In the movie, Yukio Asao is an apathetic college student. Suddenly, he was accused of murder. The only thing he can remember is that one night, he was suddenly wrapped in a ray of light coming from the sky, and the next thing he knew was that he was in an interrogation room. While desperately trying to fight against the allegations of a crime he has no memory of, a lawyer named Sawako explains to him that he has traveled 25 years into the future. In this unknown future, time travel has become possible. A law has been established to eliminate future criminals by bringing them forward from the past and publicly executing them. Boku ga Shokeisareru Mirai or In the future, when I am executed, was a thrilling movie. It was enjoyabel to watch, although some action scenes weren't well executed. Still, the universe where the movie takes place was quite interesting and the plot unfolds nicely, as the pace was managed well. The performances were really good too, as well as the CGI, which helped with the presentation of the movie's whole thoery. The flash backs, however, and the whole drama were a bit over the top. So, seven out of ten.
