want something you can watch quickly that's light and amusing.

Light & Fun to Watch
Minus the street fighter style of fighting which was really cringe worthy. This drama is such a light and fun one to watch. The chemistry between the leads is there, the drama has an actual storyline albeit a light one, and there is even growth for all the characters. It also doesn't hurt that both MCs are good looking and very easy on the eyes.Maybe just another point for improvement is the acting. It seems like the leads are all just newbies. Other than that, this is a great show to watch to past time and still feel good.

Short but sweet
This is such a cute show. I really enjoyed it. It's funny and the ML and FL have awesome chemistry. The ML is also very pleasing to the eyes. One of my favorite scenes is when his face is revealed to the busy bodies who were teasing him for wearing a mask, assuming he was ugly. They really got a surprise. Lol Watching them fall in love is so sweet. The villains are funny as well especially the Demon Prince's flunkey. Lol He's a scene stealer. The Street Fighter style fight scene was genius. ?? I wish they'd shown more of the Demon Emperor's parents backstory but I get why they didn't it being a short web drama. I've rewatched it several times. I just have one question
So I loved this series, it's short, but it still manages to have a story line that you can follow. Yes the fights are a bit quick (assuming budget) but if massive intricate fight scenes are you thing maybe go for 'The Untamed' if you are looking for a cute, easy to watch, not super stressful romance series, this is perfect for youHighly recommend and it's not hard to watch the whole thing in one go.
There is just one thing that bothers me......
Why is it the ML's father on the posters?
His father had white hair, and he has black, and it's not his mum with him either.... So the poster is a portrait of a father and daughter in law ?

Borderline slapstick
The characters are a modge podge group of mixfits. Cursed at birth ML because mummy and daddy broke the stupid rules of heaven and dared to fall in love. Matchmaker wantabe FL becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy falling for her first "client". Inept villain with a speak impediment covets what he has no hope of controlling. Side characters were entertaining especially ML's cousin, the crown prince, and ML's female guard.The chemistry was good between the leads. Special effects were literally laughable, they were so cheesy. Soundtrack was unmemorable.
