Not bad if you are looking for a low-commitment drama fix

For a short-length modern drama, this is one of the better ones - I've seen so many modern short-length ones that are excrutiating and unbearable. The production values are much better than most mini-dramas I've seen, and the music too, is surprisingly nice for a low budget production like this. The acting by the leads are generally pretty decent as well. Wang Zuyi, in particular, has a lot of potential, especially if you've seen him in the short-length costume drama, The Only Girl You Haven't Seen. He does "radiantly happy" and "earnest and vulnerable" so well, it can be a bit hard to buy the "Domineering CEO" stereotype here.

The story itself is okay, but it does lean into some classic tropes, some of which I am not a fan of, including 1) the problematic "Domineering CEO" mentioned earlier (he grabs her wrists bruisingly hard a couple of times and is kind of stalker-ish, demanding to know who she was with, even though they broke up five years earlier) and 2) the "crazy ex-girlfriend/vengeful jealous friend whose feelings are unrequited" (they have one of each here!). The ending is rushed (surprise, surprise!) and a bit .... different (for a lack of an unspoilery adjective).

I waffled between a 7.5 and an 8, and finally settled on 7.5 because of the ending and some of the CEO's behaviour -- still a high grade in my books for a short-length series. Overall, if you are looking for something modern, a quick fix with low-committment, and modest expectations, you could do a lot worse.

In the last scene did he dream about her or really she appeared in his life

Eight minutes' drama but never realised that each episodes was just consisted eight minutes .Very nicely every part of the drama executed . All characters were good ,lead as well supporting one .
I have only complained with the drama was that it should give the drama a proper ending and for it , if it needs four more episodes then it should made it..
If She decided to leave him then why she came back ,what made her to do so or it was just his dream this part is not clear .
I think it needs a perfect ending .

Very confusing plot

When I started watching it I thought it would be one of those cute mini dramas with a story that would hold me to the screen, however that's not what happened
I found the whole story very confusing which made me get a bit lost in what was happening. I have to admit that I was hoping it would be better because the synopsis caught my attention but it wasn't all that I imagined.
But not everything was bad, the acting, the chemistry and the friendships that existed throughout the drama were perfect.

P.S: until now I still can't understand that ending .....

Not to bad…

This was a not to bad short drama. Could it have been better? Sure. This is one of the better short dramas and I have seen a lot of them!

Storyline - was not bad but could have used some work. More explanation maybe. I just wish the credits at the first did not take up a minute and 31 seconds of time they could have used for more of the story. It was a better short drama compared to others though. It is not one of my favorites but it is not one I absolutely hate. If I had to nitpick one thing…(and I am not sure if this was because it was on YouTube I watched it instead of their APP) the sound went out in some episodes in parts and the subs went off also. I find that in a LOT of these short dramas. I get they are low budget but come on… you’re really going to put something out there that the sound totally disappears on or weird music starts playing and the subs go off? It happens way to much in these short, low budget dramas.

Acting/Cast - I actually liked them all. Thought they did good with what they had.

Music - was actually good compared to other short dramas. Accept the weird music that started playing in one of the last episodes.

Rewatch - yes, I would sometime down the road. It was not all that bad.

Don't waste your time and effort with this drama - bad acting and story

"Love at Second Sight" is a short web drama with 10 minutes for each episode. It was so boring, and the acting was horrible by the main CP.

It would be better to have a 10-15 episode with 20 minutes each. It was draggy, and being raised in the orphanage and adopted by the bad parents, mainly the father, should be reviewed earlier.

The emotional acting from the FL was bad, and I feel she does not have range. She will remain in a supporting role. She played a similar role in Flight to You, where she was timid and fearful and did not seem to overcome the nervousness and fearfulness of her characters from the start to the end of the drama.

Please don't waste your time, it is a horrible drama, and I am giving it a 3.0 rating.

Decent Mini

This started off strong for a mini. However, the character development is lacking. The ML shows range in his acting. Some scenes leave too much open to be assumed. I guess that is for 'shock' factor in the end. However, these grown people need to learn how to communicate than allow more and more things to fester. This becomes tiring. The OST and production were pretty good for a mini. This caring 'loving' someone to the point of hurting them and not effectively talking is overdone. The ending is very rushed and ended like a high school play. Almost laughable. But I guess we as the audience should 'assume' all is well, they are back together and the end. SMH. Watch it if you don't want to take anything too serious.

the acting and the visual

another short drama, the story is quite simple, but sometimes a bit "throw back" to show why this why that or what happened during the past.. overall can say, it's ok to watch and satisfied by their visuals.. but the thing i can't enjoy is the ending.. for me, it is like open ending, as we don't know what happened with the cunning girls, and how is the relationship re-develop again.. besides, how come they got together (you will know what I mean after finish watching).. hoping there will be S2..

"Love at Second Sight" is a short web drama that had potential but the main leads don’t have good chemistry and for a male lead that is a great catch, the plot really messed with him too many times. The female lead is wrong over and over again and the male lead deserves better. The female lead is not even completely honest with her best friend about the real reason to why she broke up with him and her friend is always barraging him with false accusations that the female lead doesn’t care to correct and portrays herself as the victim. Wang Zu Yi (as Gu Yi Bei, the male lead) is great bringing his character to life and shows a good range of emotions but Shao Yu Qi (as Su Nan, the female lead, lacks proper use of facial expressions and body language. Overall, the drama was not convincing in bringing the leading couple’s relationship to a satisfactory end since the end seems more like a dream.
