TWISTED PRINCE TRYING TO USE THE FEMALE LEAD..
THIS DRAMA HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND FELL SHORT SO BADLY! Romance I give it a 10/10 , but the storyline and development is like a 5/10. The first half is pretty good but then it starts too get repetitive and the last few episodes got me super confused and puzzles. They try to fit too much stuff into the last three ep, not sure if it was an editing mistake but I couldnt follow with the flow of the drama.Female lead is the evil prince's subordinate and does things for him. The male lead is the subordinate of the King and his parents were frame for something they didnt do resulting in them being killed. The evil prince hates the male lead and wants to do everything in this power to weaken his forces and at the same time try to prove himself to his emperor daddy.
The evil prince is just to0 abusive and let him have too much of the limelight, to a point where it didnt really make sense.
The female has this sickness that only the evil prince can provide the medicine for.
To be honest only watched it for the steamy kissing scenes but beside those this drama is skip worthy, really thought it was going to be good... so sad it turned out like this.

Destined rendezvous under the plum blossom tree !
From all drama, I try to look at them from different angles !The plum blossom represents persistent resilience and tenacious perseverance against adversity .It will flower even in winter! In this story, a love that will stay true to each other against all odds!
This is a low budget production nonetheless the production team strived hard to create an abstract painting feeling in a poetic, artistic, narrative style of storytelling!

The OST was sung in a nostalgic way with tinge of sadness, which is palpable even without auto-translated lyrics! The whole drama was auto- translated; lots of emotions were lost in translation!
The plot and acting centered on 3 main characters, the FL, ML and SML.
The ML - he has that melancholic, dreamy handsomeness, the tragic little boy lost look, which once he found his salvation in the FL, will do anything and everything for her! He will sacrifice even his pride, reputation and ultimately his life. He first met the FL while he was injured and escaping from killers that had killed his father.
The SML – he has that peevish, pretty boy look, who will threw temper tantrums at a whim! A warped and spiteful prince who knew that he did not have the love of his father, the king, and the queen of his heart, the FL. Thus he will seek to destroy their loved ones. He was in a vicious cycle of one who has no love, cannot give or receive love.
The FL –on whom the story hinged on. A beautiful person with a heart that was always willing to help people, a “candle” to the dark tormented souls of ML and SML. With an unwary charismatic charms she drew them in, and in the end, they can’t let go of her. The 2 “moths” died and the “candle” was extinguished.
The light filtering affects that of a surreal, floating, flowery atmosphere as that tale was told in significant scenes in symbolic terms. In the first episode, the callous prince stabbed the FL as she was protecting him, means that he will not be steadfast, and will only use her for his selfish interest. She was Good Samaritan who helped him when he was beaten, thought he needed her and was proven wrong. In that last episode, when she was reunited with the ML at their meeting place, the plum blossom tree, she heard a voice calling from the other side of the tree (from the mortal world) She turned around to help but hesitated for a long .She then turned to the ML and said that she will stay with him in their world that they had promised, to be together for immortality.

Confusing plot + messed up translate
This actually kinda good quality short drama. The costume, make up, décor everything kinda not cheep & the cast acting bearable & quite good actually. But unfortunately MangoTV still can messed this up.As usual MangoTV translation kinda suck. Sometimes completely mistranslate, sometimes no translation including the missing voice (so no sound at all, only Hanzi or mandarin word in the screen). So yeah except you very influence with HanZi or at least you want to read the word completely, you will like me, not really completely understand the plot nor the word they said in here. Haha...
I don't know it's just me being not understand the plot or what. But I feel the plot or story sometimes like jumping from place to place. Like after Zhang Xiao Mei's (XM) sister gave birth suddenly the child is missing & there's goat. Or just like Zhou Qing Zhu (QZ) & XM run from Li Ye, suddenly there's 3 years gap & I don't really understand is QZ only dream or what, but they also say XM died 3 years ago. So d*mn confusing.
In the end I hang on till the last cause still hope the story can make more sense in the end & because this just short drama. If usual length drama, I'll gonna drop it....
