KILL FIGHT REVENGE and REPEAT
Mercy for None feels like a Korean version of John Wick — stylish, violent, and focused on one unstoppable man. From the very first episode to the last, it’s almost nonstop fighting.The biggest strength of the drama is its action. The fight scenes are raw and intense. There is zero romance, which is a big plus for viewers who prefer pure crime and revenge stories.
However, the drama lacks emotional depth and proper storyline development. The main character is powerful and feared, but his personality doesn’t feel fully developed. He is more of a symbol — a “devil” figure — than a layered human being. There isn’t much character growth, and there’s no strong bromance or meaningful relationships that build tension.
The story mostly moves forward through violence rather than suspense or psychological thrill. It feels more like a long action sequence than a well-structured thriller.
Overall, it’s not bad — it’s entertaining if you want pure action — but it lacks the emotional and narrative depth that makes a drama unforgettable.

Brutal and stylish fight scenes.
This series takes gang fights to another level of sophistication and numbers. The ML literally puts Rambo to shame with his body count despite not using any guns. He could also had featured as a professional baseball player with his superlative skills with a baseball bat.The action started fast and furious and it took 3 episodes before one could catch a breath to figure out the story line. Then it was a rush to the finish albeit less adrenaline fueled as it becomes more apparent that the killings must finish and the ML will be immortal until his mission to end all scum lives is completed.
Overall a good watch for those more appreciative of gruesome violence.

Impeccable ensemble of actors who brilliantly carried the whole series despite the so-so story.
Wow. The line up of actors in this is crazy good! So my expectation was a bit high! This is what they usually say great cast but mediocre script. With this is I would repeatedly praise and go on and on how good the actors were despite the mediocre story. It could have been a movie because of the script/story, but it was such a treat how they made it into a limited series just to see the brilliance of these actors. The story doesn't have much depth into it but the actors-gave it so much life, the attention into details of the actors with the characters they are playing is what made me finish is it till the end.They gave the characters their own life-they interpreted it in such a way that it surpassed the story itself. I stayed because of the characters.
Nam Gi Jun played by So Ji Sub is such a straightforward character, but you would see throughout the series his ruthlessness is also equated to his humanity. The ways he made layers in his character is brilliant and subtle at the same time. That made it so satisfying and not overly glorified.
Give it a try and you would be on a ride-it was a treat especially for those who want a cleanse and witness the action-packed intense scenes-straightforward fighting filled with grit.
The one thing I appreciate is that for every fight scene you could see that when they focus the intended character each actor will have their own side-the side of the will and grit to live and stay. To fight for each of their own causes.
Don't want to spoil but it would have been nice if this was longer to explore of their so-called world. I don't know if I am biased but at some point it resembles the world of John Wick - maybe inspired by it but sadly if this is so it would have been really better if they made it to a full blown series-maybe it would have been given another turn and maybe a world of its own would be created. It has that potential!!!
But all in all it was a nice one-the actors gave this one a life. Easy watch and entertaining one!

Mercy, no.
Tbe intrigue was built on the schemes behind doors and crossed alliances. The reason behind it all began 11 years prior and ended at his death. Along the way, the second generation with their own grandiose plans became the engine of the sub plot. Stripped down, one by one, they all paid the price.I like the acting, but found the plot a little lacking, the action repetitive and ml a bit tiresome. A John Wick with the same sense of dread and inevitability but without the charm. He came across too flat to be enjoyable for the long haul. I will not lie, I began rooting for the mastermind behind it all but still wanted the man with vengeance to win. How that was going to happen, go figure. Too many wasted fight scenes.
Ultimate lesson, be careful of what you wish for and the means you take to get it. Overall, it was better than most of its genre. It will keep your attention but the mismatch between the ml and the mastermind was very underwhelming. By the end, I was saying, ok die now. Incredible presence by all the actors. Just needed a little more pop in the light and less heaviness in the dark. The ending as it should be.

John Wick is back to Korean Underworld
This series gives me vibes of John Wick and Rome must die the American movies, the storyline is very similar but what differ it from the movies is exceptional cinematography which takes this series to a different level."Mercy For None" is a drama about Gi Jun, a former gangster who has lived in seclusion for 11 years, but when his brother suddenly dies similar to Romeo Must Die, Gi Jun returns seeking revenge. After a while, though, it does get a bit tiring how he just keeps killing every single person he comes in contact with similar to John Wick,
The Cinematography had done remarkable job on fight scenes that looked good and bloody. You can't help but get hooked on how Ji Sub get's out of every situation he's in, whether he's facing one person or an entire room of people.
So Ji Sub is the perfect actor for an action drama; his movements as he kills are like ninja, you can't take your eyes off the screen.
Choo Young Woo played a a dark and sinister character of Geum Son which is very different from "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call". He does a great job at showing his acting ability.
Jun Mo played by Gong Myung makes you really wish for a painful death on his part ... which he eventually gets!
Overall, a good revenge action drama, It's short and fun to watch. But if you're looking for a serious crime drama - you won't find it here.

Mercy why did they even use that tag?
Honestly most boring drama I felt, at least a good cast and proper plot would make it better. Everything was predictable it's not like we are watching for the first time of such plot. I genuinely like Choo Young Woo so I was expecting something better would happen but nothing. Mercy, why did they use that word mercy, it should be given to a person who is perfect and being killed for some unknown reason. When it comes to Nam Gi Seok I didn't feel like it was mercy scenario, even he killed Mr Oh son the main head. So for what reason our hero went out on revenge I don't understand. Coming to the plot it was predictable from the very beginning itself, there was no single scene that could be named as suspense. Coming to action its good but I didn't like the lead from the way he looks. Only if the plot goes like this then I think may be a better rating would be.This is completely my point of view in planning better I feel. Let me know in comments

Lee Geum Son realises in the end that he is the one who ordered the death of Nam Gi Seok . Where he will killing himself stating no one should be given mercy even for self , mercy for none , that title would be perfect."
Coming to in between plots it would be better if they showed that Nam Gi Jun killed his own brother in order take JUWOON so it would be a perfect plot. When Lee Geum Son kills the brother Nam Gi Jun thinking he is the one to kill his friend. And he kills Nam Gi Jun then in the end Lee Geum Son realises that he was the main reason.

Absolutely Brutal Revenge Rampage - So Good
From episode the first up til the end, this was a revenge rampage of singular focus and it was all the better for it! This show maintained all of the bravado and pulse pounding action. I have loved every second of every minute of it! There is no nuance here and there was no need to be. The series states exactly what is is Mercy for None! The cast was fantastic too! However, the younger cast was no match for the veterans! So ji Sub, Lee Jun Hyuk, Huh Joon Ho all superb! Lee Bum Soo was great comic relief!I actually, may read the webtoon to see what was left on the drawing room floor! This was such a quick, fun binge I recommend to all.
On a side note; the amount of hotness in this series was off the charts. Here's looking at you Jung Gun Joo! Please give this man some lead roles!

WARNING - it is EXTREMELY GORY.
But if you don't like gore; then don't watch...?This is really tailored towards hard action, raw, and gory/bloody scenes.
I personally am NOT a fan of it but man it was extremely well directed and intense!!
It still really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and honestly so crazy twists that I was not expecting...
Honestly, storyline was really intriguing and totally understood the main lead.
Really won't get that deep into the lore; but if you like action, revenge - then this is totally for you.
I won't say I loved the ending but I definitely didn't hate it either.
Overall, I enjoyed it despite the crazy amount of fighting; would recommend to those who genuinely enjoy action packed watches; NOT for the faint hearted, deep storyline seeking people, just skip!

John Wick meet K Wick
I put this on the back burner for a long time because I wasn't sold on the synopsis.If only someone said "John Wick meet K Wick" then I'll know exactly what I'm in for because this is just action packed with great fight choreography and a gritty dead inside character who is just going on a revenge spree.
Story is basic and I can't give this full points only because John Wick does world building out of the one dimensional characters but this is not world building. The characters are all one dimensional which is fine because the focus is on revenge and slicing people up.
There's no cute girls which is great like if they threw in a idol girl that just changes the dynamic of the series. In fact there are no girls because this is a series for men of men.
Acting is one dimensional like I only disliked the out of character moment where no spoiling but he isn't just dead inside with compassion but he ended up doing a bit too much in one conversation which I felt was unnecessary.
I also felt like the actors that supported the lead whether fighting him or just entangled didn't show any genuine fear. The show would have been amplified if they made him a demon like hearing his name sends chills and the new generation would witness this throughout the development of the series and ends with them cowering in fear. That's kind of what is missing because it felt like all this destruction and yet you aren't afraid of a monster hunting you? ... at least I wasn't sold on the acting because their fear felt bland.
Otherwise I was in it for the violence, the gritty-nature and fast paced story telling of revenge.
What's more impressive is some shows tend to make what I consider should be easy fights into hard fights. In this show I was surprised at just seeing him kick ass but it would have been better if he simply didn't get hurt as much because it should be like One Punch Man or Mashle just overpowered which explains why he became a legend in the gangs.
The ending felt good too which I like.
I actually hope there's a season 2 just exploring how this guy became a legend and feared among the gangs but then they'd have to make him look way younger.

Mercy for None: An Unforgiving Dive into Darkness
This series is simply brutal! For fans of the genre, it's definitely worth checking out — the action scenes are incredibly intense. I started watching full of excitement, but honestly, I ended up feeling more exhausted than the protagonist himself, who somehow manages to endure absolutely everything. It's poetic license, so fair enough. The mission gets accomplished and that’s it — but let’s be real, we all know this kind of story never truly ends. The performances are impressive, especially Choo Youngwoo, who once again proves just how versatile he is.
