Father of the Milky Way Railroad

This movie from 1996 was commissioned to mark the centenary of Miyazawa’s birth, attempts to tell the story of Kenji Miyazawa, set as it is against the backdrop of rising militarism.

It has pretty similar life lesson in term of the importance of a family member in life. Both drama are masterpiece
