TO THE POINT!!

This drama is so To The Point. This is what dramas should be like. where can i find more dramas like this? T-T also., why does this not have any reviews?? (guess im the lucky one to be writing the first, lol) So going back to the drama, The drama ooof, ...Its so good that I cant find out any single flaws here. well, maybe there ArE but idk they were unnoticable to me. Soooo, You should watch this drama cuz it has:

No complicated storyline
No love triangles
No jealous SFL/SML
No sad ending
No useless quarrels between ML FL & misunderstandings
No complicated court shit
A SuPeR hawt, badass, attractive & sometimes cute looking ML (he made me a simp bro)
cute FL
Excellent visuals, settings, costumes, makeup & camera quality
& Finally, No reason for you to not watch :DD

By any chance if you stumbled upon this drama, DONT SKIP. Its actually VERY GOOD for a short drama. It takes like 2hr or so to finish this & i would totally love to rewatch this anytime soon. The rewatch value is 8/10 for me. The story is repetitive & not that unheard of so. i would give it a 7. As for the acting/casting, im not the one to judge but for me its a 10. & the music too, i really liked it. Its so sweet and calming to my ears..

moving further, I want the ML to be recognized more man, He has so much potential to be bigger & do greater projects. Imo, He fits the baddie roles sooo gooood. Even though, hes not potrayed as Thaaaaat baddie here in this drama..He gives off such baddie vibes maan,,I would love to see him as a badass character in upcoming future. & coming to fl now.. The fl did a good job with her role. She should get more opportunities to roam in different genres and characters in future. Also not neglecting the side characters & other guest roles, they also performed their roles to their fullest aswell.

Sooo, in short, The drama is very nice. The characters execute their roles perfectly & the storyline and eps are very simple to follow. Its good to watch when you are free and have nothing else to do. Basically, VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED FOR YALL to watch when you feel like you have nothing to watch. If not for anything, just watch for ML bro lmao.

Hidden Pearl

The story is not new, but the execution is great. I've seen a lot of C-dramas. This is not to be missed. ML and FL not only paint wonderfully in ancient costumes, but can also play. This was the first story I saw them in, but it certainly won't be the last. FL is beautiful, smart . ML is persistent, handsome and cunning. The chemistry, the humor, and the visuals are also great. The music with the heartbeat and the insertion into the series is perfect. Even though it's only a miniseries, I would watch the characters for a longer time.
Congratulations for the team.

Created an account just to review this gem

It's short and to the point -- felt like watching a no filler, speedrun of your average historical C-drama. The dynamic and the chemistry between the leads were absolutely amazing. Had me pausing and giggling!

It's a solid plot too, and doesn't hold back on any of the emotional punches despite being so short. Perhaps because it's so short and to the point, those emotional punches were even more effective. The cuts are efficient. Every scene between the two, my god they are down horrendous for each other. The ulterior, overarching political plot was not too complex nor too simple considering every episode was 11 minutes long. It was just right.

A fun little part I didn't expect was the relationship with the second prince. That was fun. He's absolutely hilarious, I laughed so much at his antics.

I'd dock points for the ending and one little bit I would consider a bit of a plothole. I understand that they wanted to leave the ending open for interpretation hence why they did what they did but it was a bit confusing as it can be with reincarnation/regression storylines. But catharsis was reached and it was a great watch. If you're looking for something to just pass time with, no major commitment, doesn't require a lot of thinking and delivers emotionally, this is the one!

Beautiful, direct and great actors

This drama has a short duration, straightforward episodes and a story that follows an uncomplicated line. It presents a rebirth-themed story that seems complicated at first, but then starts to make sense. There are funny scenes and step-by-step it is possible to understand Mal's relationship with his brother in the dynamics of the royal palace. I recommend it to those who don't like messing around and prefer to reach conclusions easily! Only the ending seems strange and requires watching it twice!

Only last part don't get it

God gave chances to a girl to change her fate . The story starts from here.
Crown prince had framed wrongly because of this he had given poison wine by the emperors's order along with his wife and they died but his wife got the chance to change the fate and the time turned and her life started when the decreed of proposal of marriage had come to her . She knew that she would died if she say yes so she called off the marriage but she can't changed the fate and they died . She got another chance to make the things correct but again they died . In her third chance ,I really don't get it this part . Did thay had got different life wher he was not the king . She always knew what would be happened in the future but the ML's character did not know about anything. So in third chance she directly hugged him ,he first shocked then he also grabbed her with a smile . Did he also know their past lives. On the other side his body guard telling the story of their two past lives and earned the money . So his body guard also knew something . Or it all just coincidences. Last part confused me .

This is good! With only 10 minute-ish per episode, this short drama is quite a quick watch, yet it's just as interesting!
It's a simple historical fantasy romance, with enough drama that doesn't really stress you out, and the characters are not that many and not that complicated, so it's not hard to remember and get connected with each of them.
The palace set and the wardrobe is simple but still beautiful, and I love how it has a soft color palette that looks pleasing to my eyes.
The plot is pretty cliche, but the chemistry between the characters are enjoyable to see and kept me watching until the end. There's not much fighting scenes, not that many intrigue and evil people either.
The pacing is also straightforward and not dragging at all. I don't skip much in here because every scenes with the leads are so romantic, they look really good together, and they both are so pretty!

ITS A MUST WATCH!

This was my first mini series and I am quite impressed how it’s straight to the point and it’s not boring at all! This series was very enjoyable to watch with plenty of great laughs and most importantly I love the chemistry between the ML & FL. I love how they were not afraid to show affection - they know what they want and got it. The ML was definitely a strong ML he made me fall in love with him with his cute little gap between his teeth. The FL is just absolutely gorgeous! I kinda wish there would be a couple more episodes with them getting married it would’ve topped it all off for me.

So far, the Chinese mini-series I've given the highest score

I binge-watched 8 Chinese mini-series over the past couple of days, and this one stood out as the best among them all. The only other one I found passable was "Confess Your Love," which I rated 1 points lower than this one. I also watched two other mini-series featuring either one or both of the main leads from this show, and they were both very disappointing.

The biggest issue I found with these mini-series is their lack of logical coherence, which greatly disturbed and hindered my ability to appreciate their work. It's quite frustrating when you're forced to pay attention to characters, who behave stupidly and irrationally, that aren't worth investing your energy in, don't you think?

Regarding this mini-series, it's the most logically structured among the 8 I watched. However, it veered into illogical territory towards the end, which led me to deduct 0.5-1 point from the overall score. It felt like they introduced these nonsensical elements for the sake of convenience. It's as if they had a specific ending in mind but struggled to develop the storyline to reach that conclusion, resulting in them fabricating illogical scenarios to meet their predetermined ending. This, I consider, is irresponsibility from the production team.

Nevertheless, this mini-series only exhibited these issues towards the ending (about 1-2 episodes before the end), whereas many others in this genre scatter illogical elements throughout when they run out of ideas to maintain a logical storyline. Overall, this mini-series ranked at the top of my list among the 8 I watched.

--------------------------------------------------

P.S. The list of my 8 binge-watched shows is as follows:

Passable:
1. The Deliberations of Love
2. Confess Your Love (2023)

So bad:
1. My Villain Husband
2. A Tale of Love and Loyalty
3. My Cat-astrophic Lover
4. My Fake Wife

Dropped:
1. The West Wind Is Strong
2. The Everlasting Love

Chemistry between the leads is good, worth the time spent watching it!

I usually tend to avoid mini-dramas like these because they lack flow and are not very coherent. This one flowed smoothly, was easy to follow and the chemistry between the leads was so damn good. It was also the light drama that I needed to watch to get rid of the C-Trauma I watched before this.

The acting was good. The story was nice. All is on a good drama.

The only thing amiss was the ending. It is an happy ending, but it would have felt nice, if the ML would have acknowledged that he remembered the past times. But the way it ended, we aren't sure if he remembers. Other than that, this has made me want to give mini-dramas another try.

Model Student for Short-length Dramas

I. Introduction
This is what all short-length/ web dramas should aspire to. The synopsis above is incorrect as this isn't a transmigration story, but a rebirth one. In the first life, the FL married the ML and they were affectionate but not deeply in love (as alluded to in later episodes). However, the ML plotted a rebellion and the couple was granted a peaceful death by poisoned wine. The FL drinks the poisoned wine, but finds herself waking up on the morning the rebellion is scheduled to take place. She manages to knock the ML out, but they are again granted death by poisoned wine when the ML's accomplices proceed with the rebellion in his absence. So the FL drinks the poisoned wine again, and finds herself waking up the day the emperor granted an engagement between the FL and the ML. This time, by hook or by crook, she plans to avoid the ML and all palace intrigues to save her life and her sanity.

The plot device is allowed to flourish at an adequate pace, without random scenes or continuity issues. The performance, while not perfect, still draws you in to believe the characters' feelings and perception. The setting, staging, music, and clean happy ending all come together to create a worthwhile ~4-hour diversion.

II. Storyline/ Plot
I absolutely loved the storyline. Let me count the whys: (1) The FL showed deep character development. She starts off as a 胆小怕死 blasé twit, intent at avoiding the ML at all costs, but grows braver once she understands her feelings for him. (2) There are hints sprinkled throughout the episodes that the ML remembers his first two lives, and the grand reveal in the final episode compelled me to rewatch the series from the start to review the hints. (3) There is subversion of expectations--I expected the ML to be an overbearing twat, but in episode 12 he vehemently argued that even if he was interested in the FL, the FL had to be willing to accept his interests (before he pursued her). Even the timely comedic scenes subverted expectations, e.g., when the FL trusses the ML up like a turkey in episode 1, when the second prince only wants the ML to lose his crown prince position but not his life or his reputation, when the betrothal gifts were pushed back and forth, when they argued in episode 13 and the ML pauses in storming out when he realised he was storming out of his own palace, when the FL's parents leave her at the mercy of the ML, etc. (4) The romance was not forced, and the development of the characters' feelings were paced well. (5) The ending wrapped up loose ends really well, even if there were some openings to keep viewers guessing, just none that were too frustrating.

Points are deducted for the use of modern gaming slang (e.g., 老六, 猪队友), causing confusion that this is a transmigration story instead of a rebirth story, and for the mess that is episode 23. I mean, if he could fling the sword like that, why didn't he do so from the start?

III. Characters
ZJM is a beautiful, mischievous FL trying to get out of the clutches of the ML. LF is better at expressing obstinacy, care, mischief, and cunning here, than he was in My Villain Husband. The chemistry between ZJM and LF is adorable, leaving me gushing and squealing at times. The ML's rivalry and brotherly affection with his brother (the second prince) is humorous and touching-- they are allowed to kick their brother in the nuts but nobody else is allowed to insult (or make use of) their sibling. This drama definitely made good use of the ~4 hours to showcase good character development for the FL and ML, and explore facets of the second prince rather than taking the easy path of making him a one-dimensional villain. The supporting cast did so well in their roles--even the geese in the betrothal gifts were paid actors!

IV. Production Aspects
The drama boasts impressive production value with a well-designed, visually-appealing set. My word, the costumes are gorgeous-- the delicate details that went into the FL's and ML's costumes and makeup! The production team also invested in two songs that elevate the drama to almost full-length drama quality, and are complete ear worms.

V. Conclusion
A must watch and a must rewatch for the times when you need something simple and simply gratifying.
