A school teacher Do Kyung dies as he fails to save his student Ji Yong from drowning. After the two pass away, Do Kyung's wife Myung Ji and Ji Yong's sister Ji un are left alone in the world, having to cope with the loss of their loved ones. Myung Ji travels to Warsaw, Poland, to stay distanced from her harsh reality and meets an old friend to whom she hides her husband's death as if she is trying to reject the tragedy. While she is unable to let him go, Ji Eun is hospitalized as her health condition worsens. Lacking any enthusiasm for life, Ji Eun also struggles to recover. On the day of the Warsaw Uprising, where people commemorate the death of victims of their dark history, Myung Ji returns to her home in Korea, where a letter from Ji Eun is awaiting. She conveyed her feeling into my soul.

With all the sadnesses, with all the unhappinesses, we shall also find our healing also. We couldn't blame to anyone, we shouldn't blame our life. Life goes in. Life may hurt but never give up our hopes. I cried with myeong -ji, I healed with myeong-ji, I thought together with myeong-ji, I behold the beautiful night of Poland with myeong-ji, feel like Europe, oh it's Europe indeed. I empathized myeong -ji. I love both sunrise or sunset, because it's our nature. Death is a beautiful secret. I sometimes thought how to console myself if my loving ones also leave me one day. Well, it's life, we can't predict or choose. Be sad or do cry for a while but dear, you should also give a relax of those sadness. Get a healing., a traveling for example. I love nature the most because whenever I feel so lonely or sad I rise my head and see the sun, the sky, feel like they tell me it's going be alright and console me, hug me from far. I also console her in her Instagram and her kindness reply me like this "your words always make me happy".

Frederic Chopin's heart and the journey in the grief

The film is beautifully shot, and the cinematography is natural and serene. The director is very impressive with her film experience. The scenes are not arranged chronologically, as they are like a journey through the feelings and desires of a human being regardless of age.
An unquestionable value of the film is Warsaw and the Warsaw Uprising, which became the setting for the heroine's inner and spiritual journey. Frederic Chopin's heart, praying for the dead and giving someone’s life for his homeland become a motif that transforms her internally. The most important question of the story is whether it is possible to live after death. Is death the total devastation of everything we have?
We observe two stories, linked by the same theme of self-sacrifice. One story is about the grief of a wife, the other is about the grief of a boy after the death of his closest friend.
Not many words are said here, but the intensity of feelings engages the viewer every minute.
The music is beautiful.
I recommend it to anyone who loves deep stories in a minimalist style.
